~Maverick~

“Alpha, are you sure about this?” My beta asked me and I growled in irritation.

“Yes. I’m one hundred percent sure about this. We need to go there and retrieve what I need.” I paced around with my arms behind my back. Our village was almost done being rebuilt. I sighed as I thought the plan over again.

We would need to get to the palace. It will take a few hours to get there in wolf form. I’m only taking a few people with me, as I’m not trying to attack the new King and Queen. I simply need to make a business transaction with them. Information in return for something I need. Something I desire. Something I need to help me rule my rouges.

Once we get there, we wait for the King and Queen to greet us. Hopefully, they will be generous enough for us to wait inside and not out in the cold. Once the King and Queen meet with me, I will then say what I need to say and wait for them to come to an agreement, as I have valuable information that they would like.

After that, we can discuss why I’m there, and I can get what I want.

What I need.

And hopefully, there will be no issues in getting that.

“Alright Alpha. Whatever you say. Who else would you like to join us?” I thought about it for a moment before I responded.

“Just bring three other people with us. Our best fighters. Marshall, Lucas, and Gemma.” My beta Isaiah bowed and left to fetch the three people I needed. After they arrived, we packed some warm clothes and put them in bags. We put them on the ground and shifted. Once we picked up the bags, we started running to the palace.

It was time to get what I came for a while ago.

~Mordikai~

As the week went by, Amorelli had successfully learned everything she needed to learn as Queen. My mother taught her well, and Amorelli was more than willing to learn. My father and I had gone over everything I needed to go over as King, and now it was purely down to focusing on training everyone, as well as waiting for Arianna to get us that siren, and to take care of Alana. I made sure that the bars on her cell were reinforced with silver and wolfsbane to the point where there was the thickest coating we could get on there. We also put her in the bindings that remove powers. We don’t know if she has any, but we did so as a precaution. I was sitting at my desk doing paperwork when I heard a knock on my door.

“Come in,” It was Dimitri. He bowed first before making his way completely into the room.

“Your majesty, there is a letter for you.” I nodded and continued to look over the papers in front of me.

“From who?” Dimitri took a second to look over the name that was on the letter.

“Ryan and Lillian Semyonov. Does that name ring a bell, your majesty?” My head shot up toward the letter. I let a small smile appear on my face before I took the letter from him.

“Yes, I know Ryan. He was at the coronation party. It was when we were looking for the Alpha’s forcing their children to mate. Ryan had a mate, and may goddess rest her soul, she passed away. The moon goddess presented him with a second chance mate, which is Lillian. She couldn’t make it since she was pregnant and was supposed to have her pup sometime soon. I told them to contact me when the pup was born.” Dimitri gave me a small smile.

“Wonderful Alpha, should I wait here until you’re done reading the letter so I can inform a group of people to accompany you and the Queen to their pack?” I nodded once and read cursive writing.

The date is October 31, 2136, and we welcome to the world our son, Alexei Semyonov.

We invite you to the MoonGuard pack to celebrate the Moon Goddess’ blessing on our lives.

We hope you can make it to our special occasion, and celebrate with us the coming to this world of Alexei. No gifts are needed, but if you feel the need to give us something, then we will not stop you.

The party will be on November 1st, 2136, at the MoonGuard Pack.

I smiled and looked at Dimitri.

“They had a son. Please make arrangements for Amorelli and me to visit the pack and say hello to the new parents and future alpha of the MoonGuard pack.” Dimitri nodded and bowed.

“Of course, your majesty.” I sighed and folded the letter back up. I can get a hold of Amorelli myself.

‘Love, where are you?’ I asked her and I felt her heart soar.

‘I’m in our room about to get changed. Is everything alright?’

‘Yes, more than alright. I got a letter from Lillian and Ryan. They had their pup. His name is Alexei, and we’re going to go visit them. They aren’t too far from here, so it’ll be maybe a half-hour car ride.’ I could feel Amorelli’s excitement.

‘Oh, wonderful! What should I wear?’ I thought for a moment before responding.

‘I’ll actually meet you in our bedroom. I need to change as well, and I can help you find something to wear to the occasion.’

‘Alright, love. I’ll get my hair ready then. I’ll see you soon.’ I felt her cut off the link, and I quickly made my way to our room. By the time I had gotten to our room, Amorelli had her hair down and curled, while waiting for me in a small, see-through robe. I growled lightly and she giggled. The sight of her made my heart swell. I walked over to her and put my arms around her while taking in her scent.

“You look ravishing, Amorelli,” I growled and she giggled once again before she sighed from me pressing light kisses to her neck. I rubbed my face against hers and she laughed while turning around in her chair to face me.

“Let’s go get changed, shall we?” I smiled and nodded.

