《Daughters of an Unwanting Diamond - tsundere885》◈ 15 ◈

Weeks turned to months. Due to gemlings' fast growth, three months was like three years, and they developed (started to roll over, crawl, etc.) at random. Gemling growth was sporadic, but somehow, it worked. They'd grow based on literal years after they turned five months. All the gemlings were now three months old and acted like human three-year olds. Verna was like an average, happy, human toddler, with some of her speech being words and the rest of it being babbles or giggles.
Her twin, on the other hand, spoke like a six year old, but had quite a few tantrums that made everyone around her cry against their will. It wasn't the worst, but it certainly wasn't the best, either.
Iris was a loner, in the highest amounts. She loved playing alone, and all she did was take naps.
"VERNA! NO!"
And they were at it again. Yet another situation where Eden didn't want to play, but Verna did. "MAMA!" Among the children, Blue Diamond was "mama," and Yellow Diamond was "mommy." Blue, carrying Iris in one arm, sought to break up the twins' fight. Tears flowed from her eyes from being around Eden.
"Girls, knock it off. Tell me what the problem is." "I don't want to play with Verna!" "But I wanna play wiff sissy!" Blue crouched down. "Verna, sweetie, look at me." She cupped her daughter's tear-stained face. "If she doesn't want to play, don't force her." "But who I gonna pway wiff?" "You can have just as much fun playing alone, I'm sure."
"Iris?" She poked Iris's shoulder. The smaller toddler turned her head. "You wanna play wiff me?" She only shook her head, then turned back around, clutching tighter onto her mother's shoulder. Verna only wept, "No one wants to play wiff me.." "Maybe they don't want to play, right now, darling. Maybe they'll play later, alright?" "Okay.."

Between either of the twins, Verna was easiest to deal with. Eden, however, definitely used her tears to her own advantage. Iris, honestly, didn't care about what anyone wanted to do; she'd always do her own thing, like sleep.
Blue walked out of the girls' room and found Yellow where she'd always be. She kissed her cheek. "Hello, darling." "Hello, to you, too. Was Eden making a fuss?" "Yes; she wanted a playmate, but I took care of it." Iris turned her head and saw Yellow. "Mommy.."
Blue placed her in Yellow's lap. "Hello, to you, dear," Yellow said, smiling at her. "Poor thing was probably annoyed that the twins were being so loud. I know how much she loves peace and quiet." "Indeed, she does."
The two Diamonds were indescribably grateful for their little ones, despite the bumps in the road that would appear every so often. It was part of being a parent. Now, more than ever, they knew what love was and what it meant, and they couldn't be any happier.

People are less forgiving and more critical to published writers, it seems. I'll post whenever my mental health allows. Hope everyone understands.
