《Cheat List || Taekook》Chapter 12

Small breaths of air left Taehyung's mouth as he nervously walked back and forth. The boy was waiting for the signal from someone from the technical staff to go onto the podium and do his battle. Nervousness was roaming the boy's whole body and his hands were slightly shaking.
"You look amazing!" Rose suddenly spoke as she walked over to where Taehyung was standing. The blonde girl would have to battle after Taehyung and there wasn't even a tiny bit of nervousness visible on the small girl's face.
"Thanks." The grey haired boy answered while a hint of uncertainty was lacing his voice. The boy had spend at least half an hour at the make up booth and he was wearing clothes that a professional stylist had chosen out for him. Sure he did like the way he looked but it also made him a bit uncomfortable too. The clothes he was wearing were way more outgoing than anything he would have picked out himself and his make up was a bit too much for his own liking too. Ohh how Taehyung wished they would have let Jimin style him. At least his best friend would know exactly what type of clothes would look great on him while they also gave Taehyung the save feeling he so desperately longed for.
"Are you excited to go onto the stage yet?" Rose then asked as she put both her hands on the taller boy's shoulders while sending a bright smile his way. Taehyung smiled back slightly while heavy puffs of air kept leaving his mouth once in a while. "Truth be told, I am nervous as hell." The grey haired boy admitted while he looked at his newest friend with fear visible in his eyes.
Sure Jungkook had told him that he was in fact his favourite but that didn't matter. If Taehyung fucked up the song now the brunette couldn't possibly choose him to win the battle which would result in the whole competition ending for Taehyung. That was something he absolutely didn't want.
The fact that both Jimin and Bogum were actually here to support him through his battle was something which calmed down the grey haired boy a bit. The two most important people in his life were going to watch him battle Jinyoung from the family room and all Taehyung wanted was to make the two of them proud.
"No don't be! You'll win, I'm sure of it." Rose then spoke as she tried to encourage the nervous boy a bit. In the short amount of time that she had gotten to know Taehyung she had immediately taken a liking in him. The boy was everything she looked for in a friend and thus she would support him fully. Opponents or not, the blonde girl didn't care.
Soon one of the members of the technical staff told Taehyung to get ready as Hoseok, the host of the voice, was going to announce him every moment now. The moment the grey haired boy would hear Hoseok say his name he was supposed to walk up the stairs and take his place on the podium, right next to Jinyoung who was going to be announced first.

"And Jinyoung will be batteling against none other that Kim Taehyung. The boy who is famous for his deep voice and pretty face. He will make sure to show everyone exactly why all four coaches turned their chairs for him." Hoseok announced and quickly Taehyung began to walk up the stairs before he went up the stage. Immediately once Taehyung's face got into sight the crowd started to cheer loudly and a small smile began to form onto the grey haired boy's face.
Sure he knew damn well that none of these people had any clue who the hell he was. After all, the blind audition in which he had competed hadn't even aired on television yet. However the fact that he got a glimpse of how it actually was to feel famous was something that was amazing to the small boy. If he screwed it up now then at least he would take the experience he had gotten here with him home.
The moment Taehyung took place right next to Jinyoung the older boy smiled at him with a hint of nervousness on his face and immediately Taehyung smiled back. Jinyoung was in the same boat as him and somehow that gave the grey haired boy a good feeling. At least he wasn't the only one who was practically bursting with nervousness.
Hoseok slowly went to stand in between the two contestants and Taehyung looked up at him for a moment. Jung Hoseok was a very famous host and he presented almost all the big programs on television. The red haired boy could be considered a big celebrity in Korea and there wouldn't be anyone who didn't know who he was.
"Let the battle begin!" Hoseok announced before he quickly went of the stage. Immediately the first few notes of the song Jinyoung and Taehyung were gonna sing started to play and the grey haired boy took a deep breath of air.
Jinyoung soon started the first verse of their song and Taehyung took one last deep breath of air before he completely shifted his mind set and let go of all of the nerves roaming his body. If he didn't shine like he was supposed to now he would be done and thus the boy decided to just give it his all and hope for the best.
Before everyone knew it it was Taehyung's time to sing and immediately his voice filled the whole room with beautiful deep sounds while he moved his body a bit to the beat. A small smile was visible on Taehyung's face and he let himself go completely without a single care in the world. It was as if there wasn't even anyone around him who was listening to the student singing the song his coach had picked out for him and Jinyoung. The boy looked care free and a relaxed aura was visible in the boy's movements.