“We shall. The MoonGuard pack if about an hour or two away, and it’s pretty cold out. So we need to wear something warm.” Amorelli nodded as she went into our closet. I chose dark blue jeans, a white button-down shirt, my brown winter boots, and the black winter jacket that I use for traveling. I also grabbed a black beanie and a black scarf. I turned around to Amorelli to see her in a grey sweater dress, black leggings, and her black knee-length boots. She also had a black scarf and a beige beanie. I admired her beauty in the simplest outfit, and I couldn’t contain my growl of approval. She smiled and came up to me while wrapping her arms around my neck.

“You look very handsome, Mordikai,” I saw the love in her eyes and I pulled her closer.

“You look gorgeous, Amorelli,” Amorelli blushed and kissed me in return. I pulled her closer and squeezed her lightly before breaking the kiss. I got down on my knees and kissed her stomach three times.

“One for each of you.” Amorelli put her hands against her heart and smiled at me. I felt her happiness surge through her and I smiled up at her. I grabbed her hand and we walked out of the closet and toward the front door.

“Dimitri and Diesel will be coming with us. Would you like to see if Zinniah and Serge would like to come with us?” Amorelli gave me a wide smile before she nodded furiously. I laughed and stopped walking so I could message Dimitri.

‘Dimitri, I need you to fetch Zinniah and Serge for me. Amorelli and I are near the front door of the palace.’

‘Of course, your majesty. I will meet you at the front in a few minutes. Diesel is already on his way.’

‘Thank you, Dimitri.’ I cut off the mind link with him and waited a few short minutes. Diesel appeared as Dimitri said he would, and not too long after, Zinniah, Serge, and Dimitri appeared as well. Zinniah and Serge were already dressed warmly as if they were just about to head outside. Zinniah and Amorelli hugged before she spoke up.

“What’s going on? Are we going somewhere?” Zinniah asked as she leaned into Serge’s chest. I pulled Amorelli close to me and breathed in her scent, allowing her to talk to Zinniah herself.

“There was a pack that came up to us during the coronation that said their son’s mate was at home pregnant and that she couldn’t attend. We told them to tell us when she had the baby so we could meet them both. She had the baby yesterday, and we’re invited. Would you like to come with us?” Zinniah smiled and nodded.

“I’d like to!” Zinniah giggled and Serge kissed the top of her head.

“We’ll be riding in a separate car than you two. I’ll have my guard Daniel ride with me and Zinniah.” Serge said and Zinniah went a little stiff.

“Something wrong, Z?” Amorelli asked as she stepped toward her friend. Zinniah played with her hands and sighed.

“Daniel was the guy I saw when Serge was in the hospital when I accidentally rejected him. He was about to hit me when Serge put a field around me. I just don’t know if he will try and hit me again.” Zinniah shifted uncomfortably and you could feel Serge’s aura radiating from him.

“He will never do that again. I talked to him about it. You are safe, my cherry blossom.” Serge inhaled her scent and squeeze Zinniah softly. Zinniah nodded, but we all knew she wouldn’t stop being paranoid until she was actually in the car with Daniel.

“Well, Diesel and Dimitri will be riding with us. As well as a few other guards following us in cars behind us. Does anyone need to grab anything before we head out?” Everyone shook their heads no and I nodded.

“Very well. The cars should be waiting. I’m going to link my beta and let him know what’s going on.” Everyone knew that since Alana had disobeyed the laws, she was no longer my beta, therefore I chose Marcus to be my beta. He’s a good leader, and he has a mate by his side to help him make choices.

‘Marcus, I’m going on a trip to the MoonGuard pack to meet the Alpha, Luna, and their newborn child. Amorelli, Zinniah, and Serge are coming with me. You’re in charge for the time being until I get back. Do not contact me unless you absolutely have to.’

‘Yes, Alpha. Understood.’ I cut off the link with Marcus and got into the limo with Amorelli, Dimitri and Diesel. As soon as we got in, Daniel came around from the side of the castle and got into the limo with Serge and Zinniah. His glare toward her didn’t go unnoticed by me. I growled lowly and Amorelli looked at me curiously. Once the car started moving, I mind linked Amorelli again.

‘Daniel glared at Zinniah. He doesn’t trust her and think’s she’s going to hurt Zinniah again. We need to keep an eye out on him.’ I felt Amorelli’s rage roll off her in waves. Diesel and Dimitri shifted uncomfortably in front of us, yet they knew better than to ask.

~Mordikai~

‘I’ll kill him if he does anything to hurt her.’ With that, she cut off the link. It wasn’t until a few minutes later that I got a link from one of my warriors in the car behind us.

