"Why are we going?" My son Jason asks. I roll my eyes.

"Why do you keep complaining?" I ask. He just shrugs and gets into the car.

We are heading to the snow for a week. Me, my five year old daughter and my ten year old son. We will be meeting my auntie's and cousins up there.

"Mumma I gotta pee." I sigh and unbuckle Ezra from the car seat. I get her out and run her inside.

Other than actually leaving the house, it didn't take that long to get to the snow. We only had to stop twice throughout the trip so it only took eight hours to drive there. We get there and it's nearing dinner time so we check in to the cabin. It's a nicely wooden heated cabin much like from the movies. Each one of the family members are in cabin rooms right next to or across from each other.

"Hey Eliza, can you watch the kids for a minute? They need to have showers and I want to double check what time our lesson is tomorrow before the receptionist goes home for the night." My cousin Eliza nods and starts to get them ready for a shower.

"Hello, could you possibly check my skiing lesson time for tomorrow?" I ask as I get to the desk. A young lady smiles and nods.

"Sure, what's your name?" She asks politely.

"Gwen Harriet" I say. She nods and I wait as she's starts to look it up.

I feel a presence tommy right as I wait. I glance and can't help but double take as all the memories come flooding back. Amalia Orrison. My old boss, in her blue eyes freckled nose blond hair glory. Even though she is now forty-five she is still the most naturally stunning woman in the room.

"Amalia?" I blurt the question before it even process. She turns to me, shock and recognition in her voice. She smiles.

"Gwen." Her soft voice and smile still makes me melt.

"What are you doing here?" I ask her. She smiles.

"I'm here with my husband for a vacation. And you?" I give a strained smile. She's married. I forgot about that.

"I'm here with my kids. We came up here for a family vacation, meeting the extended family up here for the holidays." She smiles.

"You have kids now?" I smile.

"Yeah. A son and daughter." I smile and show her photos.

"Jason and Ezra. I had Jason not long after I left the company." I say with a smile.

"They're gorgeous." I smile.

"Miss? Your skiing lesson is booked for 11am tomorrow morning." I smile at the person behind the desk and thank them.

"Skiing lesson?" She asks with stealing undertone. I blush.

"It's more for the children." I mumble. She gives a soft laugh and caresses my arm.

"I'm only teasing." She says. I smile.

"Just hold on a moment." She says to me and turns to the guy behind the desk.

"Are we able to get some extra towels?" She asks the clerk. They nod and grabs some towels from behind them handing the towels to her.

"Well, what room are you staying in?" She asks.

"I'm in 107. How about you?" I ask with a smile as we walk toward the rooms.

"120." I smile.

That's good then. We'll definitely be seeing more of each other than." I say. She nods.

She walks in silence next to me until we get to my door.

"Well, I'll see you around." She says as we stop in front of my door.

"It was nice seeing you again." I say softly. She smiles and nods.

It's now I take note of how close she is to me. I move hair from her face and tuck it behind her ear. She blushes softly. Before anything else can happen the door opens and out runs my two children and their cousins. Jason bumps into me, causing me to grab hold of Amalia to steady myself. I watch as he trips. I sigh and walk to him, helping him up.

"This is why you don't run Jason." I say. He bows his head.

"Sorry mum." I smile and ruffle his hair.

"Go find where your sister and your cousins went." He grins and runs off.

"He seems like a sweet boy." I smile and nod.

"He's a good boy." I say looking toward the children.

"Well I best be off." I give a strained smile to hide the disappointment and nod.

"I'll see you around then." She smiles and nods.
