《~danganronpa chatfic~》Chapter 48

Me and Celeste were sitting at a small table in the corner of the music venue. And I was totally pissed off.
"I would like my money now" Celeste held out her well-manicured hand.
I sneered and took out some money and gave it to her, "Here."
"Also you're terrible at cards" She smirked
"You little-"
"Hello there!" I looked behind me and saw Sonia there. Her blonde hair was tied into a low ponytail, but besides that she looked the same.
"Um hi? Do you need something?" I asked.
"Not really. I am simply being polite" She smiled.
"....okay" I said.
3, 2, 1
"Although I do have a question" she added.
knew it.
"What is it?" Celeste asked.
"Whats Genocider Jill like?" she asked with sparkles in her eyes. Ah right. She likes learning about murderers and stuff.
"Scary? I guess. She's still obsessing over me" I said.
"Has she ever tried to kill you?" Sonia sat down with me and Celeste.
"Once. She tried to stab my throat but I ran off" I replied.
"How did you run away from a serial killer? I would think she would be able to catch you" Sonia questioned.
I rolled my eyes, "She might've gone easy on me due to her having an insane crush on me"
"Well you're dating Makoto now so maybe she'll leave you alone" Celeste pointed out.
"Although that would make Makoto a bigger risk of dying from Jill" Sonia said.
"...I mean yeah I guess but he won't die" I said.
"Is it because he's very lucky?" Sonia tilted her head.
"yeah" I shrugged.
"Wanna learn about some facts about serial killers?" Sonia smiled.
I leaned away, "Eh no"
"No thank you" Celeste said.

"OKAY so! Jeffery Dahmer possibly gave people in his apartment sandwiches that were made from his victims flesh"
_______________________________________________
Sonia spent an hour talking about serial killers and facts about them. The good thing is, I managed to leave saying that I needed to find Makoto. That wasn't a total lie. I haven't seen him in a few hours. He's probably hanging around with someone.
I walked around the 2nd island. Goddd this place is so big. I hate walking also so this sucks.
I stopped in my tracks when I saw....well me.
"ah hello ultimate imposter" I crossed my arms and glared.
The person also crossed their arms, mimicking my movement, "Hello there. This is quite awkward"
Ultimate imposter. Aka. the person who caused the downfall of the Togami Corporation.
"You couldn't have dressed up as anyone else?" I asked.
They shrugged, "You're very easy to mimic"
"Whats that supposed to mean-"
"That you're very easy to mimic" they pushed up their glasses.
I glared again, "Take that costume off"
"Hm no. I don't think I will"
"Ugh you're annoying"
"You do realize that my personality is mimicking yours. Right? I'm basically acting like you. You peasant" they smirked.
My jaw dropped. The audacity of this person! How dare they do this. "No one calls me a peasant." I sneered.
"I just did" they said.
I stormed off and went over to that library. I need to read to calm down.

I went into the library and raised an eyebrow.
My god this place was amazing-
the first floor had a few statues of Usami. There were multiple rectangular wooden tables that had a few chairs. There were a few half-oval windows. There was a globe nearby and the walls were filled with books. The 2nd floor also had walls filled with books and had a pretty chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

"Hmph. Why is their library better than the one at Hopes Peak?" I grumbled.
"Because it's better!"
I jumped a bit and saw Akane and Nekomaru hanging out behind a pillar.
"Ugh. What are you two doing here? I wouldn't expect you guys to be here" I said.
Akane grinned as she crossed her arms, "me and Nekomaru are waiting for our friends. Were gonna race from here to the diner!" she said.
"YES WE ARE AND I'M GONNA WIN" Nekomaru yelled.
I put my hand on my ear to see if it is still working correctly. God he yells very loudly.
"Well...you guys have fun with that" I said.
"Oh and Naegi-san is hanging out at the diner with Nagito and Hajime" Akane added.
oh thats where he is.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yep! I know you two are like ~dating~ so I decided to tell you" she smirked.
I glared, "Well thank you. I think. Tell him that I'm here, reading."
"Oh I will Togami-kun" Akane snickered.
I blinked. How dare she.
Ok little lesson on Japanese honorifics. "san" is an honorific that is usually the default one. It usually means "mr" or "mrs". It could technically be used for anyone. So Owari-kun basically called Makoto "Mr. Naegi" or something like that.
Calling people without honorifics is only used between family members and close friends. So Owari-kun is very close friends with Komaeda and Hinata. Or some are just too lazy.
"Kun" usually is used by people who outrank other people. For example, a boss maybe call their employee "name-kun". Basically a superior will call the inferior, "name-kun". As long as you outrank the person, calling another person "name-kun" is fine.
BUT, the fact that this girl called me "Togami-kun" means that she believes that she outranks me. Like, how dare she? I am clearly superior.
Anyways thats the end in the lesson. Hope you learned something.
"idiot" I glared and went over to a bookshelf. I picked out a random mystery book, plopped down on the table and started reading.

It's been around 20 minutes and I've been reading this VERY stupid mystery book. I could see the plot twists coming a mile away.
The door opened and I looked up to find Makoto. When he saw me, his face broke into a grin, "Heya Byakuya!" he ran over to me and sat down.
"Hey Makoto. I heard from Owari that you were hanging out with Komaeda and Hinata" I said.
"Oh yeah I was! Their pretty nice. I also heard from Akane that you were reading in the library and uhm...her words not mine, 'being an asshole" he made air quotes.
I fake-gasped, "whattt"
he laughed a bit, "Ok but seriously, what did you do?" he asked.
"nothing" I scoffed.
"uh huh" Makoto crossed his arms and stared at me.
I stared back.
"I just called her an idiot" I said.
"Byakuya!"
"what- I call people idiots all the time" I said.
"Yeah but you really gotta stop doing that. You have to be nicer" he nudged me.
I rolled my eyes, "Fine, fine. No promises though" I said.
he smiled a bit, "so what are you reading?"
"A bad mystery book"
"Maybe one of us should write a book about the killing game we went through" Makoto suggested.
"Ehhh maybe not a book. Probably a game" I said.
"Well it would be a best seller"
"only mentally unstable people would play that" I scoffed.
.....
I stared at the floor.
It was a nice floor
Edit: floor joke haha

Guerdon
The sheer vastness of the planes of reality meant that if a combination of laws is stable enough, then it probably exists. The protagonist encounters one such stranger than fiction world that he has a hard time wrapping his head around. He is left alone in an Alien Reality. To him survival isn't the most important after all that he had been through, but he refuses defeat in his pursuit to understand the strange reality he finds himself in. Join this journey of his new story in finding out the answers and secrets of this world. I like this Genre to put it bluntly but I've always found that illogical 'Science' and flawed laws of the world, typical in these stories. So, I've decided to fix that. I have tried my best to make weirdness make sense in this World filled with Magic. Short of simulating them to verify, the laws of this new world should make some reasonable sense and will be consistent (As much as I humanely can keep it that way). This might mean my story might vary in it's progression speed but as a compensation, I promise to have a lot more sensible Cliffhangers if I must put them in. Also, I'm not a big fan of over using vocabulary when telling a story. So, My Language will be very unsophisticated. Hope that's not a putoff. So, Enjoy your reading!
