《A Hidden Secret(Cancelled)》11: Changed Attitude

The whole of Class B1 was wearing a blue uniform making them the Blue team, the class were collecting all the stuff they personally liked using in the field while Caden just chose the most basic paintball gun there is and didn't choose any colouring labels because he didn't have any labels on him.
Caden placed on his mask and got ready to play the game he trained a whole two weeks for, he changed his stance into a running stance and patiently waited for the whistle to blow, once the whistle blew Caden chased out into the field alongside his class and started seeing the other side.
There weren't any strict rules for this version of Paintball, everyone could use their powers anytime they wanted but they need to take it easy on the other player they targetted at. Fireballs flew in various colours ranging from red to green, the balls that came out of the guns had some blue electric attached to them.
Students from both sides shouted hit until Autumn, Kaylee and Caden were the last remaining ones on the Blue team, the Red team had over 4-5 players which made the play a quiet one from how focused everyone was.
Caden started catching on to how to play the game with very different tactics just from reading the map's size with his own eyes. He ducked his head around the wall cover and used two of his fingers to rapidly shoot at anything that had a person behind, in the corner of Caden's eye Autumn was seen sliding towards his location.
"Right, there's three on the left side while the other two are on the right. I and you will ambush the two lonely players while Kaylee tries and shoot one of the three on the other side." Autumn directed straightforwardly.
"Why not rush?" Caden asked under his panting breath.

"I and Kaylee don't play that way, we play it tactically no matter if it isn't the right way," Autumn answered.
Listening to the orders, Caden and Kaylee shot at the opposite hiding locations to distract them while Autumn could run down the pitch will real genuine speed and not her inhuman speed power.
Caden followed on afterwards shooting whenever one of the players pop their heads up from cover. Autumn slid across the dirt patch, kicking up all the dirt from off the ground as she rapidly shoots at the two targets she intended to shoot at, but in the sliding action, she was shot in the meantime meaning she was out.
Kaylee looked at Caden and nodded like they were using telepathy to communicate with each other, knowing it was two against three, they both rush their sides and tried desperately not to get shot. Caden slid across the ground and aimed his stable gun at the three unexpected players and started firing quickly, but he felt the world slow down into an insane amount when a paintball directly flew towards his way.
The red paintball slowly flew in Caden's direction, Caden, without thinking, bent his back onto the ground to the point it nearly broke his collarbone and dodged the oncoming ball. Then when he dodged that ball, he had to dodge more balls in slow motion until the world forcibly sped up again without his consent.
This incident caused Caden to violently crash into the fence, which he ignored and claimed as an accident, he hopped up onto the ground to then be hit by another paintball.
"Hit!" Caden shouted, raising his hand to see Kaylee was also raising her hand into the sky.
Autumn stood still and speechless, her eyes targetted Caden's movement as she kept thinking about something she knew she saw, only people with speedster capabilities could see other speedsters lightning clearly in slow motion, and at that moment, she noticed white lighting zapping from underneath Caden's back, damaging the grass around him in the progress.

Both classes congratulated each other after the match with peaceful manners after hearing they both tied, they all appreciated each other's effort. Caden was applauded for his play after crashing into the fence, he smiled at them all and headed over to Autumn who glared back at him.
"Are you oka-" Caden was interrupted by a loud smack from Autumn, Kaylee pulled Autumn away from Caden in a confused manner as she asks why did what she did.
"You lied to me didn't you? you hid your powers away from me, didn't you?" Autumn asked in a calmed angered voice, Caden stood silent as he stared at the ground with dead eyes.
Before Caden could answer, everything went south when the ground shook after everyone in the circle went flying miles, Caden was also one of the victims that were sent flying towards the ground. People started screaming from the sights of people ripped in half from the strong contact of an unknown force.
"Oh shut your whinging!" A male voice yelled, it came from a teenager covered in white crackling lightning, "Don't be in the circle when I'm trying to take out a person that ruined my life then!" The boy added to his maniac voice.
"I, Declan Kayden, have personally come to kill Autumn Malay, The Ice Whore." Kayden declared, directing his eyes over to a charging Autumn running inhuman speeds with purple lighting trailing off her back. Kayden aimed his hand at Autumn and shot ice which descended onto Autumn's feet, trapping her. Kaylee tried using her electric to help but came to no value when she was knocked out in a blur.
"Autumn, it's been such a long time since aI saw you decline me. Sorry for interrupting your useless drama moment with your boyfriend over there. I'll kill him after you, don't worry~" Kayden insanely giggled near Autumn's shivering ear. His hair was dyed white and it reached his skinny shoulders, he stood roughly the same height as Caden and had red, alerting eyes that glowed from the positioning of the sun. His grin was so massive that his chin started ripping into the shape of a monstrous smile, as blood poured from his skin he kept looking at Autumn.
"You look so beautiful, darling-" Kayden's play came to an end when he heard the distant voice of Caden repeating himself at a fast rate.
"You're all the same, you're all the same, you're all the same, you're all the same " Caden continued to repeat before getting kicked across the face from an annoyed Kayden.
"Shhh~ You're interrupting my date with Autumn." Kayden grinned, after saying his words he raised his electrifying hand and swung it down on Caden's exposed head.
The hand that no normal human eye couldn't see froze into the world of grey and black, Caden calmly stood up from his spot and looked at Kayden's grinning expression. His eyes became even more dead, the colour in his eyes dimmed even more into the darker shade of what it once used to be, anything that represented life vanished into dead particles of emptiness, the characters in the eyes became dull and had no meaning behind them anymore.
A white light started appearing and it started to take over the entire eyes to the point white lightning escaped from inside his eye sockets and zapped its way to the bottom of Caden's earlobes.
"You're all the same."

Dungeon's Path
The only places I have posted the story and allow it to exist are on RoyalRoad, Scribblehub, and my Patreon. So the world ended. Whoopsie? We didn’t even see it coming. Quite literally as it came at us faster than the speed of light. Don’t worry though, it got better. Also, I am not joking about the world ending. Most people say that and mean humans are inconvenienced for some reason. Nope, all matter disintegrated at the atomic scale there for a few moments. Apparently the local universe wasn’t actually stable? Don’t ask me to go into too much detail. It would require both of us to have a few more college degrees than sense, and I at least lack them (both the degrees and the sense). Anyway, the energy/matter/wibbly wobbly strings were at a local minimum and not the universal minimum. Basically, what we took for sea level was actually a nice little mountain lake and when the dam busted so did, well, everything. Now here is where things go a bit off track with what normal meant before. You see magic is real, qi is real, gods are real. Not on old Earth mind you but souls pay little attention to time and space so we dreamed of it. In fact, the closer the shift in reality got to Earth, the closer our dreams got to the new reality. This is basically me tip toeing around the fact that it was a ‘System Apocalypse’. Reality became a video game, I became a dungeon, and this is my story. Doyle Huxley just wanted a normal life but as the above might clue you in on that just isn’t in the cards. He gets to experience a “Path Based System Apocalypse” and some early paths he takes, both literally and figuratively, lead to him becoming a dungeon. The aim is to release chapters once a week on Friday. Cursing will be avoided and no naughty adult action will take place in the story.
