The next morning, they were awoke by a screech from none other than Princess Zelda. The two jumped out of bed, rushing down the stairs with their weapons in hand. They stopped abruptly at the bottom of the stairs, rubbing their eyes sleepily as they looked. The princess was in no direct danger, and so they wondered what she was yelling about. She looked over at them. "Oh, did I wake you both? I'm sorry, I was just startled by this scary-looking spider..."

Link and Emery shared a glance between each other. Zelda noticed. There was nothing but love in their eyes all the time. Only, love they didn't know they shared. Zelda had been watching over them this whole time to know just how stupid they were being. It was completely obvious how the other felt, and yet they still thought the feeling wasn't mutual. It was in every one of Zelda's plans to bring them together. They belonged that way, it was completely evident to her and everyone else. When the ancient words of her ancestors said the two were one, it meant in more ways than just the shared Triforce.

"Anywho," She continued. "I suppose today we'll make our way to Zora Domain. We must give the King closure and find a new champion to pilot Divine Beast Vah Ruta. The dangers should be minimal with the evil of the world being cast away so recently. I say it will bring for a smooth travel."

Link and Emery headed upstairs silently as Zelda watched. They were still exhausted from their fight with Ganon yesterday, and that was to be expected. Still, Zelda dragged them along. A hero never rests, as his- or her- duty is never fulfilled. She took a seat on the couch once again, waiting for them.

Emery pulled off her clothes, too tired to even think about how she completely exposed herself to Link. Her back was turned away from him, so she would never notice. He looked at her body, as he couldn't help but admire how gorgeous she was. It was on the curvier side, but he couldn't imagine it any other way. Her hips stuck out from her smaller stomach, and she was as beautiful as a Silent Princess. He knew that was Zelda's flower, but Emery deserved her own, too. He turned around to respect her privacy, even if he could stare at her all day long.

She continued downstairs, her hair pulled into a tight ponytail since the night before. He'd never seen her with straight hair, at least not down her back. He watched as she pulled the tie out of her hair, letting it fall perfectly. It sat, shining amongst the rays of light from the window above them. He frowned slightly as she placed her hood atop her head.

They all three filed out of the home, where Emery wished she had her own horse. She'd lent her other horse to Zelda for now, as she couldn't stand the thought of her riding with Link. It seemed it wasn't a very suitable horse for her, so soon they'd have to get their own. At least Link didn't have to worry about it, he was lucky to have such a legendary horse. Just on cue, Zelda spoke. "You know, maybe today Emery and I should look into getting a horse we connect with. That's important in choosing a horse."

"I'm sure Emery doesn't mind riding Epona, right? They seem to get along well." Link shrugged.

"Well, I'm sure it would make things easier for all of us. Besides, I'm in need of a horse I connect with. You know how I am." She explained.

"Right..." Link mumbled, continuing on slowly until they found a bunch of horses, all with no home. Emery and Zelda hopped off their horses, leaving Link alone. They approached them all, looking for one they just knew had to be theirs. Emery was still devastated about Charlie. Hopefully he was okay somewhere, having the time of his free life.

Bringing her out of her thoughts, she looked over to see Zelda climbing onto a solid white horse. It looked like the one she was said to have ridden before. She'd obviously found her horse, but it was taking Emery a bit longer. She turned around, and there stood a dashing solid black horse. It was sleek as it stood, basking in the warm sun. She approached it, sticking her hand out to it. The horse sniffed her hand, then gladly licked it. She climbed on top, and he let her. She pet him soothingly, and he obeyed her seemingly automatically. Just as it was with Link and Zelda's horses. She knew she'd found the one for her.

She met back up with the two who awaited her. "That's such a beautiful horse!" Zelda commented, reaching out to pet it. He let her, but it didn't seem to be very happy about her gesture. Emery felt the same way when it came to Zelda.

She was the princess, and Emery felt a duty to protect her. Though, she felt that with everyone. She couldn't stand the way she and Link were with each other. She hated that they had a complete past and had known each other longer than Emery had Link. All she wanted was to love him, to kiss him, but she would never get that. Link had realized his love for Zelda after seeing her stunning glow. There was no doubt about it. Emery was hurt, but there was nothing she could do. How was she meant to deal with such heartbreak? She never learned how to deal with the loss of her family, and she never even met them.

They made their way to Zora Domain, stopping when Zelda did. She wanted to see all the sights and sounds, and feel the breath of the wild in her hair. She was finally free from Ganon's Malice, and Emery couldn't blame her. She couldn't imagine what Zelda had gone through. She was a good person with a literal heart of gold, but Emery couldn't bring herself to like her. No matter how much she wanted to.

When they arrived, people were shocked. They heard whispers all around. "It's Princess Zelda! How is she alive after all these years? Not to mention, Master Link and Lady Emery. They were the ones who freed the Divine Beasts and saved Hyrule."

