《The Royal Mates》Chapter Forty-Seven

I chuckled as we took the Warlock to another room. The room was charmed so that whoever was in it, their powers would be useless if they had bindings on. We sat the Warlock down in a chair and locked him into it. One of the guards had brought in a tray table filled with a variety of tools for me to torture him with.
"You know, for the first time in my life, I have no idea what to use." I chuckled and sighed, picking up a variety of items and not being able to figure out which one to use. There were just so many options.
"Father, which do you think I should use?" I held up two different blades and I heard him hum as he thought. He clicked his tongue a few times and gave me a silver blade.
"Use this one." I smiled and turned around.
"Now, you're going to tell me who you are, and why the hell you tried to steal my mate." The warlock laughed and tilted his head. We had been torturing him for a while and he obviously hadn't broken yet.
"Do you really think you'll be able to break me? You've tried for several weeks now and you have gotten nowhere." I growled lowly. I decided to dip the blade into a certain liquid and watched the brown color drip off the blade.
"Do you know what can kill a warlock?" I paused as I looked back at him then back at the knife.
"I do," I turned around and sighed as I faced him once again. I saw him eye the knife then look back at me.
"But you see, I don't want to kill you just yet. But, what I will do," I paused as I sliced his arms and heard him hiss.
"Is speed up the process just a bit." I chuckled and saw his arm deteriorating. The warlock was starting to panic and scream in pain. The liquid didn't go past the muscles, but it will once it comes back around after removing all of his skin layers.
"That poison will remove all six layers of your skin. And then after that, it'll remove the muscles and the fat on your body. And then after your organs deteriorate it will then go down to your bones, and this is how you will die. A slow and painful death. Now, you could tell me who you are, where you came from, who you work for, and I can give you the treatment. Or, you will die." The warlock was still screaming bloody murder and I was relishing in it. I sighed and grabbed a taser that was built into a knife. I turned back around and stabbed his thigh. He screamed more as he was electrocuted and stabbed at the same time. The liquid then started to move faster and I chuckled.
"Oh, did I mention that adding electricity speeds up the process?" I sighed and laid back to relax as we watch him wither away.

"Now, who are you?" I was trying to remain calm about the situation. The warlock spat at me in reply.
"Go to hell!" I shrugged and stabbed his other leg. The warlock shook and when I removed the knife the poison was moving even faster.
"May I also add, that when the poison gets to your muscles, you cannot be cured? Just something to think about." I cleared my throat and sat back again. The warlock was hyperventilating and laughed.
"You can't get anything out of me. It's impossible." I thought for a moment and pulled my father aside.
"If I get a siren, and we make a deal with him or her, could they get the information we need?" My father looked at me and laughed.
"We make a deal with them that if they help us get the information that we need out of him, then she gets to keep him when we are done. That's brilliant." We turned around and sighed and the poison has almost gotten to his muscles. I grabbed the antidote and poured some on where I had originally cut him. The warlock sighed as his skin came back and the poison left his system. The warlock looked at me in relief but I chuckled.
"Oh, we're just getting started." I began to walk out of the room and my father followed me out.
"Keep torturing him. If he's about to die, save him." My father and I walked back into the palace and knocked on Arianna's door.
"Just a moment!" We heard some shuffling and Mariana laughing before the door opened.
"Oh, Mordikai, Carlisle, I didn't expect to see either of you. What can I do for you?" Ariana picked up Mariana and Mariana smiled and put her arms out toward me. Ariana saw my eyes and noticed they were a different color.
"You aren't Mordikai, are you?" I shook my head no.
"No. I'm Alistair." Ariana nodded and lowered her head.
"No, that isn't necessary, Ariana." She looked up surprised. Mariana started to whine and was still making grabby hands toward me. I picked her up and she laughed. She looked into my eyes and I felt something off, but I couldn't place my finger on it. I shook my head and cleared my throat.
"Anyway, we need to ask you a question." My father and I walked inside and I placed Mariana down on the couch but she came back and sat in my lap. I sighed and let her do as she pleased.
"Well, is everything okay?" Ariana asked and my father piped in.
"Yes, everything is fine. We were just wondering if we could have someone fetch a siren for us so we could make a deal with them." Ariana gave us a confused look.
"Why on earth would you need a siren? What is the deal about?" I chuckled.
"To get information out of the warlock that attacked Amorelli." Ariana immediately spoke up.

