The cold, sharp light from the bright light shined upon the plain white sheets on top of the bodies. Dey glanced around the room and put on a facemask. Across the room, a plump man sat in front of a dissection table, even with his fat, gloved fingers, he was still able to play around with a small surgery knife like a fidget.
“Dr Candy?” Dey cleared her throat and spoke up.
Dr Candy swung around his chair and faced Dey, “Your big brother sent you here to beat me up?”. As he chuckled, he put down the surgery knife and took off his gloves.
“Dr Candy,” stated Dey, “I am now fully in charge of this case.”
Dr Candy took off his glasses and rubbed against his sleeve, “expected. Right, let me show you what I’ve got.” He stood up and walked towards the white sheets. Swiftly, he removed the first one, which showed a metal case with a few dents, “This is that annoying black box that I’m having trouble with. In theory, given that it is almost perfectly intact, it is impossible for any weird results, but, well, we have an interesting god.”
“Can you send me your results?” asked Dey.
“Sure,” Candy took out a notepad from his pocket and wrote on it, “just to make sure, I am going to examine it again later today. The helicopter’s bits will be in vehicles department, you can check those out later, but I’ve already got the photos of key components.”
“Thank you,” Dey smiled, she turned to the other 3 sheet covered bodies, “these…are the crews right?”
Candy nodded, “Yes, unfortunate young men. Nothing special about those two near the corner, but this one next to you is probably the most unfortunate.”

“Why?”
Silently Candy lifted the sheet, and the body of the crew was exposed. In the middle of his chest was a gigantic hole which shattered ribcage could be seen. Dey took a deep breath at the horrific sight, “What’s the cause of this wound?”
Candy pointed at a long, broken pipe beside the body, “He is the pilot, as it appeared when the helicopter crashed, this pipe penetrated right through the cockpit and pierced him right through.”
“The tip looks quite sharp to me,” claimed Dey, “any clue on where this pipe may come from?”
“Well,” Candy replied, “remember that place used to be a chemical research lab? There were plenty of pipes like this around the area, but you are right, when we found the body, this pipe was detached from its original place, probably ripped off by the force.”
“Anything else that’s worth mention,” Dey blinked quickly as she memorized the information.
“Nothing particular for me to mention personally, but all the data will send to you on the portal.”
“Anyway,” Dey smiled gratefully, “thank you very much, Dr Candy, if you have any further discoveries, please inform me.”
Tann entered Alucard’s Firearms with her big carryon bag. Unlike last time, a few other customers were awaiting near the counter. Instantly, Tann’s nose was filled with the strong smell of weed which made her cough rapidly.
“There she is!” Stan pointed at Tann which caused the other customers to turn their heads, “She’s the kid who asked to buy an AK.”
“Quit pretending to be a loudspeaker,” Tann barked, she swung her bag heavily onto the counter as the other customers glanced her curiously.
“Say chick,” asked one man who was wearing a size S shirt to showcase his mussels without going naked, “why do you need an AR when you can’t handle anything bouncy?”

Tann shared him a cold glance.
“Come’ on,” the men laughed, “don’t be so cool, even as policemen can hardly get the chance to handle a full-auto rifle.”
Tann ignored the stranger and presented her Nova, “Stan, can you get this thing cleaned?” Since its last use, the Nova was submerged in the thick fluid from the monster’s body. Stan looked down at the gun that was covered by shades of green grease, “what…where did you use it?”
The other customers, who were already interested by Tann gathered around quickly, “Chick, have you been shooting aliens recently? The night stars are already messed up, but didn’t expect their invasion to come so quickly.”
“Close enough,” Tann muttered to herself, she took out a few crumbly banknotes, “please get this thing cleaned and give me 6 boxes of 20mm titanium core armour-piercing shells, remember I want them in chains.”
“Hold on,” the men who claimed to be the police officer raised his hand, “I am pretty sure you don’t…”
Before he could finish his speech, Tann’s card was right in front of his face, “Happy? Good! Also, Stan, can you suggest a pistol with a larger magazine?”
“Kids nowadays get to play around with some big guns,” Stan smirked at the policeman, then he turned to Tann, “I am pretty sure, you are gonna fire all these shells at once, how about instead of 6 boxes, I connect them all into one long chain so you can fit them into one wooden crate?”
“That will be nice,” said Tann as she bends down to look at the pistols.
“Hey kid,” another man in a motorcycle suit spoke, “I heard you want some badass firepower right?”
“Hell yeah!”
“Right,” the man claimed, “ for your shotgun, why don’t you get some solid slugs? They ain’t good for bird hunting but packs a punch when you are shooting at heavier things.”
Tann looked up, “Really? Stan! Do you have any of those?”
Stan just placed Tann’s Nova in the cleaning machine, he turned around quickly and picked up two shells from his workbench, “Of course!” He laid down the two shells in front of Tann, one of them have a regular solid tip, while another one has thing gaps along its tip, “this one is regular buckshot, but this one…”
“Kid,” the policeman spoke again, “what on Earth are you shooting?”
“I need data on penetration and weapon spread,” Tann answered quickly, “clear enough? Okay, thanks to Stan, carry on, what’s up with that weird shell.”
“This is the expanding shell,” said Stan, he picked up the shell and tried to show how it splits upon impact, “you see, when this thing hits, it expands out, causing a huge wound. Well, how many do you want?”
“I want 40 regular shots and 20 expanding shots.”
