“You want to go to a what?”

Hanson was staring at his sister with a look of disgust on his face. She cared too much for weird shit.

“A viola concert, dumbass,” she replied. “You know what a viola is?”

“An instrument?”

“Duh. Do you know what type of instrument it is?”

“Uh...some kind of horn?”

“Ha, as I thought, your taste is just as basic as I thought,” Honey said, shaking her head in disappointment. “A complete plebian to the arts. Of course, I’m not sure what I’d expect with a simpleton like yourself.”

“Oh, I’m the simpleton then? This viola concert you’re going to, what’s your favorite song?”

“Ugh…”

Despite all the grandstanding and big talk, Honey actually had no idea anything about classical music. Hanson couldn’t call her out on it, but his sister was actually completely misinformed on the subject. For instance, she was calling it a viola, even though it was actually going to be violin.

She wasn’t going to say it out loud, but there was a very specific reason Honey wanted to go to the violin concert.

Was it a good reason?

No, not really.

Yesterday, when she had been out on the town, she had stumbled across a poster for a concert by a man named Loren Dames. Apparently, while normal violin concerts were pretty expensive, this one was rather cheap, and had special accomodations for people who couldn’t spend a lot on tickets. But that wasn’t what got her attention.

The man, Loren Dames, was pictured on the poster, posing without a shirt on.

He was incredibly handsome, and exactly the type of guy Honey was into. In that moment, the devious part of her mind sprung into action, and she decided to go. It’d be easy to sneak backstage, and if she did that, she could meet this Loren guy. After that, with a little bit of spore magic, she could convince him to be a boy toy and steal a bunch of money from him.

As she recalled all of that, in the moment she was talking with Hanson, she couldn’t help but smile greedily to herself. That answered any question Hanson could want answered.

“Whatever,” he said, going back to his coloring book. “Enjoy the concert.”

“Oh, don’t worry. I will.”

She already had the ticket, and she already had a plan. The only thing she needed to do now was wait until the concert happened.
