Michael woke up to the smell of food cooking in the other room. Confused, he got up and walked through the bedroom door. With even more confusion, he saw Sara making breakfast in the kitchen. He leaned against the wall and crossed his arms, a smile spreading across his face. He watched her for a good five minutes while she danced around the kitchen mixing and pouring things onto the pan. "Since when do you cook?" he asked in disbelief. He watched her jump slightly at the sound of his voice and she whirled around to meet his gaze.

"I cook all the time!" she said defensively while matching his smile. He laughed and she walked up to him, wrapping her arms around him in a hug. He welcomed her embraced and held her close. "What are you making?" he asked her after a couple minutes.

"Pancakes." she replied into his chest as she still held him close. "Well," he began. "I think your pancakes are burning." he replied. She snapped her head up to him, then over to the stove. Smoke started to fill the air and she rushed over to get them off the heat. He chuckled as he watched her scurrying around.

"How do you mess up pancakes Sara? Pancakes!" he asked with amusement as he walked over to her.

"You distracted me." she complained with a sheepish grin. She scooped the pancake out of the pan and threw it in the trash. Michael peered over and studied the burned pancake. "It's basically black."

"It's not that bad." she countered while pouring more batter into the pan. "No. It's pretty bad." he replied while shaking his head. He felt her hand hit his arm. "Ow!" he said while rubbing his arm. "What was that for?!" he asked her. Her eyes had a mischievous look in them and she smiled again. "That was for making fun of my cooking skills." she replied while turning back to the stove.

"And what cooking skills are these?" he asked her and she whirled around again. He laughed and put his hands up, ready in case she tried to hit him again. She started walking towards him and he backed away towards the kitchen table. She laughed and began chasing him around the apartment. After a few minutes he ended up catching her, holding her arms so she couldn't hit him. She tried to get free but he was too strong for her. She stopped struggling and instead reached up to kiss him. He smiled into the kiss and held her close.

After a few moments he pulled away and looked at her. "Sara?" he asked. She tilted her head and waited for him to continue. "I think your pancakes are burning again." he said with a smile. She turned around and saw more smoke coming from the stove. "SERIOUSLY?!?" she yelled and ran over. He laughed and followed behind her. She threw the pancake away again.

"You were right before." Michael said while inspecting the new burned pancake. "This one is definitely more black than the first." He looked up at her and she hit him again while laughing.

"Okay Mr. Gordon Ramsay. Please show me how you make a pancake." she said to him while sitting herself down at the table. "With pleasure." he replied while scooping more of the mix and placing it on the pan. He eyed them carefully and flipped them at the perfect moment. She watched in disbelief as he set a plate of perfectly made pancakes in front of her. "How?!" she asked him dumbstruck. He laughed and kissed the top of her head.

"Now that is what I call cooking skills." He said while digging in. She rolled her eyes playfully and joined him.
