We’re still recovering from this immense feeling of loss, and Teal is changing the topic to.. Marriage prediction?
I don’t… want to think about that.
Not now, and… I don’t know when.
I take another deep breath, and try to calm down. Gently, I take her hand, and squeeze it for reassurance.
“I’m sorry. I just… all this…”
Teal squeezes my hand back, and shakes her head. “It’s… fine. I know.”
I sigh.
“I don’t think it would be a successful marriage prediction, you know. With two cards.” I take her card, and hold it together with mine. “So? Pick one.”
That makes her crack a smile. “I-I don’t know, like… one’s a devil, the other one’s… literally a hermit. Like, I-I… I don’t know, man.”
“Just pick.” I chuckle.
“Then I want the Hermit, since I picked it just now.” She laughs gently. “Come to me, the Hermit!”
“And come to me, the Devil...!”
We share a laugh, but it is cut short.
I hear whispers, calling out my name. Of a young voice; masculine. “My liege,” it then seems to call. “I am awake.”
The whispers are quiet, but they start to get louder and louder. Teal’s widening eyes tell me she’s hearing the same thing. I tighten my grip on her hand, and she does the same. I can feel her trembling… and I wonder what she can feel from me.
Fear?
I don’t even know if I feel fear today.
I don’t even know if I can feel today.
The whispers get louder. It’s almost deafening now. I almost want to cover my ears, but I don’t want to let go of Teal’s hand…
As if on cue, she tightens her grip on me even more.
“My liege,” the whispers are now shouts.

“My liege!
My liege!
My liege...!”
Simultaneously, Teal and I drop the tarot cards from our hands.
And as soon as they hit the ground, two forms begin to appear. One appears larger, muscular. The other, small and petite.
Before we even get the full picture of the two, Teal turns to me,
“I call the beef.”
And that’s that, I guess.
A moment passes, the light changes - and suddenly, there are two men in our living room.
One, a petite boy with demon wings,
and the other, a muscular man with a television for a head.
Another moment. Teal points at television screen.
“Yes.”

The book of forever
An experimental diary of sorts recounting my life and experiences, written as a slightly whimsical scifi story about setting off from the past to unknown lands, rebuilding from nothing and finding myself again. The first section of the book contains matched chapters, a chapter for a interlude, both happening at the same time roughly The second section of the book contains more one off stories as we follow one of the travelers explore their heart as well as a unknown land, growing in the process. All of the text here was written in 10 syllable chunks, this reads like a epic of sorts, just with more philosophical focus and POV jumps. Hope you enjoy! >Updates may be sporadic as I only write when I have something about myself I want to share The chapters can all be read individually, although there may be some crossovers between them they work as single poems. You start at whatever chapter you want since these are a collection of roughly connected poems (although you'll notice tie ins and references to eachother)

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