They greeted the King on foot. Prince Sidon rushed to Emery, taking her hand in his. "I'm so glad you're okay, I was worried sick after everything had happened. I wondered if you'd made it out okay."

Emery's face turned red. "Uh, thank you for your concern, Prince Sidon." Link's face was red too, but in a different way: with anger.

"O-of course." He nodded, placing a kiss upon her hand. He stepped away, allowing them to finally speak to his father.

"It's been a long time since I've seen your smile, princess." He spoke powerfully. Zelda grinned brightly at him, and Emery wished she had that kind of effect on people. It was probably one of the main things that won Link over. She was just so hurt, by everything...

"Thank you." She bowed her head to him. She approached him, stepping away from Link and Emery. He glanced over to her. She was sharing a glance with Prince Sidon, and it made him unbelievably angry. What was he supposed to do? He paid no attention to the words shared between Zelda and the King. All he cared about in that moment was Emery. Though, he knew he could be angry all he wanted, it didn't change the fact that she just didn't feel the same way. She'd completely disregarded him when he confessed his love for her. The way she felt was obvious to him, and he knew it was a long shot anyways. Things were just all wrong now. So, he looked away from her and continued barring his burdens silently, as Zelda had put it.

"You want me to be the pilot of Vah Ruta?" Prince Sidon was seemingly shocked, but why? He was an incredible Zora, he would be fitting for the part. At least, Emery and Zelda thought so.

"Of course, Prince Sidon. Though, you know the task is very demanding. I wouldn't want to force you into a place you don't want to be in." Zelda replied, clasping her hands out in front of her as she always does.

"I'll do it, I would love nothing more than to help out the Princess of Hyrule, and Lady Emery." He flashed her a grin, his teeth sparkling. Link crossed his arms over his chest. Emery gave him a small nod, a polite smile on her lips.

"Thank you, your duty to your people will never be forgotten." She bowed her head to him. Link didn't think he deserved the role, but what did he know? He walked out of the throne room, taking a look around the Domain. He was getting praised left and right, and now he knew what Emery was talking about. Though, he was thankful she was getting the praise she deserved, too. He took a seat somewhere upon the steps of the Domain. He needed to be alone. Why was he being like this? He'd never felt like this about anyone, girls were never his main concern. It was his unfulfilling duty to fight and protect. Well, he was quite the jokester with his friends but that was before he was chosen. After that, everything changed. He changed. He had no friends, he wasn't fun anymore, he was just the chosen hero. He never spoke, and so that didn't make him seem friendly. No one ever showed an interest in him like that anyways, so maybe it was him.

"Hey." He heard Zelda's voice as she took a seat next to him. He was silent as he gave her a glance, but went back to looking at his hands. "What are you doing out here for?"

"I didn't want to be in there." He shrugged simply. She knew what was going on, she just wondered if she could get it out of him. He wasn't ever that close with her before, he was still as quiet as he was now. Maybe he had regained all his memories. Either way, she was here to help now.

"What's been bothering you, Link?" She asked. He looked up at her turquoise eyes. They were big and wide, and he knew she wanted nothing more but to help.

"Don't you already know everything?" He retorted. She frowned slightly. This was obviously really bothering him, and that made it more evident to her that she must fix this. She always felt it was in her duty to fix everything, and make it all right. It made her feel like a failure when she couldn't do so. That was how she and Emery were much alike.

"I know that you won't make a move." She replied. His head swung up in her direction.

"Don't you think I've been trying? I'm not going to force it if she doesn't want it, princess." He sighed, bowing his head sadly again.

"Wallowing in your own pity isn't going to get you there, either. Your moves are poor. She doesn't believe you love her. You simply choose the wrong times to act upon things, and then back out the last minute. What is she supposed to think?" Zelda defended the girl she desperately wanted to like her.

"I told her I loved her." He argued.

"And when? In the middle of a battle- the most important one yet, at that. That speaks nothing but poor timing, Link. You need to make a move, if you want to keep her." They looked back to where Emery and Prince Sidon were talking. It may have been obvious to Zelda that Emery wasn't interested, but not to Link. He was a boy and he didn't know much about this kind of thing. She knew this was going to be long and agonizing, but once they were together, everything would be joyous.

"I guess you have a point..." He mumbled.

"Now, if you want her, you must do something about it." She said, standing up. He stopped her.

"What do you suggest I do then?" He asked. Her lips curved into a small smile. She tapped her chin as she thought.

"Emery loves roses. Flowers of any kind. Maybe if you get her some flowers, and gain the courage- which I thought you had- to tell her your feelings, it'll work out." She insisted. "It's as simple as that, you're just overthinking it because you're scared. As soon as she knows you love her too, then she'll feel better."

"Too?" He asked. She shook her head with a playful smile. Boys really didn't know much. He was completely oblivious to her feelings towards him, but she was too. No matter how obvious they were.
