"Ouch." The green-eyed boy had bumped into the grey-eyed girl once again, and her shoulder had collided with his very sore rib cage.

"We should really stop meeting like this, you know," he said teasingly, "what's your name? I'm Percy Jackson." The grey-eyed girl was obviously startled, but after she'd calmed down she replied, "Annabeth. Annabeth... Chase." The duo walked off, chatting amiably.

The girl with the frizzy brown hair and golden eyes had just returned to class, feeling much better after her talk with Piper. Her makeup was wiped off-"You look beautiful just as you are," Piper had said-and she was sure Marie would freak, but then again, if Marie was a true friend she'd understand. Fate must have had it in for her that day, because Marie declared that the girl was no longer her friend. Even though the girl knew that Marie was fake, it still hurt.

The blonde-haired boy had asked Piper if she gave him the money, and when she reluctantly nodded, he'd asked why. The reply was still confusing. "Because you're cute," she had said, and she skipped off happily. Little did he know how much trouble Piper would be in if he understood what she said.
