《Unfinished Works》“Dark Confinement”

You wake up in an unnamed cell, your head aches, bad. You look around at your surroundings, they’re bland. A toilet, a sink,a prison-like bed, and a table that protrudes out of the wall. The air feels moist and smells like vomit, you gag as you breathe in, trying to make sense of it all. Your thoughts are pushed aside as a sound echoes from down the hall, you barely heard it. You try to get yourself off of the bed, but fail because you’re fatigued. You take a moment to think, but then that opens up a whole lot of questions to you that you weren’t thinking of before. Where am I? What did I do to end up here?.. Who am I?
You start to panic because you realise that you forgot who you are, you start thinking of past memories, but none come. You close your eyes, just wanting this to be a bad dream..
The next time you open them you’re still in that same cell, with the same toilet, sink, and bed. But this time, you see a paper on the desk next to you. You go to pick it up without even realising that you can move around without feeling like there’s lead in your veins, once it’s in your hands you inspect it. It has a logo in the top right corner, it looks like a circle with three prongs sticking out and going towards the center of the circle. Some words next to it are also visible “Secure. Contain. Protect.”
After trying to remember if you seen the logo anywhere else you notice that there’s a lot of other writing on the paper itself. There’s a big box on the bottom, It’s blacked out so you don’t understand what it means, but you see a description above.

Weight - 68kg
Height - 1.77m
Sex - ???
There was a lot more information along with it, but you assume that it was a description of you. Now that you’ve woken up, you take another look around, nothing seemed to have changed. The door, still barely ajar, also has the exact same logo as the paper you just read. The circle with the three prongs going into the center. You stand up straight, first looking at the toilet. It’s clean, and then the faucet, also rather clean. Upon looking further at the table, you find a small 9V battery, you tuck it into your pants pocket and prepare to go out into the hallway.
You pry the door open and it opens with a rough sound of metal against metal, you worry about the amount of sound it makes but you do it anyway. After opening it you see where you are, a hallway with identical rooms going up and down the corridor. You look down each way and see a door on one side open at the end of the hallway. You start walking down it but as you start walking you hear a faint noise of a door opening, You hide in one of the empty rooms (presumably owned by someone exactly like you) and wait for the sound to stop. It does, and you begin to walk down the corridor, trying to figure out where you are.
After arriving at the doorway, you look around inside of the room, it’s big, and has three identical doors. You assume that they all lead down different hallways, you pick the door going straight.
Upon entering the doorway you see a door labeled “Armoury”
As you enter you see shelves and shelves of items. You pick up a red card, upon inspecting it you see a “2” on the upper right side, You slide it into your pocket. You also see a 5 dollar bill, you take that too.

That is all that was left in the armoury, you see another door, but it’s locked. You try the keycard and it opens the door. Inside is a wall with monitors, all off. And a button labelled “release” you press it and hear a small door slowly open. Then a screen comes on and you can see a small glass case with a gas mask inside of it. Assuming that that’s all there was inside, you leave the room once more.

Andur's Oneshot collection
This is just a Oneshot Collection with story ideas. I'll add stories when I get the inspiration. Eventually, I'll turn them into full stories. ——————————————————————————————— Reading Order of the Multiverse-Books ——————————————————————————————— Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it, or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. Crystal Heart
When a heart of flesh is not enough. My ancestors passed down a heart disease to my grandfather, who in turn passed it down to my father and to me. It's not really a disease that makes one sick, we just live shorter. This disease should, theoretically, die out since it shortens our lifespan. How it is alive to this day is beyond me. If I was a normal girl, I wouldn't care much for my faulty heart. I wouldn't even know I had one in the first place. But I am not a normal little girl, no. I do not aim for the simple or the easy life. I want to tread where no one has been before, and discover what the ebb of time has mercilessly washed into the darkest corners of our civilization. This is my adventure.

Along for the Ride
Every child born on the continent of West Cartia is taught about the Great Goblin War but what the annals of history fail to mention is that the entirety of the conflict could be traced back to a group of four friends who stumbled into the currents of fate in search of a fantasy novel. This is the story of how a band of bookworms realized that when destiny pulled hard enough, struggling was futile; it was best to relax and go along for the ride. "A breezy, good time with all the trappings of high fantasy fun." - someone eventually (hopefully)

Modded Skyr*m: Real Life Edition
It seems that I died while I was playing VR Skyr*m. The next thing I knew, I was standing in front of the middle-aged man who called himself The Overlord of Dremora and Dragons. He told me they were releasing Skyr*m: Real-Life Edition. However, you have to be dead first to play it, and I was chosen as a 'beta tester' of sorts. I found myself in a semi-realistic (thanks to mods) world, and I want to have fun and relax for the rest of my life, and maybe get back to Earth. There's just a small *RAWR* problem. Setting: This happens within the world in The Legend of the Fake Hero, specifically two arcs from now. About: I am writing this for fun as a side project. I intend this to be semi-interactive as I will have polls where readers can influence the book's direction. I have the final say because I believe that too many cooks in the kitchen are not a good thing. The plan is to write it in parts that are around 1-2k words. Typically around every 3 to 6 parts, they will be combined into a finalized chapter and re-edited for a smoother read. Release schedule: When I feel like it. I'll be more inclined to write if there is more interaction, both in comments and polls, towards the story. However, I will be focusing on The Legend of the Fake Hero because that is something I own entirely and enjoy. I will try to do consistent uploads. Disclaimer: This work falls under fair use as it is a partial parity, does not affect the value of the original work, is an original story within the setting (within my setting), and is not being sold. All IP belongs to their respective owners (including myself). Currently uploading on Scribble Hub and Royal Road under the same username.
