Finally, he arrived to the crime scene and asked about it from the nearby guard. They thought the culprit was a blood borne- an all-flesh being that seemed to attack man and animal for their blood to strengthen their bond to the netherworld and this intermediary world- as the guard that become victim and some guarded beast have been killed and their blood taken by claw like attack.
Pretty good observation on their behalf although I was aiming this to be High Vampire attack, that one sound better. And so on Zyca without knowing the real truth ransacked his brain to find a strategy in case if he found the Blood borne, knowing that his Devil’s Luck may trigger such possibility. I like that thoughtful part of this young one.
With nothing else to do as he can’t get his processed part of the G.G and Red Greater as the whole storage is a crime scene, Zyca returned to the Inn to eat dinner with his hungry stomach growling as he skipped breakfast and lunch. That is what would happen if he hadn’t heard a scream coming from a dark alley.
“it might be the blood borne, need to move fast” Zyca began forming chant in his mind ‘All-booster’ a buff that is not just a speed boost but all body and mental augmentation boost that also worked as anti debuffer in case the creature had trait of paralyzing, pressuring, or other mental disabler. He run swift as wind and yet silent as shadow with his ‘Shadow Stepper’ enhancement on his shoes which embeds the silent and stealth when one step unto shadows and because the dimly lit place shadow scatters everywhere, which made things easier for Zyca.
He rushed towards the distressed voice and what he found is damnation of brutal looking bipedal monstrosity, a beast with talons as fingers, standing on its tendril entwined legs with convulsing veins and deformed human face as its jaw filled with fang that each jutted out of its mouth…a freaking blood borne…this is malarkey…how in my watch a blood borne invade the city, is this a brought by Zyca Devil’s Luck, but the victim is almost dead from lack of blood. A female clerk by the uniform and satchel bag she wear.

It seemed like his gaze only on the woman. All I feel from Zyca is rage and coldness at this point, as if…ah right it almost look like that scene…how much of this is possible to be triggered by his Devil’s Luck.
“Hahaha…another one comes to bite the dust as he come to be my food” the cackling blood borne come closer toward Zyca pointing his bloody talon of a finger which Zyca didn’t bother to look at as his mind thought is what to do to save the victim “such poor lady, after losing her brother, the unfortunate guard yesterday that become our call now she will also joining him but alas I must say thanks to her for bringing another prey for me” twice the malarkey for the resemblance and that thing just said her guard brother died…Thrice damn it, how much nonsense of devil’s luck is this…I am going to deny this power later, huh. Now toward the Blood borne.
Zyca pulled out his sword and took a thrusting stance “Instant Movement”
Execution…Done without further ado as the victim condition may grow worse by second. “Assassin class, Temporal Lapse and Fatal Strike” no need for mercy to those without one. Zyca finish with his stab to the torso
“uh…” as the Blood borne falls, it look toward Zyca “what…are you?” he muttered those as his life energy beginning to decline with Zyca’s Essence Drain and the wound he took.
“I…am beyond what I am capable to imagine, yet as of now I am ‘just’ a young simple aspiring adventurer looking for fame” he said the precise role I told him.
He grab the dying flesh of monster and look upon its dying eyes “tell me, why you invade this human frontier city” now the questioning begin ‘Mind Pry’ activated “no need to talk” and ends.
He snapped the beast neck to weaken its neck structure and slice off its head easily, stabbed on its torso again and on same spot, its beast core or Heart.
“I now understand…the shadow lord are about to be awoken and a vile piece of work for my first hunt” he smiled maliciously “how vexing”

Gray's Crucible
“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
