《Star War》Chapter 22

Vori docked Sel’s ship and spent no time looking for a Super TrooperTM costume to wear.
“You’re under arrest-” started a Super TrooperTM before Vori knocked him out using the force. This was no time to take extra precautions. Adala needed saving.
Vori noticed a trend of familiar hallways as she walked through the bigger ship, leading her towards the old meeting room. Vori groaned. This was the last place she wanted to be in. But, if Adala was here, Vori had to go save her.
When Vori opened the door, she saw none other than General Var was sitting on top of a newly polished decorative table and chairs, pulling on the pendant of a tracking device necklace around her neck. Vori let out a frustrated sigh.
“What, you don’t like my interior decorating skills?” said General Var in a mocking voice. “Perhaps I’ll fix it all nice for you. They’re all holograms, after all.” General Var switched the scenery to marble tables and chairs.
“The basic table structures are here, yet I can change what the room looks like,” said Var, smiling evilly. “And check this out.” A replica of General Var appeared besides her. Vori groaned. It was an identical copy.
“Oh but don’t worry. They can’t hurt you. Good luck,” sneered General Var, creating four more holograms of herself. Vori drew Adala’s lightsaber and struck one of the holograms. The lightsaber went straight through it.
“Come on!” complained Vori, slicing through two more of them. General Var tried her hardest to keep a neutral expression, but a small smirk let out. Vori picked up on it and moved in to attack. She swung the lightsaber at General Var, who pushed it aside with her own and struck her backwards with her foot.

“Uhg,” said Vori, stumbling backwards. She attempted to fend off General Var twice before realizing it was another hologram. Without the holograms, General Var would be a weak target. Vori noticed a small panel on the table where General Var had used to control some of the holograms. Vori spun around and kicked a hologram in the chest, and ended up stumbling forwards because of lack of contact. General Var laughed.
“Seems like you’ve been outnumbered,” she giggled, stabbing at Vori. Vori force pushed Var backwards and sprinted for the control panel.
“NO!” yelled General Var as Vori stabbed the lightsaber into the panel. Suddenly the room changed from the elaborate interior decoration to a bland, office-like complexion. “You’re ruining everything!”
“Your problems don’t lie with your technique. You just have a lack of skill,” said Vori smugly, looking Var in the eyes. “Now tell me, where is Adala?” General Var smiled.
“Oh, I can’t tell you that. But I know someone who can. Come,” said General Var, clapping. Suddenly a small figure appeared. The same figure Vori had seen her vision through earlier. “Lada, can you tell your old master where Adala is?” Lada stared at Vori coldly. No thought Vori, not again.
“She’s on our side now,” said Lada, sternly. “The good side.”
“Lada, you’re making a mistake. This isn’t the good side,” started Vori.
“At least they care for me here,” said Lada. “You left me to die in the jedi temple. I had severe internal bleeding. All so you could save Karis.” Vori’s heart ached.
“Lada, it wasn’t like that,” she pleaded.
“It was exactly like that,” said Lada, darkly. Vori felt tears welling up in her eyes. Var had taken everything from her. First Leeta, then her lightsaber, and now her second padawan, Lada.

“The plan is perfect. Turn Adala to the dark side by charming her with a handsome young sith, use Karis as a weapon to destroy the jedi, and use you as a means to train my padawans for me. You practically set it all up for me, Vori. You’re a good teacher, yet you don’t respect your students,” sneered Var. “And after Burai and Adala kill Vaita, who will they look up to as their new leader? Their financial adviser and head of the Super TroopersTM, me.”
“Why, you!” yelled Vori as she leapt at General Var. Suddenly, Vori became force frozen in the air. Vori heard someone clapping their hands.
“Well done,” said General Var, smiling at Vori with her arms crossed. Leeta walked out from behind Vori. “I’ve always wanted to see this day. Look at you. Completely defenseless. It’s three to one, Vori. No matter how much skill you have, you can’t beat the odds.” Vori looked down at the ground. This was it, she thought.
“Well, Leeta, I feel like you should have the honors. Please, kill her,” said General Var. Leeta looked Vori in the eyes. Vori sensed a great sadness going through her.
“Well, isn’t someone going to die here? Go ahead, get it done with!” said General Var, agitated. Leeta took a deep breath in.
“Master, I can’t kill her. Yes, I despise her, but we have so many memories of training. We had such a close bond, I can’t break it here and now. This just isn’t right,” said Leeta.
“Kill her, you weakling,” said Var, gritting her teeth. “That’s it, I don’t need you. Lada-” a red lightsaber stabbed right through General Var’s chest. Leeta looked Vori in the eyes.
“You owe me one,” she said. “Run, while you still have the chance. Never come back.”

A Fate Set in Stone (On Hold)
After dying and making his way into the afterlife, our protagonist happens to have a stroke of good luck. With the help of the substitute god of death, he's given a second shot at life in a world run by gods who probably played too many video games as kids. Monsters, magic, dungeons, bandits, and all that good stuff is there, except it turns out to be much different than Jed initially expected.(I picked some generic tags since this is my first story and I am not 100% sure where it is going to go. Mature warning is only there for some less-than-polite language.)
