《[Kengkla x Techno] Unfinished Business (Love by Chance Fanfic)》Chapter 5 - Part 1
Advertisement
Kengkla leaves Techno in the living room while he changes. He'd like to take Techno to his room, carry him up the stairs, toss him in his bed, and ravage him. But he knows such an action would be hard-won at best and frighten Techno away at worst. Plus, he was well sated for the day. As he strips off his clothes, Kengkla notices the fabric still smells like Techno. It's everywhere, clinging to Kengkla's shirt, and he sniffs the fabric of his collar. He can't find the source, doesn't have time, so he tosses his clothes into a hamper at the end of his bed and strides toward the closet.
Though he should be embarrassed from coming in his pants like a teenager, Kengkla feels practically no shame. He held himself back from jumping Techno the minute he entered his home and instead allowed Techno to feel relaxed and at ease. It was difficult, but Techno made it easy once he mentioned Kengkla's parents, a subject he doesn't enjoy speaking about. Then Techno fell asleep, which Kengkla didn't expect it at all. But when the prey is defenseless, there's no better time for the predator to attack.
He pauses for a moment in a state of undress, heart pounding in his chest as he vividly remembers Techno's face at the height of pleasure, Kengkla wishes he could forever savor the memory of Techno's shadowed eyes, of his cracking voice, and his desperate pleas forever. Kengkla smiles to himself and pulls out a clean pair of pants and boxers. He slips on a pair of trousers and a clean buttoned shirt that complete his innocent, adolescent look. With what just happened, he feels the need to reinstate the image he's so carefully crafted for his senior. Part of him dreads the idea of keeping up the act all weekend, but it's gone so well for him in the past, especially today.
Whatever irritation rising in the back of his thoughts is undone as soon as it forms by his self-satisfaction. In reality, Kengkla knows the most difficult part is fooling Techno's peers, and this will surely be put to the test at the beach. As the reminder sparks in his mind, Kengkla fishes his phone from where it fell on the floor and hits call when he finds Technic's name. He's only a bit surprised when the other answers after two rings.

"What is it, Ai' Kla?"
It's quiet in the background. "Ai' Nic, I need your help again," Kengkla tells him.
Technic groans. "Again?" He repeats. "Haven't I helped you enough today?"
"You know I always pay you generously," Kengkla replies and walks toward the door of his room. "How about a weekend stay at a luxury resort?"
There's brief silence. "What do you want then?" Technic gives in.
Kengkla peers down the hallway, checking for any sign of Techno. Once he knows the other isn't wandering around, he smiles and says, "Come with me on P'No's trip. I convinced him to take me."
He expects Technic to put up a fight, but Kengkla needs him. If Kengkla wants to spend any alone time with Techno, or convince him to do do something, Technic is a great distraction and the perfect right-hand man. "All right. Fine, I'll go, " Technic answers, surprising Kengkla. "When is it again?"
"They're leaving tonight. P'No's friend texted him to meet in a half hour, so you need to leave now," Kengla explains and pulls the phone away from his face to check the time briefly.
"Tonight?" Technic moans then sighs. "You're just lucky I'm free. Text me the address."
"Don't be late, Ai' Nic, and bring me some clothes," He orders but doesn't give Technic a chance to reply before hanging up.
Until Techno gives him a reason to feel secure, Kengkla will do whatever it takes to get Techno to trust him. Whether he should trust Kengkla or not isn't his concern.
...
Techno's still in the living room when Kengkla returns to the first floor, quietly walking down the stairs to avoid being heard. There was a chance Techno was going to escape and run home, but in reality, Techno was too nice to ditch Kengkla. This only makes Techno that much more attractive in Kengkla's eyes.
At the bottom of the stairs, Kengkla stops and watches Techno from where the other can't see him. Still sitting on the couch, Techno seems a bit tense as he runs his hands through his disheveled hair. He looks absolutely delicious in this state. Kengkla can't help himself and stalks behind the back of the couch, stopping right behind Techno.