‘King Mordikai, may I ask what made Queen Amorelli so angry?’ Abram asked me hesitantly. I sighed and gave him my honest answer knowing he was going to tell Zinniah and Serge.

‘I noticed Daniel glare at Zinniah before he entered the car. Since Amorelli practically raised Zinniah and are sisters, she became enraged and said she would kill Daniel if he touched her. Please relay this information to King Serge and Princess Zinniah aloud.’ I heard Abram gulp before he muttered a ‘Yes your majesty’ before cutting off the link. Two seconds later, I felt Serge’s aura from behind us, his rage also rolling off him in rage. Diesel and Dimtri were really uncomfortable now and I just sighed as I pulled Amorelli closer to me. She closed her eyes and took a nap for the rest of the way to the pack.

~Serge~

I was fuming. Daniela and I had talked about what happened with Zinniah a few days after the incident with her accidentally rejecting me, and the fight with Maverick. Daniel said that he was fine as long as Zinniah didn’t do anything to hurt me. Well, he practically lied to my face since he glared at Zinniah on our way into the car. He obviously has a problem with her, and he’s going to have to go through me if he tries to hurt her. Daniel knew not to piss me off after Abram told us what had Amorelli fuming, but that didn’t stop him from trying to explain himself.

“Your majesty, I just want to know that Princess Zinniah won’t end up killing you, this time on purpose.” I hissed at him angrily and he sighed.

“She has accepted me. And I am respecting her because I know she is only fifteen, and she might not be ready for my mark yet. And if she isn’t ready for that, then she sure as hell isn’t ready for the sex that comes after that.” Zinniah was curled into my side. I could smell the fear coming off of her. I sighed and put my head in her neck while taking in breaths of her scent to help calm me down.

“Your majesty, I understand, but she needs to understand that she can’t accidentally reject you and then think everything is okay. You are my King, as well as my best friend.” I hissed again and pulled Zinniah into my lap. Zinniah had a frown on her face and kissed my cheek, trying to help me calm down. Daniel sighed and looked out the other window. I started to feel my hunger start up again, and I knew I would need to eat soon. Zinniah seemed to notice this and sat up.

“Serge, do you need something to hold you off?” Daniel looked over at us, wondering what the hell she was doing.

“Darling, I don’t want you doing that again. That’s only as a last resort. The pack is only half-an-hour away. I will be fine. However, when I get there and get permission from the Alpha to hunt something not too far away, I’m leaving you with Amorelli and Mordikai. Understand, my water lily?” Zinniah smiled and kissed me softly and laid her head back on my shoulder. Our moment was short-lived as Daniel spoke up once more.

“You’ve given him your blood, Princess?” Daniel sounded surprised for a moment. She hummed her reply and Daniel looked like he regretted what he said earlier.

“That is why her parents aren’t talking to us. Because I almost died twice, and Maverick had fought us, I couldn’t feed. I didn’t want to leave her side, and Amorelli was on her heat. I don’t trust anyone else but you. However, you refused to be around her. Therefore, I nearly went mad because I was so hungry, and she cut her arm without listening to me telling her no. So, I drank some of her blood and was fine for a bit after that. I’ve been leaving her with Mordikai whenever I decide to feed, and have refused her blood since.” Daniel nodded in reply and I kissed Zinniah’s head and rubbed her back for half an hour. When we got to the pack, I woke Zinniah up and rushed out of the car. Now I’m feeling the need for food. And I’ll do anything to get it.

~Amorelli~

Once we arrived at the pack, we stepped out of the vehicles and were met with a fuming Serge and a worried Zinniah. I sighed and rubbed her back. I saw Serge’s eyes were red and nodded.

“The Alpha should be out in a moment. He was alerted of our presence when his guards around the border saw the cars. Ask him when he gets out here if you could hunt a deer or something.” Serge nodded and held onto Zinniah. We all knew that she was the only thing keeping him calm. Zinniah rubbed his arms and he sighed. The Alpha came out not too long after with his mate and their son. Ryan smiled wide and brought his mate and their son over to us.

“Your majesties, it’s a pleasure to see you again. This is my Luna, Lillian. And this is our son, Alexei.” I smiled at both of them and looked at their son. He had bright blue eyes and smiled whenever he saw his parents.

“It’s wonderful to see you again Alpha Ryan, and it’s a pleasure to meet you, Luna Lillian, along with your son. Congratulations. This is King Serge and his mate Princess Zinniah. We were wondering if he would be able to hunt on your land. A deer perhaps, as he is a vampire and hasn’t fed in a while.” Mordikai spoke up and Ryan looked at Serge. His eyes were still red and he was starting to shake a bit. Their eyes went wide and Ryan spoke up immediately.

