Where's your home, Beam? Are you sure you are really going home?
*
Forth looks at Beam. He doesn't understand. "Hoy, why would I do that?"
"It's unlikely that I'll use it anyway," Beam says. He puts his gear next to Forth's bowl.
"Weren't you planning to use it as the shield while you fuck some dangerous person's girlfriend?" Forth smirks.
Beam laughs. "They will hardly spot the bracelet. I will use my Engineering blue jacket."
"Yeah, yeah. That's bigger, all right." Forth laughs too. He takes Beam's bracelet. "Owh man, the leather quality gets better with time." He is comparing it with the one he is wearing on his right wrist.
Beam chuckles. "You should take care of the leather better, you shouldn't wear it while taking a shower, or swimming..."
"Naah... what's the point then? The heart should be strong in every kind of weather." Forth rebukes while winking at Beam. "You sure I can have it?"
Beam nods. He is smiling.
"Man... and I thought you are already growing a heart after doing SOTUS, but you are always the same Beam Baramee, huh?"
Beam just smiles. He looks at how Forth takes off his bracelet and wears his.
Forth holds his worn bracelet. "Now what to do with this...?"
Beam chuckles. "That's your heart, P'Forth... give it to someone to be taken care of."
Forth laughs. "It's rich coming from someone like you." He still plays with it. "I guess I'll change the leather and make it like a brand new bracelet again. So it would be presentable and I can return your gear."
Beam blinks. "No need, P'Forth. I won't use my gear other way anyway. Besides, if you change the leather, it will lose its meaning. It was tied up during the GEAR ceremony, not in a leather shop, wasn't it?"
Forth chuckles. "Yeah." He puts the leather bracelet in his bag pack. "I'll just keep it safe then. Thanks for this, N'Beam." He shows Beam's bracelet which is now on his right wrist.
Beam smiles. "Your welcome, P'Forth."
Not long after they finish their breakfast, Beam just waves at Forth who is already on his bike.
"Owh? Don't you have a morning class?" Forth asks.
"I have to get my bag from upstairs," Beam says.
"Owh, you do not have it with you?"
Beam shakes his head. He is still smiling.
"See you then," Forth says.
Beam nods. "Bye, P'Forth," he says softly while waving along as Forth drives away.
Not long after Kit arrives with his car. "Good morning, Beam. Sorry, I had breakfast with Ming first."
Beam nods. "It's okay. I already got my bag ready. Thank you for your help."
Kit nods.
They walk upstairs to get Beam's bags and boxes. When there are just two boxes left, Wai is running upstairs to get his wallet from his room and then he is stunned in front of Beam's door.
"P'Beam? What are you doing?"
"Owh. Good morning, Wai." Beam smiles.
"Beam, I'll bring this last box and meet you at your room," Kit says.
Beam nods. "Thanks, Kit. See you there." And then he turns his face to Wai, he is holding a last box himself. "I am moving out."
"Huh? Why?"
Beam shrugs. "My brain is almost about to explode because of all the numbers. I don't have the brain for this Engineering subject. I rolled out."
Wai laughs confusedly. "What do you mean you rolled out?"

"Like I said. I am no longer an Engineering student."
"This is just the second day, P'Beam. Don't give u..."
"I don't have the brain for Engineering subject," Beam says again. "My heart can't take it. I will go crazy."
"But..."
"Send my regards for Posh and the others, okay?" Beam says while smiling. "And help me with the door. Just leave the key at the back of the door, I'll notify the landlord." And then Beam starts walking away.
"But, P'... don't you need to say goodbye or something to the boys and girls?" Wai is confused.
Beam keeps walking away. "No need, Wai. I'm no one. Just one of the freshmen, they won't even notice my absence." And then he turns for a while. "Bye bye, Wai. Drop by the Meds some time, will you?" He even winks.
Wai is frozen in his spot. "P'Beam!! You are the Moon of Engineering!! You can't do this to us!!!"
But Beam is walking away already.
Wai looks at Beam's room. He nearly closes the door when he notices that Beam's room is not completely empty. There is something on his desk.
Wai walks in.
He takes a look at the only thing on the desk. SOTUS signature book. He opens it and makes a WOW with his lip movement.
It really has 1000 signatures. Beam really made a legend by becoming the only freshman who can complete the 1000 signatures task in 5 days. Wai chuckles seeing the girls' names, major and in extra: their phone numbers and lipstick traces.
