Past few days I've been thinking of ways to escalate the situation with the mercs' arrival, and also relate their reasons to be a part of the main plot of this story.

Regrettably, I've written many versions of chapter #10, but also have scrapped as many. My work has never failed to dissapoint myself.

I wished to spend the rest of my time reflecting on my own unbecomings, and hopefully continue working on the story so that it will be up to my standards.

I apologise for the lack of uploads for the past few days, and apologise in advance for potentially the next few as well.

If the progress and events in the future couldn't relate to the main plot of this story (which I have yet to disclose), then I might consider scrapping or rewrite the entire thing.
