Tamaki thought nervously as him and his boss sat in her office to create a digital flyer. It was about 9 at night, the shop closing a couple of hours ago. But Tamaki and y/n stayed behind to work on making flyers to post around town.
"Hmmmm...How does this look?" Y/n rolled back in hervdesk chair, allowing Tamaki to get a clear view of the poster. "I-I like it." He muttered.
"So do I!" She beamed, stretching her arms over her head. "Man, that took a lot longer than I thought, but I'm glad we finished it together!" She turned to Tamaki, holding up a fist.
Tamaki felt his cheeks flush. He slowly held up his right hand, forming a weak fist. Y/n bumped her hand into his. "We make a great team!"
Tamaki stared into her twinkling eyes, her giving a warm smile. To think this is the same y/n from high school...
"Well, since we're finished, we can finally head home!" She stood up from her chair, turning off her desktop. "I'll print these tomorrow at the printer shop....100 copies?"
"Uhm-Yeah, that sounds like enough." Tamaki agreed, standing up with her. They exited her office and out into the main room of the shop.
They suddenly stopped, a barricade of snow blocking the entrance of the shop. "...What the heck?" Y/n mumbled.
Suddenly, Tamaki and y/n's phone buzzed loudly. Y/n turned to Tamaki as he took out his phone, reading a message alert. "...A snowstorm has passed through Musutafu...please keep inside."
"They're a little late with that warning." Y/n sighed, staring out into the street as wind blew loudly and hail fell from the sky. "...Welp...you hungry?" She asked, slipping off her coat and throwing it onto a nearby chair.
"H-Hungry?"
"Yeah! It seems we're gonna be stuck here, so may as well have some dinner! We are in a coffee shop." She winked, walking behind the counter and putting on an apron.
Tamaki blinked as he watched y/n open the mini fridge, taking out a few ingredients to cook. ...Y/n and I...are snowed in!??!

Tamaki frantically looked around. No. This can't be happening!...There's gotta be a way out-
"Would you like some sake to drink with your food?" Y/n turned to him, holding up a small green bottle of alcohol. Tamaki jumped at the sound of her voice, him snapping my out of his thoughts. "...You are 20, right? I wouldn't want you drinking underage."
"Y-Yes! I'm 20!" Tamaki stuttered, making y/n giggle. "You seem nervous. Do you not like snowstorms?"
"I-Uhm-It's not th-that!!"
Y/n titled her head as she noticed Tamaki's blushing cheeks. "Oh, okay...Dinner will be done in 20!" She turned back to the stove as she flipped some meat in a pan.
Tamaki let out a long sigh. I'm stuck.
The two friends chuckled drunkly over their food, their faces hot and red. They had been drinking for almost 3 hours now, and it turns out,
they were both light weights.
"H-Hey, y/n. You aren't that b-bad." Tamaki muttered tiredly, poking at his dinner plate with chopsticks.
"Was I and before?" She giggled.
"...I have a question."
"Shoot!" She held up her fingers to form a finger gun, making a small popping sound with her lips.
"...Why did you...you try so hard to be friends with me in high school?" Tamaki asked, trying to swallow down the drunkness in his system, focusing his full attention to her. A question that I've had for years now.
Y/n turned in her seat to face Tamaki, scratching the back of her head. "Well, you were my only friend!" She replied drunkly, her eyes fluttering open.
"But you were so popular...you were friends with everyone."
"Ohhhhh that's where you're wrong!" Y/n swerved her finger around, booping the tip of Tamaki's nose. "My friends haaaaated meeee...but they kept it from me. You were the only person who just sat and listened when I needed to talk to someone! If anything...you were the bestest-est friend I ever had!"
Tamaki felt his stomach churn. I was...her only friend?