And then he sees the last signature.
From their Head Hazer.
Wai caresses on the signature.
"I love you too, N'Beam" — Forth Jaturapoom
Wai blinks. Is that a tear stain next to it?
With Beam's signature book in his hand, Wai runs downstairs and jumps in front of Posh who is standing beside his car.
Posh was getting off of his car while seeing Beam put a box in his trunk and he got to see more boxes in Beam's car. Moreover his roommate from the previous dorm, that Med kid was there too.
Posh points at the road. "Beam just left with boxes. He said he is moving out," he says to Wai.
"Not only that, baby." Wai says in panicking. "P'Beam is rolling out from Engineering too."
"He what?!"
"He left this." Wai shows the signature book. "I think he is giving up on something."
Posh looks at Wai. He doesn't understand.
Wai opens the last page and shows Forth's message and signature.
"That was a joke. We know that," Posh says.
Wai points at the drop of tear stain next to it.
"Shit." – Posh.
"Yeah, shit." – Wai.
"We have to tell Irin and Prae!" – Posh.
"Yeah! Wait! I still forgot to get my wallet." – Wai.
"Aish. Forget it. You have me anyway." – Posh.
*
"No way!!!" Irin holds her head with all her ten fingers raking on her long hair.
"What do you mean he is rolling back to Medical?!" Prae is panicking too. "He owns this university or what?!"
Posh, Wai, Prae and Irin are sitting in their class discussing Beam.
Wai sighs. He is still holding onto Beam's signature book. "It's our fault... we shouldn't have joked about ForthBeam."
"Aish, Wai... The joke is on them," Posh says. "It's not our fault that both of them fail to see what's happening between them. P'Forth clearly treats Beam differently and Beam adores him too."

Wai looks at Posh hopelessly. "But P'Beam left. Means P'Forth doesn't love him back. He probably still loves that Science sophomore, last year Moon of Science. I heard about them. P'Forth has never been with anyone since."
"I hate P'Forth." Irin frowns.
Silence.
"What will we do?" Prae looks at Posh.
"Must I decide everything as to what we'll do?" Posh frowns.
Wai, Irin and Prae nod.
"Aish..." Posh sighs. "Let's just drop by at Medical food-court and check on him."
The other three agree instantly.
*
Everyone gets into Posh's car during the lunch break and that's how the four of the noisiest gang in the entire first year drives to Medical.
"P'Beam...!"
Suddenly four Engineering students shower Beam's table.
Beam is stunned seeing his friends. He is sitting with Phana, Kit and their boyfriends.
Phana, Kit, Wayo and Ming look at Posh, Wai, Irin and Prae. Each confused.
"Be... P'Beam..." Posh has difficulty to decide whether to still call him Beam or address him as a senior. "Why did you leave without saying a word? Is it because we did something?"
Beam laughs. "No. Of course not."
"Is it because of something that P'Forth did?" Prae asks.
Beam chuckles. "Of course not."
Phana locks his eyes on Beam. He wants to know too why Beam suddenly rolled back to Medical. The reason that he doesn't have enough brain makes no sense. Though he knows Beam would roll back... eventually, but not this soon. Beam loves Medical too much.
Phana has not had the chance to squeeze the truth from Beam when Wayo and Ming decide to join for lunch at Medical, and now these annoying kids are here too. Looks like Beam made some good friends.
"Then whyyy??!!!" four of them look at Beam desperately.
Beam laughs.
Ming who is sitting beside Beam shakes his head seeing his juniors.
Phana, Wayo, and Kit who sit across Beam and Ming look at Beam's friends amused.
"Just pull a table and then have lunch together with me. My treat," Beam says softly.
They follow the order and sit.
"Let me introduce you to my friends," Beam says. "You know Ming, he's your senior," he says.
Ming just looks at the freshmen.
They reply by giving a proper wai to Ming.
"That's Kit, Ming's boyfriend," Beam continues.
Kit smiles.
The freshmen smile back at Kit.
"He's cute." Irin whispers to Prae.
"That's Wayo, he's from Science. Last year's Moon of Science actually," Beam adds.
Prae and Irin glare instantly at Wayo.
Wayo blinks. He is shocked with those sudden angry glares. He barely manages to give a smile to them.
"He's Phana, Wayo's boyfriend. He is last year's Moon of Medical and last year Campus Moon."
