《The Otherworldly Treasure Hunt》Chapter 4 - A New Contender Appears

Two people could be seen walking, in the nascent evening downpour.
At least Vic thought it was evening, it could’ve been morning and for all he knew perhaps they didn’t even have normal day cycles over here.
Regardless, here Vic was, still walking with the old man who he knew as Cutt.
“you can just call me Cutt though.” Vic heard him say earlier, when he began to steadily lift himself off the bed all groggy. The sleepiness mixed with the almost unbearable pain causing him blink rapidly and diffuse the urge to shout in frustration.
Vic didn’t have any idea how the shoddily applied bandages covering him could stop him from bleeding for any period of time and he was curious… but he didn’t have time for that though.
“need a hand” the guy offered.
It seemed that the old man had finally gotten bored of watching Vic sit listlessly on the bed and thus Vic tentatively brought his left hand forward to meet Cutt’s ironclad grip. He clamped onto Vic’s wrist and pulling him up with considerable strength, onto his unstable legs.
After a good moment gripping onto the man’s sleeve, Vic immediately set off on a wordless trudge towards his shirt all while trying to supress the sound of chattering teeth that filled the small wooden cabin.
It was obvious that he couldn’t go out into the rain half-naked, so he wore his previously white shirt. The article of clothing had a few buttons left but Vic wasn’t really bothered to button the ones left with his bandaged fingers and just stuck his left arm through the intact sleeve and wrapped the shirt around him to tuck the other ( more destroyed) sleeve under his sling.
It’s not great but it’ll have to do
…that’s at least what he thought but when the spiteful rain picked up again. After which Vic found he felt his rags wouldn’t really get him through that. In the first place he didn’t know how long it would take to get to this ‘healing item’.

Hearing the sudden increase in rain and seeing Vic yet to move, Cutt felt a bit bad.
“you can have my cloak I suppose”
“…” It was all that Vic said to reply as he grabbed the cloth from the old man without hesitation .
Well, he was still glad he took the cloak. Even though it didn’t do much to warm him up, at least it stopped the bandages on his shoulder from getting wet; something he found saved him a lot of pain when he stuck his bandaged hand out into the rain.
Vic was looking down as he walked, he wanted to reduce the water getting into his eyes- you see. Vic supposed he had already begun to trust this complete stranger if he was already walking behind him, eyes down.
He did save my life… I mean I trust him more than I trust myself. What would I do if I was attacked again?
Vic supposed he would lay over and die. He huffed released a peal of white condensate from his mouth. He certainly felt like death.
Vic looked up, so that meant he brought his eyes just in time to see Cutt stop walking right in front of him. For a moment, Vic just looked at the guy's back, wondering, but as he walked forward he realised that the old man was looking at something up ahead.
Vic and Cuttison were walking by a small hill at that point. It wasn’t a green hill, torrential rain had torn at the dirt causing large chunks of the soil to spill outward, it wasn't green. It looked as if the mud collapsed under its own weight making a sort of mud landslide: like a brown tide that swept the blade of grass that could be just barely be seen beneath ruined landscape.
Except there was something other than worms and more dirt under that muddy destruction.
Is that a person?

Triquetra: A Multi-Class Isekai or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Accept the End of the Multiverse
Triquetra: An Multi-Class Isekei Adventure I know, I know, you have heard it all before. Yes I was hit by a truck. Yes I ended up in a Fantastical World suspiciously similar to one of my favorite RPG’s. Yes I had access to cheats no one else possessed. Yes it was a world of classes and levels and magic powers. Finally, yes I was an overweight middle-aged loser failing to live up to my potential. Given my eclectic reading habits I should have been better prepared. Unfortunately I was not. Sure I could multi-class with reduced penalties, but my starting class was Scholar! No combat abilities and very limited spellcasting. My HUD interface costs mana to use, and my universal translation seemed to be outsourced to Giggle Translate. I’m supposed to be an OP MC! Not a slice-o- life struggling to survive in the wilderness. Not to mention the Arch-Magus who summoned me, mistimed everything, I arrived 300 years too late, after the fall of the Empire I was supposed to save. The surviving remnants have devolved into Murder Hobos. What’s worse is that the Great Devourer, Ancient Calamity, and Spawn from the Void Beyond Time, Space, and Sanity is now aware of a new world to plunder, a world called Dirt! (Told you this translator sucks) Warning Extra Crunchy Authorial Vebosity! Lots of infodump in the early chapters, but I learn my lesson and it does get better, eventually. I do not own the Cover image, found it on a free image site.

The Fate Eater
What might a man really do if he found himself reincarnated into a fantasy world as a dragon prince? How would he come to terms with his new nature, his larger-than-life family, the agendas of warring factions, and the destiny he never asked for? This is a story that intends to defy some isekai tropes, but play into others. It's mainly about exploring a rich hand-crafted world, full of its own history and mysteries. Its characters have their own lives and aspirations, and our protagonist is but a piece of the greater tapestry. This story is not about right and wrong, or good and evil. It's about a dragon-man being tested by fate, power, and time. It's about what it's like to live as an outsider who lost their home. But perhaps the most central theme is freedom. What does freedom really mean? What will it cost and how much might one be willing to pay for it? Does it even truly exist? Let's find out together.

The watcher of universe and stuff.
The most devastating thing to an eternal being must be boredom. If nothing can change you, how can you yourself change? Sometimes you have to learn that the hard way. I should point out that there are multiple lead characters and they will all have their own personalities and motivations. While the story will focus more on our MC Trey, you can expect multiple POV switches. If you do not like POV switches, this might not be for you. My first book. If anyone will ever read this, be so kind as to leave a comment. Even, if all you say is an insult. As long as I can improve this work by your comment, it's all fine. One thing’s for sure. I will keep writing as if my reader can handle curse words without curling into a little ball and repeatedly saying: "Leave my safe-space alone, you monster". Therefore, you can expect some profanity.

That Scottish Play
This is a very silly and cringey parody of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The play format will be kept consistent throughout. Unless you enjoy cringing so hard you experience physical pain, I'd suggest avoiding this work. However, as the level of cringe is only slightly less than that of the office, any fans of that show may enjoy this work. (I believe, as a parody, this work is protected from copyright by fair use, additionally, Shakespeare is in the public domain so it doesn't fall under copyright in the first place. If I'm wrong please let me know)
