Your role within your wolf Pack was a Hunter. You took some pride in this role indeed, always being proud to bring food back and feed your Pack. In fact, you had been so good at your role, the Alpha had assigned you to be the head of the Hunters. You basically led out a group yourself, let someone else in charge of another, and you all went and searched for prey.

There was always one area that caught your eye: a pasture, with sheep scattered here and there. But, there was a problem standing in your way: a black-and-white furred farm dog who guarded those sheep and the pasture in which they stayed in. Sometimes, you would send a younger wolf who was past training. They always came back, claiming the dog would fight to even buy enough time for the farmer to bring his sheep in the red barn nearby.

Today, you planned to go yourself. The other wolves gave up, but you refused to let this dog protect at least one this time. This time, you planned to hunt down at least one. You had devised a plan: since the dog came out a certain time every day, you would wait till he came to guard the prey. Then, when he would seem pretty distracted, you'd create some sort of diversion and make his attention be on something besides the sheep. Besides, all you wanted was one.

You crawled on your stomach across the grass, stopping at the tree line that led to the forest. There, across the field, was the fenced-in pasture. You noticed the farmer open the barn door and let the sheep flock out one by one. He put an ungloved hand to his mouth and let out a high-pitched whistle, which made you whine in confusion and tilt your head. Then, out came the farm dog, walking into the area and looking around at the white clusters of fur. You noticed he had a very prideful glint in his dark eyes.

After the farmer went into the barn again and close the door, coming out from the side, you quickly stood and trotted over to the fence line, crouching down again to hide. Your (F/C) fur certainly would stand out against the green grass, so you just hoped the fence would be enough to hide your body for the most part. Thankfully, it seemed to work, as anytime the dog looked over he didn't react. So, now you waited.

It wasn't too terribly long after that when you saw him start to walk over to two sheep over by the opposite side of the fence. He started to bark and growl, to which they mostly ignored him. 'Perfect! Now, what would work as a good distraction... ah! That'll do!' You noticed a few bales of hay and straw at the side of the barn, so you quickly darted over in that direction. You made sure to go slowly but quick enough against the side of the fence, heading towards the bales. As you reached them, you noticed an open window that was big enough for you to crawl into right beside a closed door.

You walked up the hay and straw, poking your head through the window. The light in the barn was on, and straw was scattered across the floor. You also noticed an upper level with a latter leading up there. You slipped in, having a little trouble at first but getting the hang of it. Luckily, there was some bales on the other side, so you managed to get down safely. Turning towards the door, you noticed it was cracked open ever so slightly. 'Again, perfect. Now...' you pawed at the door, opening it slowly with all you could muster.

It eventually got open wide enough, and then you looked over to some tools nearby. "Great! I'll knock them over, and when he lunges at me, I'll move in time for him to knock into that pile of hay over there!" You whispered. This plan seemed to be working out all too well. But, that didn't sop you from going over to the tools and pawing at them. They came down, clattering loudly. Within a minute, you heard paw steps getting closer, and then the dog showing up in the doorway. "YOU!" He barked.

You crouched, baring your teeth and growling. "Come at me, you... pet!" You hesitated with the insult, not sure if it was good enough, but he snarled either way. He ran and lunged, to which you quickly moved and watched as he fell face-first into the hay bales behind you. You ran over to the door, going outside and quickly pawing at it again. By the time he got up and shook the hay off his face, you had shut the door all the way. "Take that, farm dog!" You growled at him from the other side.

You ignored his barks and insults as you walked over through the field. Jackpot! You noticed a sheep that looked as if it had enough meat for the whole Pack. Crouching down, you began to sneak quietly. It was asleep, so that made the job a bit easier. You still didn't want to wake it, so you just continued to sneak. It was so close now, yet something made you stop. Maybe it was the fact that a body rammed into you, knocking you away. "Go on, now! Get away!" The dog barked, causing the sheep to bleat and run away as quick as it's long, stubby legs could carry it.

"Oh, come on! Seriously?!" You snarled, frustrated. You quickly stood yourself up, glaring daggers at the dog. He glared at you as well, but had a small smirk. "Forgot about the window, huh?" He asked. Now you just felt offended, if you weren't before. So, out of frustration and anger, you swiped a paw at his head. He managed to duck in time, but he didn't move from his spot. "Look, I know they're your sheep. But, my Pack needs one, at the very least! One would be enough to feed out Alpha, the other wolves, especially the pups!" You told him.

You weren't sure why, but you felt that if maybe you told him, he wouldn't seem so reluctant to let any of you take the sheep. Yeah, he thought otherwise. "Oh, yeah? Well, the meat on those sheep feeds my Master and his family! Not to mention the fact that their wool helps make their clothes!" He replied. You were confused as to how he cared so much about his Master. Eh, probably a dog thing. Though, you saw some wild dogs out in the forest, so that just confused you even more. "Look, I know your intentions, and I respect that. A loyal Pack wolf. And, despite me not going to let any of you steal my Master's livestock, I think we've started out wrong. My name is Silo. Yours?" He suddenly asked. Well, that was quick.

You weren't sure why he was introducing himself, but took it as nothing but a greeting. "Alright, then. (Y/N) is my name." You responded, hesitantly. You just thought he was moving a little too quickly. Not in a weird way, but just up and moving introducing himself after that, it just took you aback. "Well, I better get all the sheep inside! See ya some time, (Y/N)!" He barked, before running off. You watched for at least a minute as he rounded up and led the sheep away towards the barn.

"Oookay, then. See you later... Silo." You responded quietly, not sure what else to say. But, you just trotted off, managing to climb your way over the fence and go off towards the forest again.
