《Bound in the Dark》Lies Revealed

Illumes POV:
I'm glad that I can finally settle this. For the longest time, I've had this weird vibe whenever I was around The Angel ever since we met in that alley. There was always something unexplained, something unsettling. There's something about him that just isn't right. Though I'll say one thing, I let my guard easily down around him. Maybe it was because he's related to me in a way. I guess I just wanted to know more about myself too.
Anyway...
I walked through the portal, I'm in the garden. So now what?
I then decide to start shouting while looking for the guy, turning, looking but not finding.
"Yo! Angel show yourself! Want me to tear up this garden you've been looking after? Don't think I haven't noticed that you care about this garden more than anything else!"
Oh, it doesn't seem like he cares for this garden after all... or so I thought.
The angel then appears in front of me walking through a light portal.
The Angel: "Ah Light Bringer what brings you to this place?"
"Questions. That's what."
The Angel: "Ah, that which brings you to my presence the most."
I clench my teeth because I've had enough of the games: "Yeah and this time there'll be no mystery!"
The Angel: "Oh but there will be no questions of the sort. Only control."
Control? What is he talking about?
The Angel smiles while a light appears behind him blinding me.
"What the fuck are you doing?"
While chains seem to be gripping my body, I hear his voice drawing closer. I can't see what's happening but the sound and the feeling clearly give it away.
The Angel: "You see Light Bringer; it is clear to me that it is not within your ability to destroy your friend Shadow."
"What the fuck are you on about now? We beat Shadow. He's back to normal!"
The Angel: "Oh and that is exactly the problem Light Bringer."

"What?"
The Angel: "You should have disposed of him properly instead. You were close to finally destroying the Seal. You missed just by a few centimeters, unfortunately."
"The Seal? What Seal?"
The Angel: "The Seal which would bring forth the great cataclysm of course."
"It sounds to me like you want that to happen."
The Angel: "Oh but of course. The humans on that planet are so gullible. You just spread untruths amongst a few of them and they take it as a definite truth eventually spreading the gospel around as if they're all sheep. It is appalling to see that planet belonging to a lowly species such as them. We, Light Bringer, are the ones that are meant to rule the earth. We, the angels, the celestials, the gods are the ONLY ones that truly deserve that planet."
I try to break out of the chains after I can see again but it does nothing and it starts to make me mad so I decide to catch my breath and calm down again.
"So, everything was a lie. What's your deal then?"
The Angel: "What. Is. My Deal? Ha-ha! The mortals even have a lesser way of speaking. They've even corrupted your tongue and pure celestial soul. It is a shame that they corrupt everything with their tainted hands. This is why they need to be wiped out by us. We will reshape the world and make it pure again. This is why you should join me. No. You will join me whether you like it or not and you will kill that boy and unleash the heavens upon the earth then we will finally be reunited with our brethren of light. Although that being within him might be a problem... ah, maybe it matters not. Surely, we would be able to destroy that entity of darkness with the might of the heavens. Ah! Glorious days!"
"I knew there was something fishy about you. I just couldn't put my finger on it."

The Angel: "Fishy? No, there is certainly nothing of the sort. All I seek to do is to be reunited with my brothers and sisters, finally causing the cataclysm."
"Wait, you just said you would cause the cataclysm and that after you kill Shadow the heavens will be unleashed. Why's that?"
The Angel: "Oh, I suppose I should enlighten you about everything before I set your mind on the righteous path then. All this time your dear friend has been holding onto the seal of the heavens along with that dark entity. It was definitely cruel of the being called God to banish us from the human realm, I must say. The banished were then locked in heaven and with the seal being on earth along with your friend there was certainly no way we would be allowed to cross the threshold. All of the angels were locked away, well except for me and you of course. That is a blessing on its own."
"So, what you're telling me is that..."
The Angel nods and says: "Yes."
"That Shadow was chosen by God. Now that is as awesome as it gets."
The Angel: "NO! Light Bringer, that is not the point."
"Hey who cares about the details. I don't care about your reasons and bullshit because Shadow and I are going to stop you no matter what."
The Angel: "No, maybe it matters not, for whatever comes, we certainly will rule. Ah! What a splendid way of thinking Light Bringer! Yes, forget about the details and bring about the destruction of the filth that is the human race. Therefore, your friend needs to die so that the seal could be destroyed and only you could kill him. Forget about the rumors that have been spread over time Light Bringer. Those were all fabricated by yours truly. Your friend Shadow is not the cause of the end. WE ARE. And you will be the one to cause the Cataclysm of Light."
"Cataclysm of Light? You know what? Shut your yap. I ain't helping you for shit! And how many times do I have to tell everyone, I ain't killing Shadow."
The Angel: "Oh you certainly will."
The Angel then walks around me, looking at me as if I'm some sort of a weird experiment. Well shit. What's about to happen next?
I then see him summon something in his hand that looks similar to Shadows flame. It looks weird though.
"So, what are you about to do to me?"
The Angel: "Simple, Light Bringer. I'm about to set your soul ablaze with love for the light."
"That doesn't even look like it would make me love the light dude. That's a piece of Shadows flame."
The Angel: "Ah, I see you have caught on. You see Light Bringer, that power of your friends is quite astounding. Throughout the eons his power in itself has been the very thing controlling him. Yes, it is quite astonishing that he has been there for eons and has been controlled for eons. Which is why I have taken a portion of that control and changed it into my own. This right here would allow me to control any being under the sun. All except for your friend of course. It is his power after all."
"You know I've said this before but let me just say it again. You talk too much."
The Angel then moves his hand towards Illume as he says...
"Well, there will not be any more talking after this... only heavenly chaos."
...
What will happen next? Read more and find out. If you've read this far, I'm grateful and thank you for your support. (^-^)/

Star Wars X Mass Effect
Like the title says, it's a crossover between Star Wars and Mass Effect. I'm using both the Star Wars Legends continuity and my personal playthrough of Mass Effect Trilogy for the story. This is actually my first fan fiction ever, so sorry in advance if chapters feel like summaries or my writing in general is off.

Force Majeure: A web novel
In the Qursan Empire, the grey walls of the city press down on its subjects. It is a highly divided society which is based on the magical strength of its citizens. While the most powerful are trained as Mages, the majority of citizens use their limited skills with essence to power the city in their assigned jobs. Jano is pretty much the lowest of the low in the Qursan Empire. A Class Ten citizen forced into transitory work after having his power restricted. When he gets the opportunity to change all of that, he takes it with both hands. Please note this is an edited version of my story ‘city of captives’. It follows a similar structure but I’ve ironed out some of the kinks. If you read that version, much of this will be similar though there are some differences. This is a slow burning progression fantasy. Please expect at least two chapters per week. I love writing this story but I do have unfortunate things to deal with like work and life outside of writing. I may be able to write and edit more than that, but it will never be less! If you enjoy this, consider following me on Instagram by just searching Crow J Williams.
