CLARY
I was sitting in the chair right next to the cool water. It was only about 80º but it felt like 110º with the humidity. I was just about to dose off from the extreme heat when I felt myself being picked up. My eyes shot open and I saw Jace. I smiled but then realized what he was doing. He began to run with me in his arms towards the water. I quickly shifted myself to that I was latched onto Jace.
"You are not getting me wet." I told him with a smile I tried to hide. He tried to thrown me in but my grip held. He smiled at me mischievously. "Oh yeah?" He asked me with a smile. I burried my head into his neck knowing what was coming. Suddenly he took off running and jumped into the water with me. When the cold water hit my skin it sent shivers through my entire body.
I came back up to the surface laughing. Jace was next to me doing the same thing. I swam a little closer to him and he met me half way. I wrapped my arms around him. The sudden warmth made me want more. The water was freezing. I was shivering and he brought me as close to him as possible.
I felt his hand wrap around me and I put my head against his neck. He pulled gently away from me and I pouted in protest. He smiled at me and went under the water. I waited for him to come back up but instead I felt hands grab my feet. I squirmed for a second but then Jace placed my feet on what felt like his shoulders. I was thoroughly confused at what he was doing.
I hadn't realized we were moving closer to shore. Suddenly Jace came up out of the water and I was balancing on his shoulder. He laughed and I was completely out of the water. The heat warmed me immediately.

I felt myself being thrown into the air in an instant. I let out a small scream and then landed into Jace's arms. I opened my eyes that were previously closed. He gave me a smile and a laugh. "Thank you." I said while he started to walk out of the water. He leaned down and gently kissed the top of my head. "Always." He replied against my head.
The sun was starting to go down so we sat around the small fire that was going on shore. Izzy, Alec, Simon, and Magnus had joined us as well.
"Ive got an idea." Izzy began to say. We all went quiet and waited for her to continue. "Anyone up for a game of dare or dare?" She asked with a smirk. We all said yes in unison.... everyone but Jace. "Absolutely not! If you all want to play go right ahead, but I am out!" He told us. I laughed and took his hand in mine. "Please?" I asked with the saddest eyes anyone could see. I heard him inhale deeply in thought. After a few moments he spoke. "Fine! But only one round. Then I'm out." He said. I smiled at him and we began to play.
"Clary you start." Izzy told me. "Alright." I said with a smile. "Alec. Dare or dare?" I asked him. We all laughed at the weird voice I made. "Dare." He said with a joking role of his eyes. I got up and walked towards him. I whispered something into his ear and he nodded with a smile. "You're mean. But I like it." He said to me. I laughed. "What?" Izzy asked.
"You will soon see." I told her. "Alright Alec. You're turn." Izzy said. He thought for a moment. "Magnus. I dare you to take off all your jewelry and keep it off all day tomorrow." He replied with a smirk. He felt proud of himself for thinking of a great one. "Alexander." He said angrily. His anger though soon subsided to a smile.

We all played a few more rounds together. We laughed and joked around. We made each other look stupid. It was amazing. It had come back to Jace and he was having a hard time thinking. Alec had left for a moment to grab a drink from inside the beach house. "I have no idea what to do." Jace said to us. He continued to think.
Suddenly we all heard a small noise. It was a small quacking sound. Jace was in to much thought to notice. We all kept from laughing. Immediately the quacking got louder right next to Jace. He jumped up and ran across the beach away from his chair. I was laughing so hard. "Nice going Alec!" I said to him while crying from laughing. Alec couldnt even talk he was laughing so hard.
"What the hell, Alec?!?" Jace said to him. "What? It was my dare at the beginning of the game!" He said and laughed even harder. Jace turned to look at me. "Not cool Clary. Not cool." He said, but even he couldnt keep from smiling.
We continued to play the game till it was almost morning. We laughed and joked. We even made more duck noises just to see Jace freak out. It was the best night we all had had in a long time. There was no war. There was only us, enjoying the moments we got with each other.