"What do you mean your friends hated you?"
"Uhhhghhhh...Lemme think...they acted super nice to me up front, but then talked crap about me behind my back. But I didn't wanna say anything because I didn't wanna be a loner, ya know?"
Tamaki felt a wave of guilt take over him. "...I...I had no clue."
Y/n's drunk smile turned into a frown, her lightly tilting her head. "You sound so sad about it. It's not like you knew."
Tamaki pursed his lips. "...Can I be honest?"
"Honest? Yeah, yeah!"
"Um...You...um...
sort of annoyed me in high school."
Y/n felt her heart drop. Tamaki waited for a response, but she just stared at him quietly. Her eyes suddenly flooded out tears, her face stiff as a board. Tamaki started to panic. "Y-Y/n!?"
Not only was y/n a lightweight...
but she was abnormally emotional.
"I annoyed you too?" She whispered, her eyes shifted down to the floor.
"N-No-Well, yes, but-"
"I'm sorry." She muttered.
"R-Really, it's not your fault! You were just so outgoing, and I was so...not outgoing! And-"
"I relied on you to listen to my problems...but you didn't even wanna hear it."
Tamaki hitched as he watched her tears fall down her face. He stared down at his lap. "...But that was a few years ago."
Y/n gazed up at him, her vision blurry. "I-I felt guilty working for you...because you didn't know how I used to feel about you...but...If I felt the same way now....I...I wouldn't be here right now!"
Y/n's eyes widened, her shoulders relaxing. "So, uhm...please stop crying! I don't...I don't like to see you sad." Tamaki uttered quietly, scratching the back of his ear.
Y/n stared at Tamaki a little longer before standing up from her chair, her feet planting into the ground. Tamaki glanced up as he watched her walk towards the stairs of the shop to the loft. "Y-Y/n?"
"I'm tiiiiiirrrreeeeed. Aren't you?" She slurred, the sound of her drunkenness returning. "Come on! Follow me!"
Tamaki blinked in confusion before following her lead, walking up the stairs behind her. She walked over to a couch, pulling out the cushions. She pulled something from underneath, a pull out bed being revealed.
Tamaki raised an eyebrow. "A bed?" He asked as she watched her throw on pillows and a blanket. "I often work late at the shop and don't have the strength to make it back to my apartment, so I bought this!" She explained, displaying the couch excitedly.
Y/n jumped onto the bed, her face landing on the pillow. "Come on." She patted the mattress next to her. Tamaki's cheeks turned a deep red. "W-Huh!?"
"You're tired right? We won't be getting out of here till the snow melts...may as well...go to bed." She yawned.
"I-I'm not gonna sleep in the bed with you! You can sleep there, I'll sleep...on the couch in the break room!"
"Don't be ridiculous. That couch is barely big enough to fit a German Shepherd! Just sleep here." She insisted, scooting in the bed to give him more room.
"Y-Y/n-"
"Come on. Sit sit." She patted the mattress again.
"But-"
"No arguments!" She placed the blanket over her legs and body, snuggling under the comforter. Tamaki bit the inside of his cheek. "...Okay." He whispered, climbing in the bed next to her.
He rested his head silently on the pillow, bringing the blanket over his shoulder. He faced his back to y/n, his body shivering nervously. I'm...sharing a bed with a woman...What has my life come too?
"Ama...jiki?"
Tamaki let out a quiet yelp. "Y-Yes y/n?"
"...Sorry for bothering you in high school. I should've asked you if it was okay to talk to you."
Tamaki hitched. "Y/n-" He turned in the bed, but noticed her peacefully passed out, her lightly snoring.
"...You...You don't have to say sorry."

First RE:Guards
Status: Never to return again in this form (But the characters shall appear in a rewrite) I used to be a fire fighter. The requirements were easy enough with today's technology. Machines did the heavy lifting. Artificial intelligences put together action plans with the greatest resolution possible. Most days were simple jobs, first aid on minor fires, cats stuck in pipes too fine for machines, or when alarms went off that normal security scans couldn't eliminate. Most of the time our only skill was being willing to go into dangerous areas and follow orders, only I died running into the latest in biological terror. A beast that spawned fire. I remember the pain, it overwhelmed everything. Now I've woken in a new sort of existence. One where the only creature to view is a little girl, and she needs my help. Isabella Brand. Izzy, my one light in world of darkness and pain. She has the makings of a mage in her world and I'm going to be her spirit animal.

When everything turns into a zero sum game of dog eat dog, they'll find that The Hunter is an all too willing participant, but he will soon find out that he isn't the only player of this game. First story I'm posting and I don't really have a cool synopsis, sorry everyone, but this story is just another LitRPG apocalypse. I guess the only difference is that the main character isn't a hero. He's not here to save the world, he's not here to make friends, and he's definitely not here to save everyone. He's probably what the villains in other similar stories would be actually. Just writing for fun, advice or constructive critism is welcomed, writing style prone to change. Warning: Incredible amounts of poor grammar, Gore, Profanities, Traumatizing content, and cliches(I plan to have multiple main characters, maybe this is too ambitious for my poor skills, but it seems like it would be fun to try, the other MCs won't show up until later on.) The cover image isn't mine I just found it online. It's a piece by Stephanie Frey This takes inspiration from a lot of great stories on here, but I find the beginning to be most similar to Blood Lust by DefinitelyNotJormlung. Starcraft and Warhammer 40k and survival world rpg by S_Conary will also influenced this (at least that's my plan if I ever get that far or finish this) Also please stay with me until chapter 3. I suck at starting stories, but have been told I get better as I'm further along.