His arms wrap around Techno's shoulders from behind, and Techno stiffens up immediately, letting out a startled noise that sounds like, "Fuck." He turns his head to the side, glancing over his shoulder to meet Kengkla's gaze. Techno's eyes are wide and mouth open, but he's not pulling away.
"Sorry, P'No," Kengkla coos, fingers tensing around the soft material of Techno's hoodie. He must've slipped the sweater back on when Kengkla was away. "Did I scare you?"
"No. No, you're okay," Techno laughs, but his darting eyes suggests otherwise.."Ai' Kla, d-do you really want to go with me on this trip? It's going to be a bunch of annoying footballers who probably want to spend the entire time drinking and being idiots, you know?"
That's exactly why I need to go, Kengkla's mind provides him. But he cooly masks his reaction with a pout and leans forward to place his chin on Techno's shoulder. "P'No, you said I could go," Kengkla whines, shaking Techno around his shoulders. It's an awkward angle to lean over the couch, but Kengkla stays where he is and maintains his hold around Techno.
He watches Techno bite his lip. "Uh, I know, Ai' Kla. I just thought...maybe you'd change your mind," Techno says but the last statement is under his breath, and Kengkla can see the motion of the Techno's throat when he swallows.
"I want to go, P'. I'm excited to meet your friends," Kengkla says, adding cheer to his voice despite the lie in the latter statement. Then he pulls at the neck of Techno' hoodie until he can see faint bruised-in color. He licks his lips and tilts his head to press his mouth to Techno's skin, but there are hands wrapping around his own, prying his fingers from Techno's sweater. Kengkla's mouth opens, and he steps back as Techno jerks from his grasp.
"Hey!" Techno's standing up off the couch and turning around to face Kengkla, blushing crimson all over his cheeks. Kengkla plays innocent and stares at him, blinking. Techno lets out a sigh and mutters, "I guess I can't talk you out of it," then clears his throat. "We should get going then." He looks around Kengkla's living room then pinches the bridge of his nose. "Shit," He curses. "I don't have my stuff for the trip. But if we stop at my house then we won't make it on time. Fuck."
Kengkla nods his head and smiles. "It's okay, P'No," He offers. "Ai' Nic can bring your bag."
This gets him a look of shock on Techno's face when he meets Kengkla's gaze. "Ai' Nic?"
"Sorry, P'No. I invited him to join us because I was nervous being with your friends," Kengkla pleads, looking down at the floor in mock shame. "I'm sorry."
Techno groans. "I can't get away from my brother for one damn weekend," He mutters, but Kengkla doesn't respond, hiding his smile with his head bowed. "What's done is done though, huh?" Kengkla looks up at this. "It's fine, Ai' Kla."
Kengkla mutters a soft, "If you're sure," and holds back his smile.
"Let's just go then. I guess," Techno sighs. He makes a noise of frustration and strides toward the front door past Kengkla.
Kengkla doesn't ask if Techno wants to be away from him for one weekend too. He doesn't really want the answer.

A/N: After reading some translated chapters of the original novel, I realized my versions of them are slightly different and better fit the tv version. So if you ever read the novel, remember that I'm going off the tv canon characters. ㅠㅠ
I will randomly insert some aspects of the novel in my story too. For example, Kengkla's family are rich pharmaceutical business people who fight and ignore him. (wow shocking that he's a bit crazy)
Thank you all so much for the comments and commentary as always <3
Also I may be changing my username for various reasons, so do not get confused if this is published under another name!

Bright Feather
I'd like to say something like this is a unique story, blah-blah, but it's not. The story itself is your typical fantasy story with magic, fightings, plot armors, good friends, beautiful ladies and whatever there always is in such stories. I pretty much enjoy typical stories. So I've decided to write one myself. The only thing is the story isn't going to be centered about the Main Character. So let's leave all of the above to him, we'll meet him eventually anyway. This is the story of MC's counterpart. While our greatest Main Character conquers the world, cultivates, and whatever else, what does his destined other half do? Sit and stoically wait for him to come out of the closed door cultivation? Really now... Just thought it might be interesting to write such a story. Let's see if I manage. I'm new to this so, dear readers, please, don't be harsh on me. But if you have some words for me, so I can improve, don't keep them to yourselves, all help is deeply appreciated. And I officially promise to be very slow and inconsistent with releases (myriads reasons for this.) But I'll still do my best to finish the story someday. WARNINGS! (I thought a lot, and in the end, I'm putting it here. Better safe than sorry.) First of all, you can probably easily guess, but English is not my native language. And everything that comes with it. I don't think that it excuses me though, so I will improve with time, but warning you nevertheless. Second: No harem, no BL, no Romance And the last but not least: Beware of psychological pressure on characters and characters' deaths. Not much, in my opinion, but still, if you're overly sensitive to violence or mind games, better drop before starting. In any case, you've been warned. With all the above said, welcome, and enjoy.