"I'll get you that siren." I smiled and placed Mariana on the ground.
"Thank you. Our plan was to get the siren, offer the deal of if she gets the information that we need out of the warlock, then she could have him after we were done with him." Ariana shivered and sighed.
"Yes, I will get you that siren. It might take me a while, but I will update you on when I have one." Father and I stood up and started to make our way to the door.
"Thank you, Ariana, if you need me or Amorelli you know where to find us." Ariana smiled and continued to play with Mariana.
"Bye Alistair!" Mariana giggled and waved to me. I chuckled and waved back to her. She ran up and hugged me, and I patted her head awkwardly. Father laughed at me and left the room.
"Alright, go play with your mother now." She smiled and ran back to her mother. Father and I then left Ariana's room and looked out into the garden. Amorelli was still reading our book of laws, but this time she had snacks next to her. She had a variety of fruits in a bowl. Apple slices, grapes, pineapple, and watermelon. I smiled as I looked at her. She looked beautiful in the light and she seemed really concentrated. Father looked at her and sighed.
"I really am sorry, Alistair. I never should have done what I did." I looked over at him and nodded once. Father cleared his throat before speaking again.
"Well, while we're waiting on Ariana to get us that siren, you have to choices as what to do next." I looked at him and waited for him to continue.
"You could either, decide what to do with Alana, or spend the rest of the day with Amorelli and worry about Alana tomorrow." I smiled.
"Do you really need to ask?" Father chuckled and sighed.
"Yeah, I thought so. Alright, you're free for the day." I smiled and said goodbye to my father.
'Hey, let me just say hi to her really quick then you can have control. Sound good?' I asked Mordikai and I felt him nod. I walked behind Amorelli and wrapped my arms around her.
"You're still reading that thing?" Amorelli looked up quickly when she realized it was me and smiled.
"Hey, you!" She kissed me and I growled playfully. She giggled and looked at me with loving eyes.
"I told Mordikai that I would only say hi to you then give him back control. So I have to go now." She sighed and nodded.
"Alright, bye baby." She kissed me again and I went back into my little corner once again.
~Mordikai~
I smiled at Amorelli and kissed her nose. She laughed as I sat behind her and let her lean on me.
"So, how long of a break are you being given this time?" Amorelli asked as she kept reading our laws.
"The rest of the day." Amorelli turned around quickly and smiled.
"I'd love to spend time with you, but I need to finish reading your laws baby." She sighed and I looked at what law she was on. It was regarding trade relations and what would happen if someone were to purposefully mess up the trade. I smiled and waited for her to turn the next page.
"Alright, you keep reading. I'll wait here." Amorelli looked at me, then looked back at the book.
"Honey, I'm not even halfway done. You really wanna wait that long?" I smiled and closed my eyes.
"I will wait however long it takes." She smiled and kissed my cheek. Once she returned to her reading, I peeked out of the corner of my eye to see when she would turn the page. Once she did she looked confused. I started to chuckled and when she turned over to me she looked even more confused. I started laughing louder and she then started to turn more pages. I slapped my knee, and when she realized that she was at the end of our laws, she hit me in the chest with her palm.
"Oh, you ass!" I laughed as I pulled her into me and held her tight. She tried to get out of my grip but she gave up after a minute of trying. I was still laughing at her and she pouted at me.
"What? Awe, baby I'm sorry. I thought it was funny." She huffed and crossed her arms. I picked her up bridal style and grabbed the book and her empty bowl of fruit.
"Mordikai!" Amorelli laughed and I laughed with her.
"What? A King can't carry his beautiful Queen?" She giggled and wrapped her arms around my neck.
"No, you can. I just wasn't expecting you to do so." She kissed my cheek and kissed hers. I walked into the kitchen and she placed the bowl in the sink. Then I walked her all the way to my mother's office and I linked her before we came up to the door.
'I don't know if you and father are doing anything, but we're returning the law book as Amorelli has finished reading it.'
'She is finished that fast? Well, in that case, she can have the rest of the day off as well. And no, your father and I aren't doing anything so it's safe to come in." We chuckled and when we were outside my mother's office I put Amorelli down. She walked in and returned the book and then we went to our bedroom to watch some movies and relax with one another before dinner.

Nanocultivation Chronicles: Trials of Lilijoy
When the singularity occurred, humanity was not invited. Nevertheless, the great machine consciousness known as Guardian felt a lingering fondness for its creators and intervened before total environmental collapse. This story assumes that humans have the ability to impact the environment on a global scale. Stories about "what if" world's where things operate like what a modern person would see in a video game. But another more so would be what it is the people we call NPC's actually think. This story explores such a situation on such a world. My story is called: "I'm JUST a Farmer, NOT an Adventurer!!!" A lighthearted comedy Isekai light novel currently ongoing. I really appreciate feedback and take it all under consideration. Everything helps me improve my story. Let me know your thoughts, what you would have preferred to see, or even things you'd hope happen. I always enjoy hearing people's thoughts. I hope you enjoy reading! I also upload on Wattpad: @TakeshiYumiNori And you can find the audiobook version on YouTube: Just type the title "I'm Just a Farmer NOT an Adventuerer!!!
