《A Hidden Secret(Cancelled)》10: What A Way To Bribe Someone

In their own circle, the world changed quickly around them without themselves noticing, the light that invaded through the windows slowly dimmed until it became completely dark from the cause of the night pushing the volcano out of their strong territory. Caden started to head home after having his last conversation with Kaylee and Autumn when Autumn said something that piqued his interest.
"Oh, by the way, Caden. The school is planning to have a classroom paintball battle between our class and A3." Autumn strongly claimed.
"Paintball battle?" Caden asked confused.
"Yeah, the school has this thing where we fight each other to reach the top rank of the school to win prize money. It's all in fun and games" Kaylee stepped into the small talk with her own answer.
"Thanks for getting me to know then," Caden responded.
The next day Caden was introduced to the paintball field the two classes will be playing in, the sides had coloured uniforms to match their side while their paintball guns are based around their rank of power. If people wanted to rest or watch they had a shelter to the right of them that blocks the sun away and keeps them cosy when watching the gameplay.
Each class had a ranking on a massive scoreboard that floated above the field, B1, the class Caden studied in was surprisingly at Rank 3 on the scoreboard while A3 was in the first rank of the scoreboard. Class C2 was second-ranked among the list, a match B1 tied with.
"What's with all these class levels?" Caden questioned out of the blue.
"Oh, since our school is very different from others. We base it on how many marks you get. A, B and C are reversed when it comes to these, if you get 1 A on every test in the five months you'll be placed in Class A4. A3 will be two, A2 will be three, and A1 will be four. F, E and D are based on how many you get. If you get 4 E's on your test you'll be in Class E4...etc," Autumn explained.

"Do powers have ranks other than their coloured level?" Caden questioned again.
"No, powers are just coloured ranks," Autumn answered.
"Thanks, to the Miss Not Tour Guide. Where is my proper tour guide, Autumn?" Caden snapped.
"I might have bribed them by showing money..." Autumn said guiltily, keeping her voice lower than usual.
"YOU WHAT?! And I'm supposed to be your slave?! Who bribes people with money because they wanted to tour someone they know?!" Caden yelled.
"Sorry...I thought that's how it worked. They did disagree on allowing to tour you, though..." Autumn mumbled.
"Like that mattered. How much did you pay?" Caden asked with a more angered tone.
"£100,000" Autumn whispered.
"AUTUMN! YOU STUPID RICH BITCH!"

Domain of Man
Isolation is terrible. To feel isolated with your fellow man around you is worse. What if you were dumped in some backwards cave somewhere, completely nude, maybe with your family, or even completely alone? The age of pioneers, heroes, generals, and geniuses is long gone. Humankind has become numb to the world around it because of how paltry everything else is compared to the glory of its history, the sheer volume of their accomplishments, and the sum of its innovations. You can interact with people across the world, travel miles in mere hours, and never prepare your own food or shelter, and it's all accessible to even the normalest of individuals. Artificial intelligence is within arms reach in devices and computers and even houses, and neural interfaces aren't exclusive to the rich and powerful at this point. Someone far in the distance took notice of Earth, saw the multitude of hairless apes swarming its surface. That one went down the checklist to see if humanity had, in fact, beaten the 'game' of Life. Sure enough, they had gone above and beyond the requirements, but nobody had been watching. 'Why might that be?', that one wondered. Protocol was protocol, though, no matter how strange the situation was. They pulled the lever, they flipped the switch. It's time for New Game +. ??? So What If The World Is About To End? I Have Side Quests To Finish!
After the world was forever changed by a calamity over a thousand years ago, Litteral "Protagonist" Miles Trainer unlocks his Fate Dissociation System the night of his Class Awakening. With it, reality literally bends to accommodate his pace on the journey to become the Hero of Fate. "So you're saying that until I cross certain points or 'flags' calamity won't strike?" "In other words, unless I make my 'predestined' move, the world will be safe, right? I could just train away for years peacefully until I'm more than strong enough for anything and wreck shit when I damn please?" "Heh, yeah. I 'totally' won't abuse this~" [Author here, Just a forewarning that I'm writing this synopsis and the story without a solid outline/plot/whatever-you-want-to-call-it. The dialogue, here in the synopsis, probably won't ever be directly spoken in the story; though, it might. I only just finished writing the first chapter, so, we'll see.]

Rebirth of Destiny I
In a world where magical runes called Rebirths rest in the hands of hostile nations, fourteen-year-old Aiden lived a quiet life in a small town conveniently named Khalm. Born with crescent-shaped irises and silver hair, young Aiden was never bothered by his unusual birthmarks until the night his life as a simple delivery boy changed. He was the 'Rebirth Destroyer', someone ruling powers deemed a threat. Chased by death and the foretelling of the world ending by his hands, Aiden soon finds that there are few people he can trust. My stories are fantasy-based and heavily influenced by classic Final Fantasy games ( by classic I mean 1-10 ) and other Japanese Role-Playing Games I used to enjoy, with one difference; the main characters are Black. July 2022 update! After months of deliberation, I've decided to continue with this cast of characters in the next books instead. The loose ends in this story have been keeping me up all night. I've gotten started on 2 sequels to this; Rebirth of Destiny II based on the good ending and the alternative ending. After I get a good backlog built up they'll be published once a week.