The freshmen just smile thinly to Phana and then lock their gaze on Beam again.
Phana raises his eyebrows. They are completely not interested in getting to know him at all.
"Why are you the Moon of Medical when you have P'Beam?" Prae frowns. "He is far more handsome than you, P'."
"Maybe because they knew P'Beam won't take it seriously, or he has his own mind while doing it and make people worry," Wai says.
"Ah, makes sense."
Phana looks at those kids un-amused.
"P'Beam..." I don't think you fit well in this uniform with a green tie and black shiny leather shoes. Let us put you back in jeans, T-shirt and blue Engineering jacket, na?" Irin pleads.
Beam smiles. He shakes his head slowly. "Sorry, na. I was not thinking straight when I decided to enroll into Engineering Faculty. I even told you as to why I was enrolling there during my story telling at the Campus Moon competition. So after SOTUS returned my senses back, I decided to do the right thing. Pursue my dream to be a surgeon again."
Posh, Wai, Irin and Prae look at Beam sadly. But they know this kind of thing is big. They can't just ask Beam to go back to Engineering just because Engineering won't be the same without him again.
"Sorry, na~..." Beam says again. "You can drop by anytime if you miss me."
Irin cries. She hugs Prae.
Prae taps on Irin's head.
Wai straightens his lips, tries so hard not to rant his frustration.
Posh looks at Beam trying to read between his words.
"Something happened, didn't it?" Posh asks.
Beam shakes his head. He is still smiling. "SOTUS happened, Posh. It enlightened me. I can't be an asshole forever, can I...? I have to take my responsibilities. My education is one of them."
"Just by the first day of the study? Really?" Posh looks at Beam suspiciously.
"It's not like..."
"Did something happen during your trip with P'Forth?" Posh asks again.
Phana, Wayo and Kit turn their attention to Beam abruptly.
Ming looks at Beam. He knows Beam was driving with Forth. It's not a big deal, they are friends.
Beam chuckles. "No..." he says. "Guys, listen... that ForthBeam thing only happened in your mind. It's not real."
Phana blinks. He looks at Beam's eyes and lips carefully.
But Beam is stable.
Posh blinks. He smiles sarcastically. "Really? That's not what I see it as."
"Wai, your boyfriend has hallucinations. Cure him," Beam says to Wai.
"Owh, you are boyfriends, cute!" Wayo is happy seeing a pair like Posh and Wai.
"I don't like you, shut up!" Wai blasts his frustration on Wayo. More because he thinks that Wayo is the reason that Beam is sad.
Wayo gasps.
Phana is too shocked to even react.
Kit and Ming are too.
No one has ever said they don't like Wayo just within the first encounter. But these freshmen are something else.
"P'Beam, Posh may look stupid, but he has good eyes," Wai says to Beam.
"Seriously, guys, Pha and Forth just became friends again after a long time. I don't want Pha to misunderstand and get angry with Forth again just because of your imaginary ship." Beam says wth a slightly higher tone.
The freshmen look down. They drop their gaze to the table.
Beam pats on Posh's shoulder. "Let me buy all of you lunch, okay? I'll treat you all gyudon and iced latte. And then you can make a fuss at some place else."
*
Not long after, the freshmen finish their lunch and excuse themselves.
"Tell Park I'll miss him," Beam says. "Make sure you say it in front of Lam."
The freshmen laugh as they leave the food-court.
And then Beam has to face Phana's judgmental look.
"Forth gave you trouble?" Phana asks.
Beam shakes his head. He looks back at Phana calmly.
Phana blinks. "What is this ForthBeam thing? I heard it during the Campus Moon competition too."
Beam sighs. "Remember the 1000 signatures task?" He asks.
Phana nods.
The others are listening.
"To get Forth's signature, I had to say that I love him. And then he gave me his signature with a reply that he loves me too... in my book. That's how it started. I posted it in my IG a month ago."
Phana blinks.
"That's it." Beam assures.
Phana nods. "Sure. I believe you." He looks at Beam deeply while continuing, "Anyway... we are having a drinking party with Forth and the boys this weekend, like the old days."
Beam gulps. He smiles. "Yeah. Would be great..."
"Can I join too...?" Wayo asks Phana carefully.
Phana nods. "Sure. All of us."
Beam takes his water from the table and gulps it to hide his nervousness.
Phana still has his gaze locked on Beam. He is trying to figure out...
