Yes! What a macho man choice. I swear I would have done the same if I were you. You ditch the tiny pistol and pick up the rifle. You are drooling over it. You are in a mood to kill and there is no going back.
You lift the gun and give it a hug. Then you go towards the door from with the rifle. You still are searching for the exit in spite of having the new rifle. You look at the locked door ahead of you and fire at the door.
The door panels fly away with the impact. You are enjoying it till you sense something strange.
The gun is changing its shape. Before you can use your brain, the gun starts to wrap around your arm. By the time you think you should get rid of it, the gun claps around your arm to your shoulder.
Then only you realize you are in no control of the rifle. The firearm points its nozzle towards you and is preparing for a headshot. You are terrified to see it, but you opt to choose your wits. You know where the cartridge is, so your free arm reaches for it.
You click on the tiny button on your elbow while the trigger is about to get pressed. Thankfully, your finger is faster than the gun. The cartridge clatters on the floor and the rifle doesn’t hurt you.
It just keeps clicking. Firing nothing but air.
When the gun stops doing so, you see some aliens coming towards you from the door which you had just broken. And unlike last time, these aliens look equipped and have suits.
Your eyes fall on the screen of the gun. Some words are displayed there, but you can't make sense out of their alien language. You only know you are in danger because you can see those aliens taking their spots and aiming their guns at you.
Aliens are ready to kill you. You see two buttons near the screen. One button is red, whereas the other is blue. Now make a choice….

Living a Long Life as a Legend
Reincarnating into a game-like version of a medieval magical world was fine and all. A good blend of two enjoyable tropes. Lock wished he'd been born with a bunch of cheats sometimes, sure, but he could settle with being functionally immortal by abusing the system as well. All rights to the art belong to Stefan Koidl, you can find his works here

Fair warning to all of you; I am not perfect, in fact i'm not even that good when it comes to writing. I do it mainly because I enjoy it, I always love writing stories and sometimes I will post it like I will with this one. My grammar could be better and my writing skills are so and so. I hope that by continuing to write I will grow as a writter so I would really appreciate it if you could point out my mistakes so that I can learn from them. This story will be pretty laid back as I suck at action, but that doesn't mean I won't try to add any. Release schedule is 2-4 chapters a month with each chapter about 1000 words give or take.