“Oh, of course! Go ahead. Do you mind bringing us the carcass? We do need a deer for the feast.” With a simple nod, Serge kissed Zinniah then ran off into the forest with a blink of the eye. Zinniah smiled and took my arm. I noticed her scar on her arm and grabbed it for a moment. I traced it and looked up to her.

“Did it hurt?” Zinniah giggled.

“No, not really. It wasn’t pleasant, but it wasn’t too painful.” I smiled and nodded. Daniel was still looking at her arm with disbelief.

“Something you’d like to say, Daniel?” I asked him and he shook his head no. He stayed silent as we walked to the party in the house. As soon as we all walked in, everyone turned to us and bowed, while muttering “Your majesties” for me and Mordikai, and “your highness” for Zinniah. She smiled lightly and we nodded our heads to all of them.

“Our King and Queen have decided to attend our celebration! Let us feast until we drop!” As soon as Ryan said that Serge came in with two, very large and very dead bucks. He had some blood dribbling down his chin and we gaped at him.

“You were that hungry?” Zinniah asked and he nodded once. He started to make his way toward her and tried pulling her in for a kiss.

“Serge Enzo Parish I swear to god, you better stop!” She squealed at him and we all froze.

“You know my middle name?” Zinniah smiled sweetly and made her way out of his grasp.

“Clean yourself up, then you can kiss me.” Serge wiped away the deer blood and picked Zinniah up and spun her once. She laughed and giggled when he put his head into her neck. I snickered under my breath and decided to let them have their fun.

“Lillian, do you need help with the bucks?” Lillian went wide-eyed before she snapped out of her shock.

“Of course, your majesty, you can help if you’d like!” Mordikai followed us into the kitchen where Ryan had already moved the deers. They had a whole table made for skinning and butchering deers. There were a few chefs who were already getting to work. I looked down at Alexei and smiled at him. He let out airy laughs and made grabby hands toward me. Lillian noticed and motioned if I’d like to hold him. I smiled and took him into my arms. I stared into his eyes and was amazed at how beautiful he was.

“He’s beautiful, Lillian.” I smiled at her and she giggled.

“Thank you, your majesty.” I put my hand in front of me.

“Please, call me Amorelli. I am not used to the whole ‘your majesty thing’.” I laughed along with her and she nodded.

“Of course, Amorelli.” I gave her Alexei back, but not before he grabbed onto my hair. I laughed and helped his hands out of my hair. He then latched onto his mother’s hair and we laughed more. Mordikai came behind me and put his hands on my stomach.

“That’ll be us soon.” I smiled and placed my hands on top of his. I sighed, knowing he was probably in my thoughts. I was really worried about the war with the Boss, as well as the safety of my children. I knew we needed to prepare, but the longer we took to prepare, the more my children would grow. I felt Mordikai growl behind me. Everyone was startled for a moment until they realized we were communicating through our link. I sighed and turned around in his arms.

‘Mordikai. I love you, and I love our children. But I will be damned if I do not fight in this battle. I know we should wait until after I have the children, but what if it’s too late at that point? What if some of the girls try killing themselves because they can’t do it anymore? I know Samara was thinking about it because we all were. You ca-’ Mordikai cut me off with a deep growl. I sighed, knowing it wasn’t Mordikai anymore, but Alistair.

‘You will not be fighting. You and our children need to be safe. We will talk about this later. We need to enjoy the party for now.’ I gave him a glare but sighed.

‘Fine. We will talk about this later.’ I cut off the link between us and forced myself out of his grip. I heard his growl and scoffed. I started helping Lillian with the deer once it was done being butchered. I helped season and cook the meat and plate it as well. The entire time, Alistair was still out. Everyone refused to look at him because they could sense his power. I heard a couple of gags because some women were getting aroused by his power. I let off my aura, and let them feel how they were angering your queen. I heard them whimper and leave every once in a while whenever it would happen. I turned around a sighed.

“Alistair, go talk to Ryan about the business we also came here for.′ Alistair grew confused.

“What are you talking about?”

“You know, the whole you-know-what, in the you-know-who?” His eyes went wide and he went to find Ryan. Lillian looked at me strangely, knowing I needed to make up a lie and not mention the moon goddess.

“I’m pregnant. So, I was hoping that in a few months when I give birth, you both could come to our celebration.” Lillian squealed and nodded while hugging me. I rubbed my neck and sighed.

“Is there something wrong, Amorelli?” Lillian asked and in a hushed whisper, I spoke.

“I am pregnant with Mordikai’s Comrade’s and Alistair’s children. One for each part of him. Should I be worried?” Lillian’s eyes went wide and she was at a lost for words.

“I don’t know. I’ve never heard of that happening before. But, I’m sure everything will be okay.” I smiled and nodded, hoping that everything really would be okay.
