A sky full of light for only me to see

The stars they give their light so selflessly

When shall they die? only the future holds

Yet it is the past in which their fates are sealed

How many eyes have seen the same as mine

How many of them have I missed

I grow sad as I imagine their beauty gone cold

As I rise there is only one light that I behold

So I forget as in the sun light I bathe

I track its path and journey as it goes

Now it's gone and I feel alone once again

I miss the star but now a trillion take its place
