Sect Points: 6
Age: 16 years (9 Months+)
Poison vials: 2 Corrosion, 1 Concentrated, 3 Paralyses, 5 vials of snake poison, and 3 vials of Devil Pit Poison
Level: QI Formation Realm Level 8 Major stage
“All of you would be divided into groups of 4. Your task would be to cross the forest and reach another entrance on the other side. In total there are 10 entrances on the other side. Only one team can get into the entrance. In other words, if you can’t get into the entrance you should look for another one.” - Elder Jay Vi looked at everybody and continued. - ”We have 28 candidates which means that we would have 7 teams. So there are enough entrances for everybody. You will get a map with information where those entrances are located. And you will have only 3 days to get to the entrance. If you don't get there on time, you will be disqualified. If one of the teammates is in danger of imminent death, judges will stop the exam and the whole team will be disqualified. You are not allowed to use weapons and armour. As well it is related to talismans, the only exception is the talisman which is tracking your place. However, you are allowed to use any type of consumables.”
After that Elder took out a scroll and began to read out disciples names and their team number. Parasite heard Yu Min's name and number 5. When he saw his teammates he was not very glad. Two teammates were on level 6 QI Formation Realm, but the last one was Ken Chi who was on level 7 QI Formation realm. When Parasite checked Kim Li he as well saw that he was grouped with 2 cultivators on level 6 QI Formation Realm. So he understood that judges wanted to balance all teams and that all low level cultivators were paired with high level one.
As soon as Parasite gets to know his teammates he begins to emit emotions of trust. - “You think that I am strong, that I can defend you. I am your big brother. You can trust me.”
He wanted to become a leader of this team, he knew that he could become one by using force. But according to the books which he was reading it is better to have more connections with other people so they would listen to him in any situation. Due to this he was friendly, great everybody and quickly created an atmosphere of trust. On the other hand, Kim Li just terrified all his teammates and they assigned him as a leader of the party. In team one all cultivators were on level 7, but they quickly chose the leader. However, in 4 other teams everybody begins to fight for the position of the leader.

“Now when you get familiar, we can begin the last part of the exam. You can already go. And don’t forget the sun will begin to set very soon. And nights are very dangerous in this part of the wood”
All teams quickly went into the forest. But as soon as they got hundred metres into it they began to go in different directions. After Parasite quickly checked the map he understood that there are only 2 entrances with the shortest path. And with 2 cultivators on level 6 he can’t quickly travel. For sure those potentially will be occupied by other teams. And even if he gets there potentially he may clash with 2 other teams and will lose just due to the fact that other teams have stronger disciples. Due to this he quickly rejected those. Other 4 entrances were very far away and, thus, Parasite as well rejected them. With such a team it may be troublesome to get there in 3 days. There were 4 more entrances left, however, 3 of them were located near one another and 1 was located separately. Parasite chose to get to those 3 entrances while they were shorter than the last one entrance. And there were some chances that they got there before others.
Parasite used his sense to check for the surrounding monsters and due to this he was able to lead everybody through the safe route. However, the deeper they were getting into the forest the harder it was to find the safe route. Amount of monsters was increasing and Parasite was required to do more and more hooks. At some point he understood that if they don’t take risks they will not be able to get to those 3 entrances on time. Currently he was feeling many spine snake nests around and only several Black Wolves. What was strange is after several hours when the sun was setting down Parasite was sensing around 7 wolves which were wandering lonely. It was rare to see a lone wolf in the Dark Forest, but here it was an anomaly.
When the sun fully set down they began to prepare the camp. Due to the fact that it was only a temporary camp they didn’t put tents. Only put some traps around and put on guard one person. Night has finished almost without any problems. 3 snakes tried to get into the camp, but Parasite was able to sense them and due to this he quickly killed those. However, he found that the level 6 cultivator who was on guard was sleeping. Parasite didn’t wake him up. It was almost his turn to go into guard. But early in the morning he had expressed everything he thought about the carelessness of this level 6 cultivator. On the other hand, Parasite took into account that such a situation may occur in future and he should be prepared for it.

During the next day Parasite understood that they couldn’t use any more safe routes. On one side there was the territory of the wolf, while on the other side there was the territory of the spine snake Queen. Due to this he planned with his team strategy to get through the Spine Snake Queen territory. Ken Chi will go first, level 6 cultivators will go in the middle and Parasite will be in the end. In such a way, Ken Chi would be able to defend from the main attack while Parasite would be defending himself and level 6 cultivators. Then didn’t choose the Wolves territory because danger was much higher.
They spend half a day getting through the Spine Snake Queen territory. While they were getting through it hundreds of snakes were attacking them. Ken Chi after all of this was exhausted while the Parasite was in little bit better conditions. They were bitten several times, but there were enough antidotes. As soon as they got from that territory Parasite sensed that there was another group of people who chased them and all of them were level 7, while Parasite didn’t sense the emotions of Kim Li. In the current condition they couldn’t do anything against that team. Due to this Parasite took out the rag which he prepared and quickly set it on fire. Steam was quickly appearing from this rag and the parasite told everybody to run as fast as they can and don’t breathe. After one kilometre Parasite talled that they could recover for some time. But then he sensed that one person was getting to them.
It was one of the cultivators from the team which were tracing them. However, when this cultivator reached them there was fear on his face. When he saw the Parasite team he screamed one more time and began to run in a different direction. Parasite was satisfied with what happened. That poison showed itself very well. Next half of the day was much better while Parasite was able to find safe routes. In the evening they begin to prepare camp one more time.
This night was not calm at all. In the night, the whole group heard the howl from the side which was leading to 3 entrances. Parasite sensed that near them there was one Wolf. And it was howling in order to summon others. That explained much to Parasite why wolves are going separately. Those wolves were patrolling territory and when they sensed cultivators they were summoning others. This was showing that wolves here were much more intelligent. Due to this Parasite talled everyone to quickly grab everything and run away. Due to this night ambush they were shifted far away from 3 entrance paths. Now the nearest was the one which Parasite initially rejected. Due to this Parasite tried their luck to reach that entrance. However, when they reached that entrance, it was already closed. Thus, they were required to stick with the initial plan. Unfortunately, it was already evening and they had only 1 day to reach those 3 other entrances and they were required to spend the whole night in order to get there as fast as they could.
When they reached those 3 entrances, the level 6 cultivators were exhausted. In the case of Ken Chi he was in a much better position while he had higher cultivation, but still he was not at his peak. Only Parasite was almost full of energy. Before getting to the entrance, they first of all checked what the situation was. One entrance was already closed, while 3 teams were near 2 last entrances. One of the teams was Kim Li’s one. All cultivators in his team seemed very exhausted, in many scratches and bites. Other 2 teams had as well signs of tough nights in this Polygon. Currently those three teams are looking at each other trying to understand how to approach this situation. All of them were exhausted, but then leaders of 2 other teams glanced at each other, and nodded their heads. Kim Li’s team sensed that now they are outnumbered.
Parasite as well understood the meaning of that glance. Kim Li’s team was the weakest. Everybody knew how strong Kim Li was. But, not taking him into account, there were two level 6 cultivators and another level 7 cultivator. In one on one fights level 6 cultivators may withstand level 7 cultivators for several minutes. And this could be enough for Kim Li to finish his opponent and then help his teammates. But this time it was one against 2 which will lead to quick elimination of level 6 cultivators and even level 7 cultivators. And then for 8 cultivators it shouldn’t be a problem to beat Kim Li.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
