《Sirens in Seattle》{chapter 4}

"Dammit" I cursed myself as I burnt my index finger curling my hair.

"Mia you ought to be more careful." Minnie said under her breathe, too busy trying to align her eyebrows perfectly after like the third try.

I stayed concentrated on my last curl and cheered at myself once it fell in with the rest. It's been ages since I've actually done my hair up. I fluffed it at the roots a bit before mentally approving. I wanted a break from my natural curls so I opted for straightening my hair then curling it for a more sexy and controlled look.

I walked over to my bed and slipped off my cozy pajama pants and replaced them with my new little black dress. The dress was black and tight, crossing in my midsection to show off skin, and make my boobs look great. The only issue was that it was so tight even breathing made the material stretch.

It was one of the things I picked out on my last shopping spree and I saved it for a perfect night.

"Mama Mia you look hot!" Minnie whistled turning around too look me up and down.

"I better look hot, I'm coming to slay these other tricks " I replied sitting down on my bed to strap on my heels and laughing.

I could always joke around and have so much fun with Minnie, one of the five million reasons I love her to death.

I wasn't 21 yet, and neither was Minnie but being in college you learn to get connections in the form of fake identifications and older men.

Minnie finally emerged from my bathroom wearing a short red dress with black wedges. Her dress wasn't as tight as mine , it had a a flowy bottom, but it was definitely shorter.

I stood up, growing a few inches from the heels.

"Ready?" She asked and I grabbed my wallet, checking it to make sure I had everything I needed and she smiled happily that her eyebrows were sharp and no longer looking like sharpie marks.

"Ready."

"Oh my god you know a security guard that works here?!" I said gasping looking up at the club we were about to enter with excitement.

It was a few story's high and had a rooftop where lights were visibly flashing and people dancing could be seen through the glass the surrounded the top. was printed in dark bold holly wood style letters across the front and there were hoards of people littering the streets around the club and walking up and down the streets.

I could already feel the bass of the music pounding through the floors, making my blood rush with energy.

The club was a massive establishment whew many famous celebrities have been photographed when they come to Seattle. The line went around block, filled with people that hoped to get lucky and get in.

"Yeah, remember Jeremy? The most amazing guy I met? He totally has the hookup here." She smiled and grabbed my hand.

Minnie led me to front of the line, where we continued to get extremely dirty looks and scoffs from the hopefuls, and other girls who were just as nicely as we were.

"Jer-Bear! This is the girl Mia I was telling you about." Minnie introduced me to Jer-Bear.

Jeremy was a good 6'3 and had black hair and was very muscular.

He stuck out his hand and shook mine in a firm grasp that if it was any tighter he probably would have completely crushed my arm bone.

"This way." Was all he said before letting us through the rope that let us enter the club, without checking I.D or anything. I was too stunned for a second to even follow until Minnie pinched me and brought me back to this world.

Minnie and I looked at each other a squealed before hurrying through the entrance and up the stairs to get to the rooftop, which is were I assumed the highest ranking individuals were.

If I thought the bass was loud outside it was nothing compared to it inside. I could feel it pulsing in my chest and making the ground thump and wobble under my heels.

The first thing that was prominent was the huge dance floor filled with bodies grinding against one another.

The second most noticeable thing was the huge bar that warped around the place , basically allowing alcohol any time any place.

"Are you sure they are not going to ask for ID?" I nervously yelled into Minnie's ear.

She shook her head. "You show ID at the front to get in!"

I nodded still a tad bit nervous. If we got caught Jer-Bear would probably loose his job, but Minnie didn't really seem to have my worries as she was already swaying with the music.

I took a deep breath and willed to let everything that I was stressing about go. The second I did that, I was a new Mia.

I grabbed Minnie's hand and we out in the dance floor.

---

'Now if your talking bodies, you got a perfect one so put it on me' blasted through the speakers.

I laughed and got closer to the guy I was dancing with , I vaguely remember his name was something with a A. Alex...Andy... Aster something of that sort.

He was taller than me and had sandy brown hair and a gorgeous smile.

I may have had a drink or two , maybe even three but it didn't bother me because Minnie and I wouldn't be driving home (thank god for taxis) and I had no classes the next day.

I promised myself when I first got here that I would let completely loose.

I made true to that promise when a rather wild song came on and I took that opportunity to grind on the guy.

Mysterious A name and I danced for what seemed like hours before I excused myself from him.

"Can I get your name one last time?!" He shouted over the music.

"Mia!" I shouted back and finally turning around once I seen him nod.

I looked around for Minnie but didn't see her in the sea of people. I danced from person to person hoping to bump into her, but her blonde curls weren't to be found.

