There was a knock on the door. Malcolm’s shot open. Sitting up in bed, he stretched the stiffness out of his skinny body. Another knock. Shuffling across the cramped studio apartment, he stepped over takeout containers and piles of laundry. Looking through the peep-hole, Malcolm opened the door.
“‘Bout time,” said the muscular visitor, “You just wake up?”
Malcolm scratched his stubble and shrugged, “I guess. Come in.” The two walked over to a card table in the middle of the apartment. Sinking into a chair, Malcolm brushed the matted blonde hair off his forehead, picked up a cigarette butt with a little yet more to offer and re-lit it. “You want something to drink?” he mumbled.
The visitor looks around the apartment, surveying the mess. “Jesus, are you taking care of yourself?”
Malcolm snapped his fingers, “Brad,” the visitor turned back to him, “anything to drink?”
Shaking his head, Brad sat down across from him and pulled a manila folder from under his arm onto the table. “Here’s what you’ll need for tonight. It took forever to get that.” Sliding a piece of paper from the folder, he pushed it over to Malcolm. Uragiri2! “There should be one or two security officers,” continued Brad. “Let me in at midnight, when your mop-jockey shift ends, I’ll make sure they don’t bother you.”
Malcolm blew smoke absently at Brad, who waited for a reaction, some kind of sign that the lights were on and someone was indeed home. “Mal, you got this? Transferring cash out of accounts?”
Smoke expelled from Malcolm’s nose with a sigh. He ground out the butt directly on the table. “It’s the kinda shit I went to school for,” he said, his eyes still lifelessly looking at the wall behind Brad.

Nodding, Brad pulled a post-it pad and pen from his pockets. Scrawling an address, he dropped the note on the table. “We’ll meet at this location after. I’ve got a friend there that can load the money onto disposable VISA gift cards. After that we’ll go our separate ways. You’ll finally have the cash to live somewhere nice. How’s that sound?”
Grinning, Malcolm’s eyes locked on Brad’s. “So good.”

Hunched over in the dark, windowless office, Malcolm worked. The only sound in the room was the clacking of keystrokes. A little more time and everything would be according to plan. The door behind him opened abruptly, “You almost done?” said Brad.
“Almost.”
“The guards are out cold but…”
“But what?” asked Malcolm, his eyes never leaving the screen.
“I think someone passing by saw me choking one of them out,” said Brad. “They might call the police.”
“Well, that was stupid of you,” said Malcolm, without missing a beat. With a loud clack, he rose from the chair. “We’re done here.”
“Just one more step,” said Brad with a smile, “Then it’s payday for both of us!”
“Then we go our separate ways,” said Malcolm.
“See you at the place,” Brad hurried out of the room.
Wiping the keyboard and monitor down, Malcolm pulled the post-it note with the safe house’s address. “Choking out guards,” he muttered. Once the money’s loaded on the cards, it’s physical. Brad was an imposing man, someone who could choke others out.
As long as the money remained digital, Malcolm had control of it. Crumpling up the yellow post-it, Malcolm dropped it next to the computer chair. “It might be best that we part ways sooner rather than later.” He smiled, “Maybe a trip’s just what I need…”

Rise of the Paragon - A Post-Apocalyptic LitRPG
Thomas and his best friend Kevin were the top players of Holy Arc Online, one of the hardest MMORPGs in the world, and also one of the worst-rated MMOs of all time. They had both embraced the challenge it provided and had finally, after years of dedication, beat the final boss of the game. However, all wasn't as it seemed. Welcome to the game, Genesis. System Integration shall now begin. With the dawning of the apocalypse, so to comes the collapse of society. How will Thomas and his friends react to the world crashing around them? Will they be able to carve their own home in this new, and dangerous reality? And will Thomas be able to fulfill the obligations heaped upon him by the gods themselves? Author's Note: As of right now the release schedule for Exodus | Book 2 of the Rise of the Paragon Series will be released weekly on Mondays, and Thursdays at 3:00 pm EST. Writing Rise of the Paragon is a personal experiment of mine in writing a grand-scale novel within the LitRPG genre. I have written some fiction in the past, but none near as ambitious in the content as I eventually envision Rise of the Paragon will be. So! Join me on my journey, provide helpful criticism, edits, or whatever suits your mind! I appreciate any and all feedback!!!! We also have a Discord for anybody who wants to talk all things Rise of the Paragon!! Genesis Discord Also, consider joining my Patreon! Fair Warning: Blue Screens, and somewhat overpowered protagonists! The main character's point of view is described in first person. Every other character is in third person. That's just how I've chosen to present my writing style. REWRITE/REVISE is currently in progress. Any suggestions? Comment on their respective chapters!

Reincarnation of a Businessman
A businessman is betrayed by those he holds dearest and reincarnates into a mystical world of cultivation where the power of a single person can split the heavens. However, his reincarnation does not go smoothly... ******************** This is a xianxia (cultivation/progression fantasy) story which fuses a lot of western fantasy elements. This story includes POV's of different characters which are all going to be developed in the future and will have an effect on the story. The novel is named after the reincarnation of the businessman which serves as a cataclysm in the world of cultivation, and while the MC uses some of his business knowledge, this novel is not centered around the MC creating a business empire. I plan to extend the story into at least 2 books, both taking place in the same world. ******************** Updates will happen once every 2 days, but this is often going to change to once every day or once every 3 days because I am not currently writing full-time, and neither is my editor.

Deviant's Masquerade: The Huntsman's Quest (An Urban Magic Quest/RPG)
Jon Whitaker went to summer camp expecting a nice relaxing time as a newly minted counselor in training. He was not expecting to fight an army of monsters, work with a serial killer, enter a one-sided friendship with an eldritch horror, or study under a competing witch and dark lord. But regardless of what he was expecting, his summer is over and he's made his way back home where he can try and return to a normal -for him- life. Too bad life rarely goes as expected. --- Please Note: This is forum quest/RPG I run in the same city/setting as my other stories Hacking Reality and Get Ink'd, meaning that while a majority of the plot is made up by me, the major choices as well as what each chapter is about are usually made by the actual readers in forum votes. Additionally, given how this is essentially a story version of a Tabletop game there is also a background RPG system that while the characters aren't necessarily aware of, the readers can see these stats to know how each chosen 'Action' effects their character's development.
