NEW YEAR'S EVE

A lot had changed in the following months. Shancai and Ah Si were enjoying their married life. They were currently in London, enjoying the rest of their honeymoon. They cherished every day they were together and they couldn't be happier.

Lei was currently in London, doing some business for his family as well as vacationing. He was accompanied by his girlfriend of 5 months, Sang Tian. Lei had met her at an ice-skating expo with his family and Sang Tian was one of the featured figure skaters.

Ximen and Xiaoyou were still happily dating and Ximen doted on her. He became more carefree and spent most of his time with Xiaoyou. It's funny how much he berated Ah Si for being so lovestruck when he was in the same situation with Xiaoyou.

Qinghe finally moved on from Shancai and was also helping out with Ximen and Meizuo's tea business with the help of his girlfriend, Li Zhen.

Xiaozi decided to travel the world for a while and she never thought she would meet her soulmate along the way. She and her boyfriend Thomas have been happily dating for the past 3 months now.

Jing has been actively helping in charities in South Africa that involves improving the education of out of school youth. She was happy there and occasionally visits Lei and the F4.

Sooyeon and Tyler got married 2 weeks after Shancai and Ah Si and were now expecting a baby due in a few weeks.

Everyone's lives have been peaceful except for one particular person.

Meizuo.

He and Ximen have been happily working on their business venture in relation to Ah Si's project which has tremendously helped the Daoming group back on its feet. He works himself to the bone and does his best to keep a happy face but deep down inside, he longs for Shuijing.

No one knows where she was but Meizuo had a feeling that Jing and Sooyeon knew but kept to themselves because they knew that their little sister didn't want to be bothered.

Still, it didn't stop Meizuo from hoping that she would come back one day. He still keeps the ring he gave her on a chain around his neck, keeping it close to his heart. He respected her decision but couldn't hold himself back from missing her.

"I'll wait for you Shui, no matter how long it takes." Meizuo whispers to himself, kissing the ring as he watches the meteor shower through the window of his house.

A month later

It was February. The month of love and unfortunately cold weather. Ah Si had planned a reunion party for all of them to get together again. He invited Xiaoyou, Ximen, Lei, Meizuo, Li Zhen, Qinghe, Xiaozi, and Thomas.

The restaurant that Ah Si booked was closed for today because he wanted them to have privacy.

Lei arrived last.

"Lei! You're late!" Ah Si yelled, hugging his friend.

"Sorry." He said before looking behind him and holding his hand out. Behind him was a girl with long brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black long-sleeve button-up shirt tucked into a black flowy leather skirt and a pair of white floral strap heels.

"Guys, this is Sang Tian. My girlfriend." Lei introduced the girl who shyly waved and smiled at the group. Lei led her to sit beside Shancai and Xiaozi, asking the shy girl multiple questions about how they had Lei and her had met and other stuff that Xiaozi mostly wanted to ask. Sang Tian did her best to answer as Xiaozi asked one question after another.

They were all having fun when Lei noticed Meizuo looking a bit sad.

"You okay?" He asked and Meizuo smiled.

"Yeah. I'm okay." He answered Lei.

"You miss her don't you?" Lei said and Meizuo nodded.

"Everyday. I just wish I could see her and tell her-"

"Tell me what Meizuo?"

Meizuo whipped around in shock as he turned towards the door.

There stood a girl with long dark brown hair that reached her mid-back. She was wearing a white knit shirt under a blue jean jacket with a red plaid A-line skirt black thigh-high socks and white Doc Martens.

"Well, what are you gonna tell me-OOP!" The girl was cut off when Meizuo tightly hugged her.

"I missed you ." Meizuo said as he continued hugging the girl who was hugging him back.

"I missed you too Zuo. But can you let me go so I can hug the rest of my friends?" She asked as Meizuo pulled away and let her hug the rest of F4 and the other people in the room. She introduced herself to Sang Tian who greeted back warmly. Shuijing gave Lei a knowing look and smiled at the two.

After a long lecture from Ah Si about Shuijing not allowed to leave again, the party carried on for the rest of the day with Meizuo grinning from ear to ear, not letting go of Shuijing.

"Where were you?" Meizuo asked, Shuijing still in his arms.

The party had ended an hour ago and the two were currently in Shui's old house. They talked and talked and now they were just holding each other in the living room.

"Just here and there. I stayed in London for a while." Shuijing answered and Meizuo grew confused.

"London? So did Lei knew where you were?" Meizuo asked and Shuijing nodded.

"Yeah. I asked him not to tell you because I wanted to see how you would react seeing me." Shuijing teased and Meizuo hugged her tighter.

"Don't leave again Shui okay? I won't be able to take it." Meizuo pleaded as he hugged her. Shuijing nodded and lightly caressed Meizuo's hair.

"Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere Zuo." Shuijing promised and Meizuo pulled away.

"Good. Because I plan to make you stay for a long time." Meizuo said as he pulled out a chain from underneath his shirt, showing Shuijing the ring he gave her.

"Zuo?" She asked as Meizuo held her hand, kissing it tenderly.

"Shui, you told me that if I ever met a woman that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, to go for it. Well here I am, the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with is right in front of me." Meizuo said, holding Shuijing's hand.

"Shui, I love you and I know I'm late because you've loved me for 15 years. I'm sorry that it had to take me seeing you with another guy to make me realize how much I love you. But I promise that I'll love only you in this life and the next. So Tengtang Shuijing or Jung Soojung, will you marry me?" Meizuo asked with tears in his eyes and Shuijing nodded, crying.

Meizuo smiled as he slid the ring onto her finger before Shuijing pulled him into a sweet kiss.

They got married 2 months after that and Shuijing never felt so happy and loved in her life. She was married to her best friend and the man she loved for years. Her families were at peace and happy. Her friends were all successful and lived happily.

As she sat beside her husband on the patio steps, she suddenly asked him something.

"Hey Zuo, do you know what Hiraeth means?" She asked her husband who shook his head.

"It's a Welsh word that means a longing for a home you can't return to, or one that was never yours. not necessarily a house, but a homely feeling such as love. I used to feel like that when I was younger but not anymore. I found my home. With you." Shuijing answered and stared at her husband lovingly.

"And you're my home Shui. You and this little one." Meizuo answered as he caressed Shuijing's belly.

"We can't wait to meet you, little one. You are going to be spoiled to the bone and you are not allowed to get a boyfriend until you're 50." Meizuo joked as Shuijing hit his shoulder.

"That's too much Zuo. I dated you when I was 23." She pointed out and Meizuo just shrugged and kissed his wife lovingly.

Shuijing smiled into the kiss as her husband pulled away and hugged her.

This was her home. And it will forever be her home.