Soon the last tone of Adele's Rolling in the deep sounded and both Jinyoung and Taehyung immediately locked eyes before the two of them walked towards the other and hugged their battle partner. Sure they were supposed to be opponents but in the week they had spend together the two of them actually had become friends. Sure they would want nothing else than to win this battle but that didn't mean that they couldn't be friendly towards one another.
Soon after both boy's released each other from the hug again Hoseok appeared in between the two of them while an amazed look was visible on his face. The red haired boy's eyes lingered a bit longer on Taehyung before he took his professional posture again and focused on the coaches since they were supposed to say what they thought of the battle.
All four coaches had smiles on their faces while looking at the two contestants on the stage. There was no doubt that both of them were amazing singers and this battle only proved that even more. "Taehyung, Jinyoung." Jennie began to speak as soon as Hoseok asked her to give the two some feedback. The black haired girl looked at both of the boys on the stage as if they were some kind of trophy and she softly shook her head. "I don't know what to say other than this was probably the best battle in the history of the voice of Korea." The black haired girl spoke to which Jisoo immediately agreed. The other female coach looked at the two of them with a smile on her face. "If Jungkook hadn't put you two against each other I'm sure you both would have made it to the finals."
Immediately the crowd began to cheer loudly and a small smile began to form onto Taehyung's face. the fact that someone as famous as Jennie thought that their battle was amazing really made the grey haired boy proud. At least none of them had made a fool out of themselves on television.
Next it was Yoongi's time to give some feedback. The mint haired rapper had a bright smile covering his face while he first focused on Jinyoung. "Jinyoung, I didn't turn for you in the blind auditions. I definitely regret that now since you were absolutely perfect on that stage." The mint haired coach spoke before he then focused on the grey haired boy on the other side of Hoseok. "As for Taehyung, I am still very salty that you did not pick me as your coach. You are the definition of complete when it comes to an artist and now that I see you loosen up a bit more you become more and more a finalist in my eyes."
Taehyung softly smiled at Yoongi's kind words while he began to feel very proud. The fact that someone as Yoongi still regretted not having him in his team was something absolutely amazing to the student. Who would have thought that people as famous as these coaches all thought he was a great singer? Certainly not Taehyung himself.
As it was Jungkook's time to finally give some feedback and pick who had won the battle the brunette shifted a bit in his seat before he looked at his two team members with a sparkle in his eyes. "That was perfect, both of you. Jinyoung your timing was perfectly on point this time and Taehyung the way you performed today showed me how much potential you actually have. This is definitely going to be such a hard choice." The youngest of them all spoke before he looked at his contestants with a doubtfull look on his face.
Suddenly the lights dimmed a bit and focused on Jungkook, Taehyung and Jinyoung only. " I need you to say a name Jungkook. Who will make it to the next round and for who will the adventure end?" Hoseok spoke in his microphone and immediately Taehyung's heart began to beat faster and faster.
A sudden wave filled with nervousness washed over the grey haired boy and he looked at his coach with a hopefull look on his face. The brunette was wearing a small smile on his face and soon he began to talk again while looking at the three boys on the stage. "Both of them were incredible but if I look at uniqueness of their voices then one of them is the clear winner for me." Jungkook spoke before he stood up from his seat and looked Taehyung straight in his eyes.
"Jinyoung I am sorry but Taehyung is the winner of this battle." The coach said and immediately a happy smile broke out on Taehyung's face. The grey haired boy got hugged briefly by his battle partner who also congratulated him before he looked into his coach direction. The brunette was clapping proudly along with the crowd who was cheering loudly while a smile was complimenting his features. The moment Jungkook caught Taehyung starring at him he send a wink in the grey haired boy's direction.

The Trespasser
Synopsis Following his di—instincts, David finds himself in a weird situation; the next thing he knows, he's in a different world, dying, and manhandled by a big-ass alien. When the Source comes to his aid, granting him the access that—like every other sapient—he's due, David barely manages to get out of the fight with his life intact, but is that enough? Of course it isn't. The very Source giving him powers is also poisoning him to death. Oh, there she is, the petite female alien. Will that be enough to save him? Of course it won't. If he wants to be saved, he has first to save himself. The only way to do so is by getting to know the world around him, but even before that... Why the bloody hell did I have to be called Deviant!? *** Blurb? Blurb. The Trespasser starts slowly, I believe I've written a decent world, and I want you to find out what it's all about, won't just throw it in your face because of *levels*. I do not like stories that don't make sense. David is not a murderhobo, he respects life and answers to the world and the weird situations thrown at him with irony and sarcasm; so you are looking for easy killing streaks, you will not find them here. So, a man finds himself into the wild? It's a different world, and yet he can breathe its air? Finds himself in a lucky-low-level zone? Oh, look at that, people speak English—how likely is that? So, nope, not for me, gentleman. You won't find anything of the likes here. Again, a man finds himself in a new world but only thinks about the system? Yeah, that's not exactly how it works. David will try to find out what it's really all about, what the aliens want, how they work, why is that Fay really helping him? You can kill somebody to get levels, and yet there is not even a form of police? Not gonna happen here. Man becomes suddenly overpowered in a world where people can live for thousands of years by having enough luck to face only lower-level people? Hahaha—nope. Lastly...Spaceships and fantasy with LitRPG... say what!? Well, what's wrong with that? Let's make it happen, shall we? *** You want even more info? Really? Alright... David will start from the very bottom of the food chain, so there will be a settling arc—it's inevitable. David will find true companions, with personalities and backstories, and they will have a life of their own. There will be enemies, and those enemies will have a life of their own, too; there will be no evil just because. The world-building will have true depth; it will not exist just because the protagonist visits it. There will be both Fantasy and (Soft) Sci-fi—yeah, you heard that right. There will be rationality to every action taken, as long as the characters are aware of what is going on. There will be a godly system. You will come to read because of the world-building, but you will stay for the characters. The dead stay dead, and you will weep for them. There will be no action without a reaction. Lastly, there will be laughs. Are you still up for it? Then get in but fasten your seatbelts because it's going to be a wild ride. *** Release Days: Twice a week Release Time: ~09:00 PM UTC Words per chapter: ~3000 This web novel is also available on other platforms.
