I walked over to my left towards the black hair guy he smiled brightly as he took my hand and walked me towards the dance floor, he pulled me close as I rested one of my hands on his shoulder. He leaned in close to my ear smiling.
“I have no clue how to dance” He whispered and I laughed quietly.
“It's ok me either,” I said as we both watched our feet slightly as we danced in our little area.
“I wasn't kidding earlier… When I said you looked lovely” I could feel my cheeks grow hotter I don't know if it was from the dancing or from him.
“Thank you,” I said quietly, smiling the song started to quiet down as it came to an end and I pulled away from him.
“I didn't think dancing would be so tiring,” He said laughing.
“Would you like to take a break”
“Yes please,” He said with a quiet laugh and we started walking outside. I leaned against the railing of the porch looking at him.
“I'm Noah by the way,” he said smiling.
“I'm Alison”
“That's a pretty name” My face got redder and I looked down at the ground then back up to him.
“You know for a guy who can't dance you were very good”
“Ok I may have exaggerated when I said I couldn't dance”
“Well, I, on the other hand, have absolutely no idea how to dance” I laughed quietly and turned facing the yard.
“You would think I would know you, from that fire red hair”
“I always wanted to stand out from the crowd, a year ago I decided to dye my hair red, my father didn't approve” He took a step closer to my and as I faced him he moved a stray hair away from my face.

“I think it suits you” He smiled at me once more his eyes sparkling but before I could say anything else his phone went off.
“Shoot just give me one moment” He walked away and back inside weaving his way through the crowd a sigh escaped my lips and I turned back around facing the yard.
“Alison. Right?” I look behind me and there was the Blonde hair douche from earlier.
“What do you want?”
“I…. I just wanted to say sorry I was an ass earlier.” He shifted his weight from his left foot to his right then back to his left.
“That word only begins to describe it”
“Look I'm just… I just wanted to apologize” A shiver ran through my body and wrapped my hands around my arms.
“Are you cold?” He started moving towards my=e taking off his jacket.
“N-no Im..” He wrapped his jacket around me then stepped back a few feet.
“Have a good night” He smiled that was the first I saw a genuine smile out of him, he turned around and walked back into the party.
The jacket protected me from the night air as I waited for Noah to return and as if my fairy godmother heard me he came back outside through the crowd.
“Sorry about that” He chuckled and looked at me than the jacket without saying anything.
“Thank you so much, Alison this has been an incredible night.” My face heated up once again as he took a step closer to me.
“You made this night so great” My heart beat a little louder the closer he stood. I looked up at him his face so close to mine. He whispered so quietly to where it barely was a whispered compared to the music from inside the house.
“C-can I kiss you?”