I began to get really hot from all the body heat so I decided to get a breath of fresh air away from the dancers.

I slowly made my way down the long flight of stairs , gripping tightly to the rail. They definitely didn't seem this difficult going up.

"Jeremy right? Can I step outside for a little bit? If Minnie asks tell her I'm outside." I told him once I made it down the stairs and back to the entrance, my words not coming out as smoothly as I expected them to be.

"Um, are you ok? Maybe it's time for you to get home..." Jeremy trailed off looking at me up and down as I danced between feet. These heels were really getting to me.

I shook my head wobbling on my heels a little bit more. "No really I'm fine, trust me!" I exclaimed patting his arm as he helped me down the last few steps.

The line into the club was nonexistent and I clicked on my phone to read 3:36 am. Although the line was gone, the streets were still crowded with a good amount of partygoers wandering and laughing their drinks off. Of course a few throwing their night up into the bushes.

I giggled to myself as I walked a little ways away from the club embracing the fresh air. The night mist felt exhilarating, and I felt like I was practically steaming.

"Hey girl, you got a number?" A man across the street yelled at me and I raised my arm to flip him off , making all his friends "ooooooo" All of whom were holding large bottles of alcohol , probably way more intoxicated than me.

I was about to yell an insult back when I felt a hand wrap around my upper arm making me wobble some more on my heels, but the hand steadied me. I pulled my already too short dress down, since It rode up when the unknown hand almost made me fall.

"Gentleman, I think it's time for you to go on head home." I heard a familiar voice yell at the men across the street from me.

The men were obviously upset at having to go, didn't put up any argument and packed up grumbling.

I swiveled around to see the officer from the coffee shop , the same one who gave me a ticket.

"Are you stalking me, officer Phoenix Adams?" I asked narrowing my eyes at him and reading his name plaque again and drawing my words out longer than I meant to and letting my mouth fall into a frown.

His mouth was in a tight line. "Don't flatter yourself. We always patrol theses areas in nights like this. There's always tons of irresponsible people who decide to drink and drive or get themselves in trouble."

I scoffed at him. "I don't drink and drive. That's disgusting." I rolled my eyes in disgust as that small notion suddenly made my stomach churn and I was fighting back the urge to throw up.

He shook his head getting irritated. "Obviously " he began. "Your walking, and picking fights with guys that are up to no good. You're obviously publicly intoxicated, and wearing basically nothing. Please tell me your over 21."

I shook my head at him and smirked, the urge to vomit slowly fading."Don't worry about me or what I'm wearing. " I tried to divert the attention off my underage drinking. I may of been overly buzzed but I wasn't dumb.

He cursed out loud and never let go of my arm. My judgement was clouded and I had no filter at the moment.

Maybe letting loose was not the thing to do.

"Give me your address. I'll take you home." He told me while leading me to his patrol car that was at the the end of the street. At this point he was more halfly carrying me than guiding me.

I couldn't help growing ,annoyed at his usual bossy tone.

I ripped my arm out of his grasp and shook my head.

"I can't leave my friend."

He rolled his eyes and re grabbed my arm.

"Um I just got a call. She's waiting for you at your house." He told me. I narrowed my eyes but just nodded my head, even though he didn't even pull out a phone.

"Wait, I should really talk to her myself..." I trailed off looking back towards the club and trying to dig my heels into the ground, and when that didn't work I quickly attempted to run back into the club (bad judgment call) but that did not happen as smoothly as I hoped.

He tried to re grip my arm as I bolted backwards but his fingers slipped, making me bite the floor hard. My knees connected with the ground first causing instant bruising. I let out a painful groan when I rolled onto my back to have Pheonix standing above me with his arms crossed.

"Get up." He barked at me, but the thing was I kinda could't. My heels were way to high and my dress was too short , so I just laid on the cement trying to figure out how I even got in this position.

The floor was damp from cold air and now my entire backside was cold and damp and all of my body parts seemed to be sore from the rough fall.

"I can't." I stated struggling to sit up and keep my legs closed at the time time. I felt like a just born deer.

"Come on. Get up now." he tried to say in rather commanding voice that made tears well up in my eyes. I was not a cry baby, but with this drank in me, my emotions seemed to be in a whirl I could not control.

My tears finally let themselves free when I noticed a small scrape on my elbow, and in a small part of mind I came to the conclusion I was drunk. I began sobbing harshly , making Phoenix let out a groan.

He finally bent down and scooped me off of the side walk, and literally carried me into the cop car, sitting me down onto the back seat.

He put my seatbelt on before closing and locking my door. He then stepped into the driver's seat and put the keys into the ignition. "What's your address?" He asked again, turning in his seat.

I didn't even get to answer as my eyes fluttered shut.
