《Descendants: Lost Auradonian Queen》Family Day

EVIE'S POV:
After the whole incident at the tourney game, Mal and I had spoken to Briar about the whole lying to her thing and managed to somehow gain her forgiveness. We're both determined to not ruin our friendship with her, she had always been an amazing friend to us and I was so happy when she asked me to make her a dress. We sat in mine and Mal's room together currently as I finished sewing, it's family day and Briar is so nervous to meet her parents for the first time since she can remember.
"Hey, Briar!" I called, gaining her attention. "So I finished the dress and found some cute shoes with one of the crowns that I managed to bring to Auradon." She smiled thankfully. "I can't believe you're going to find out today if you really are the lost princess of Auradon all thanks to Mal!" I exclaimed with a grin.
"I still can't believe I let that slip out so quickly, I mean, I can keep a secret but why did I do it?" Mal shrugged with a smile at our friend. "Maybe it was the shock after Ben's love confession? Wow, I really am a disappointment." Mal admitted with a sigh.
Briar stood and walked towards Mal. "You are anything but a disappointment, don't let Maleficent's idiotic words get to you."
Mal shrugged as I held up the dress, presenting it to them. "Well, Briar, what do you think?" I asked as she took it out of my hands and examined it.
"I think it's beautiful." She grinned. "Thank you, Evie, I'm going to go get changed. Mind if I use your bathroom?" She asked.
"No problem, go ahead." I smiled, feeling proud of myself.
BRIAR'S POV: OUTFIT- pinterest.co.uk/phoebenock2/family-b/
I held the fabric of the dress in my hands as I walked into the bathroom and shut the door behind me. Placing the dress carefully on the side of the bath I looked around the darkly coloured room. All I could see was blue, purple, black, and a 'LONG LIVE EVIL' poster.
"Some people really don't change huh?" I giggled. I pulled in the dress and smiled at my reflection in the mirror, slipping on the shoes she had left for me and placing the crown delicately on my head. Evie did my hair and make-up earlier on before finishing the dress. I looked over myself, I looked like a true princess. My parents are surely going to recognize me when they see me.

I took a deep breath before opening the door to the bathroom and walking back into the bedroom. They both turned to me and froze as I stood there. "Damn." Mal grinned, breaking the silence.
"You're gonna be the center of attention today Briar!" Evie complimented as she gave me a hug.
"Thanks." I smiled nervously.
"Don't forget the necklace!" Mal exclaimed suddenly.
"Necklace?" I asked, looking between them.
Evie nodded and took a heart locket out of a small, silk bag. "You came to Auradon with this, we believe your mother gave it to you." She went behind me and placed the cold locket around my neck, clasping it and returning to the front of me. I lifted a hand and held it, memories of my mother giving it to me flushing into my mind as I smiled. "You can use it if they ask for proof."
Tears built up in my eyes as I grabbed Evie in a hug. "Thank you," I muttered into her shoulder as she smiled widely.
"It's fine, it's yours anyway, we're just returning it." She pulled away and held my hands. "Now don't cry, you'll ruin your makeup and it took me forever to do that." She scolded as I laughed.

Just as the song finished Briar and the villain kids were walking down the stone steps towards the garden. Catching Ben's eye as they walked to a table that was full of all different kinds of foods. Mal picked up a strawberry on her way past whilst Carlos handed Dude to Evie and attacked the chocolate fountain along with Jay as Briar watched them with disgust. She didn't dare grab anything as her stomach swam with nerves.
"Briar!" Ben called as he jogged over to her, he smiled as he reached her and took her hand. "Are you ready?" He asked, not waiting for her response before he dragged her over to their parents. She felt her breath catch in her throat as he stopped in front of them. "Mother, father, there is someone I would like you to meet." He said before he moved to the side revealing Briar who waved nervously, mentally panicking as she saw tears build in the Queen's eyes.

"Ah yes, Briar. So Ben said that he thinks you are his sister. Do you have anything to prove it?" Adam asked, trying to seem strong but wanting to run up to this girl who he knew was his little girl just by looking at her.
"Honey look!" Belle pointed to Briar's neck. "She has a locket and if I remember correctly, I gave Briar a locket with roses on it." Briar placed her hand over the locked and mentally thanked Evie and Mal. "Look! It's the same one!" Belle smiled as she approached. "May I see it?" She asked the nervous girl who nodded and struggled to unclasp it, placing it shakily in the Queen's hands. She took a small key which was on a chain from around her neck and used it to open the locket, revealing a family photo of Belle, Adam, Ben, and Briar, standing together. She held back a sob as she grabbed the small girl in a hug. "Oh my dear Briar, you came home!" She exclaimed.
"We looked for you but we couldn't find you, Maleficent and the Isle were hiding you from us. But now the Beast family is a whole!" Adam exclaimed as he joined in on the hug.
Briar felt complete as she hugged her parents, Ben watched from the side with a grin on his face and pulled her into a hug as soon as their parents let go. "Welcome home." He whispered.
"I'm glad to be home." She replied with a smile.

BRIAR'S POV:
I watched from the sidelines as my family played crochet. Mal with Ben after being introduced to our parents, I couldn't force the smile off of my face as I watched my mom and dad talk happily, glancing over at me occasionally. I was so transfixed with watching them that I didn't notice Chad Charming approach me and sat on the bench beside me. "Welcome home, Princess." He smiled as I jumped. "Sorry." He laughed as I playfully glared at him.
"It's good to be home." I smiled at my parents as he watched me.
"You know, we used to date." He joked as I rolled my eyes.
"When we were 3?" I giggled.
"Hey!" He laughed with me. "I was a very charming 3-year-old!"
"I'm sure." I teased as we laughed. "On a serious note though, I kind of do remember you."
He tilted his head curiously at me. "Really? I thought your memory was wiped."
I nodded. "It was, but I used to have dreams when I was on the Isle, about being in Auradon. Fairy Godmother said it was my magic trying to seep through and remind me of who I truly am."
He hummed thoughtfully. "That's smart, so do you remember me?"
"I remember a boy, he had curly blonde hair and we used to spend a lot of time together. When we weren't with my brother. He was my best friend and I remember feeling something I didn't understand." I shrugged.
He looked relieved and smiled. "So, I was wondering, if you would like to go to the coronation with me?"
My heart raced, I placed it on my chest in shock. "W-why is my heart beating so fast?" I whispered as he took my hand in his own, removing it from my chest.
"I think that means you feel the same as I do." He placed my hand over his chest and I felt his heart beating just as fast. "So that makes my next question a lot easier." He took a deep breath. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
I gasped and nodded frantically. "Of course! I would love to!" I pulled him into a hug, feeling as though I was on a high as soon as his arms wrapped around my waist. "I will go to the coronation with you too," I muttered into his shoulder as he chuckled.
Chad said some hurtful things to the villain kids and they now are ready to steal the wand and blow this popsicle stand.
