《Michael and Sara One-Shots (Misa)》2x19 Gunpoint

He checked his watch for the fourth time before frantically looking around for her again. She was supposed to meet him on Third and Racine St. but she was nowhere to be found. He felt panic wash over him as he thought the worst. Pushing the thought out of his mind he began to run towards the hotel she was at.
He ran for a good five minutes at full speed until he saw the building across the street. He inspected the entrance and the cars around. He noticed one vehicle with a woman inside, clearly apart of the FBI. He swallowed the lump in his throat as he realized that they caught on to where they were located. The place where Sara was last seen.
Michael blended into the crowd as best he could as he made his way through the doors of the hotel. He turned right towards the stairs and ran as fast as he could to their room. He approached the room and stood quietly, pressing his ear to the door. He heard Mahone's muffled voice on the other side along with a secondary more frightened voice. Sara. He thought.
He knew that if he walked in he would be dead in less than a second and quite possibly put Sara in more danger. He backed away from the door slowly and checked the surrounding doors. His eyes caught one door that was slightly ajar. He made his way over to it and listened for any voices. When he didn't hear any, he pushed it open and walked straight to the balcony connected to the room.
He climbed on top of the railing and began walking across the balconies to where Sara was. He gracefully landed on the concrete floor of the balcony next to her room and thankfully they had left the door open. He quietly listened to the conversation taking place. He heard Mahone asking her where he was but she refused to tell him. He risked a glance at her and saw her frame shaking slightly. He saw Mahone place his gun against her head and she looked away. A single tear rolled down her face.

Michael seized his opportunity and threw himself onto Mahone, knocking the gun out of his hand in the process. Sara had jumped out of her seat and grabbed the gun immediately pointing it at Mahone. Before she had the chance to shoot, Michael knocked him out by throwing him onto the table. She stood there with shaking fingers and Michael rushed over to her.
"We have to go." he said gently to her while grabbing a pair of car keys off the floor. She nodded silently and followed him out of the room and down to the car.
They jumped into the car and drove quickly to insure they wouldn't be followed. Michael checked the mirrors consistently to make sure they were safe. Out of the corner of his eye he could still see her shaking and he could hear her breathing in short breaths. He reached his hand over and stilled her hand. "Are you okay?" he asked her while catching a glance at her face.
"He was going to kill me." she replied in a shaky tone. He moved his thumb in circles on her hand in an attempt to calm her. "I won't let anyone hurt you again Sara. I promise." He told her. She closed her eyes tightly and remembered back to when she was being held under the water by Kellerman. The images haunted her. She would be adding 'held at gunpoint' to the list of traumatic experiences she's had been through over the past few weeks.
She focused her thoughts on Michale's hand and relaxed slightly. His presence calmed her and made her feel safe. She was thankful that he showed up when he did. Her eyelids felt heavy so she closed her eyes and laid back in the seat. The small circles he made on her hand lulled her to sleep.

"You know he's not coming back for you. You're just a pawn in his game... used to get exactly what he wants. Do you really want to ruin your life for him? You could have your life back. I can give you whatever your heart desired. All you have to do is tell me where he is." Mahone said to her as she sat on the couch shaking. "I'm telling you, I don't kno–" she was cut off before she could finish. "DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT LYING TO ME!" he yelled at her. He placed the gun on her temple. "I will pull this trigger if you don't tell me where they are." he said angrily. "Im not telling you anything." she said preparing for the worst. Within a second he pulled the trigger making her scream.
"Sara!" He yelled again while shaking her awake. She was sweating and breathing hard as if she just finished a race. She took in her surroundings and saw that they were stopped on the side of the road. She looked at Michael with fear in her eyes, terrified of what could have been the outcome of the actions that had taken place at the hotel. She met his worried gaze and felt his hand on her arm. She felt panicked and on edge and she couldn't breathe. She leaned her head back on the seat and closed her eyes tightly, willing for her nightmare to leave her mind. She felt Michael's arm leave hers and she heard the car door open.
She heard her door open and felt his presence next to her. Michael reached into the car and unbuckled her seat belt before carrying her outside. With her eyes still closed, she felt him hug her tightly and lower both of them to the ground. He sat with his back against the car and her in his arms sitting on his legs. He stroked her hair in an attempt to calm her nerves. "I'm right here." he whispered into her ear. "You're safe here. Just breathe." he instructed.
She nodded into his chest and slowed her breathing down. Her nightmare slowly drifting from her memory as she focused on his arms wrapped tightly around her. She felt him kiss the top of her head. "I'll never let anyone hurt you Sara." he told her again. He would say it for the rest of his life until she believed him. He would keep his promise. She opened her eyes and stared into his. "Thank you." she whispered to him. Her voice was hoarse after screaming in the car. "This will all be over soon." He told her calmly. "Then I'll take you to Baja." he smiled and she chuckled. "Id like that." She said. She soon fell asleep in his arms and he gently placed her back in the car. He kissed her soft lips and began driving once again.

Necromancer's Resolve
Foster Locke's life wasn't the harshest it could have been. But it wasn't the easiest either. Despite losing the last of his family and having immense debt thrown on him, getting the chance to keep practicing Martial Arts pulled away, and having a completely messed up sleep-schedule, he usually tried his best to stay positive to the outside world. Of course, that wasn't always possible, especially not when he was staring into the glowing eyes of a man-eating creature he had never heard of before. The glowing message-box that accompanied it wasn't much better either. Not to mention the fact that he was suddenly in a dark forest instead of the train station. This isn't a story of great anguish, inescapable peril, or heroic world-saving. Rather, it's one of a young man trying to get by in a world that seems to try his best to kill him. I hope you enjoy the read. --- Cover Image temporary [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
