Erdan’s felt he was strapped into a bed, he heard some noises wood scratching the ground.
The pain in his chest was too much to bear, he felt like boiling lava hit him. His countenance was pale like a sheet of paper, looking at his chest, he saw bandages around it.
“You finally woke-up”
He looked to the voice’s direction and saw his master standing beside him.
Nevertheless, even more strangely, was that there was some other people near them.
“Where are we? And who are they?” Erdan asked with a hint of worry in his voice.
“Don’t worry; you’ll have a big surprise this time. Just let me call her.” Samuel turned and went somewhere.
Erdan looked up and saw that he was in a stretcher, and the one pulling him was Jinn.
“Hey buddy, good to see you awaken” Said Jinn showing a pleasant smile.
“For how long have I been unconscious? And who are those people?” Erdan asked
“Well, it’s been almost a week since you fainted, the wound in your chest was truly grievous. We thought that you would die. The energy in your body helped you healing faster, but not fat enough. So, we decided to head to the hospital as fast as possible.” Jinn said.
“So?? What happened?” Asked Erdan wondering what happened.
“Obviously, you’re alive, Master and I got to the hospital in time. And we helped the suvirvors that were there evacuate to the suburbs. Oh, by the way….” Just before Jinn completed the phrase, Samuel arrived with Janessa.
“Erdan, you’re finally awaken” Said Janessa while running in his direction and hugging him.
“you scared the hell out of me, don’t do this again!” Said her while pinching his cheek.
“What did I do?” Asked Erdan with a lost appearance.

“Arriving all bloodied in the hospital. If you were just a little bit late, you would have died.” Said her with a hint of sadness in her eyes.
“Oh, don’t worry, it was an accident, it won’t happen again.” Erdan knew that he couldn’t be careless again, this time, it almost took his life. The next, maybe he would die. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, Erdan felt a cold shiver through his body. He vowed to never slack off in a fight again.
After having a quick conversation with his aunt, Erdan got to know that he was out for almost 3 days, they were heading in his master dojo’s direction now, it was located in the suburbs and far enough so that the monsters didn’t attack them. Or so they hoped.
While laid on the stretcher, He began to feel his body, and the energy coursing through it, and heading to his chest to help him heal. He felt the seeds that were in his pants. The connection was still there, but he felt that it was weaker. He supposed that if he separated from them long enough, the connection would cease to exist.
His sickle was being carried by Jinn. It was enveloped in a black fabric. He felt the urge to practice his powers with it, but for now it was not possible.
After traveling for two more days, they finally were near the dojo.
Inicialy, Erdan thought that it would be quicker, but he realized that with a huge group (now composed of 27 people), it was harder to travel. The group was composed of 12 hospital staff, with three doctors and 9 nurses, between them was Janessa, who was a doctor, and Jinn’s mother Diana, who was a nurse. 5 security staff and 10 normal people that survived together in the hospital.

According to what his aunt told him, it was a total chaos in the hospital in the day of the rupture. Janessa and Diana were about to begin a surgery and were in the bathroom, washing and disinfecting their hands when everything happened, they fainted and after waking up, the chaos began, luckily, the bathroom was located near the security room, and they got rescued by the guards. Moreover, even more strangely, the man that they were supposed to make the surgery got better after the Rupture and helped them.
“We finally arrived.” murmured Erdan seing the dojo entrance in the distance.
