Blue Diamond only stared at her, mouth agape.

"Well," Yellow said, with a deadly stare. "Don't you? Don't you think I should be one of the first gems you told?" Yellow crossed her arms. "Answer me, Blue."

"I only said nothing about it, because I assumed you wouldn't care."

Yellow scoffed. "You're delusional! Of course I'd care! I care right now!"

"Well, isn't that a wonder?!" Blue Diamond responded, loudly and sarcastically. "Because the way you treat me does not at all say, 'I care about you.' I need to ask you to do things that you'd do on your own if you cared!"

"This is about them, not just you and me, Blue!"

Blue inhaled sharply, mouth agape. "You bumbling idiot!"

Both pearls froze. The last thing they needed to see was their Diamonds fighting.

"Of course I know that! I'm the one carrying them."

"I'm well aware, Blue. Speaking of which, you certainly aren't sounding like someone fit to raise gemlings, now are you?"

"Oh, you're one to talk! Are you even going to raise these gemlings? And even if you are, will you do it well? Because at the moment, it sounds like a resounding 'no' is the answer to both of those questions."

"I do believe I've heard enough from you for the time being!"

"Good; I've been waiting for the moment you leave this room!" She sighed, "I really need to get a door for this room so it can hit you each time you leave."

"Oh, how mature."

Yellow left the room, her Pearl following in suit. Blue leaned back in her chair, grabbing her forehead like she had a headache. To be fair, what had just gone down was sure induce a headache.

"Pearl."

Blue Pearl jumped at the sound of her name.

"My Diamond?"

"Allow me to rant. Don't even bother responding. You know I'll go on anyway."

Blue was the timid Diamond out of the four that existed, but hell, she could rant to the point where you'll wish you didn't have ears. And oh, did her Pearl want to poof herself just for the sake of reforming without ears.

Meanwhile, Yellow Diamond sat in her own room, with her arms crossed. Normally, any gem would look at her and think she was just going on about her business, thinking about how trash the earth was. But really...to put it simply, she was pissed. For stars' sakes, she honestly wouldn't care if Pink or, hell, even White talked to her like that, but Blue. Of any gem.

I've reached the end of my rope, she thought. However, someone's rubbed off on her. Who would've thought that she gets like Pink when she's that upset.

Comparing the living to, what they used to think, was the deceased. Blue had driven her crazy and not in the good way.

"Well. I might as well keel over and shatter," Blue said, rolling eyes. She hugged herself, knowing she was a mess. Never had she acted like...like...

Pink, she thought.

Yes, she knew she was still alive. Just...in a different way. And...this new version of Pink did not act like Pink. Sure, this version drove the ship like Pink used to, but that was only a smidge of what Blue missed so very much. This Pink was mature.

Pink wasn't arrogant like Yellow, nor was she mysterious to the point of being horrifying like White. She was like a child. The only one that didn't want to follow rules. Blue humored it. When she acted up, she'd think, "Stars, what's she got herself into now?"

Yellow would always get annoyed by her, and Blue remembered each and every time she'd have to go sort it out by talking to Pink calmly. Though, apparently, it was impossible to get Pink to listen.

You couldn't scold her. You couldn't punish her. You couldn't hurt her. She had this mentality, where she constantly thought that nothing would stop her, that this was a routine, like, "I 'perform' like normal, then they scold me, though I'm their equal."

Perhaps that's why. She didn't want me mothering her, she didn't want Yellow dictating her, and she didn't want White acting as if she didn't exist. That probably made her want to rebel even more.

Blue shut her eyes, her face going numb, making it so she didn't feel the large tears run down her face.

I don't want Pink. I want Pink.
