《[Kengkla x Techno] Unfinished Business (Love by Chance Fanfic)》Chapter 5 - Part 2

"Shit, I hope we don't miss the bus," Techno mutters, walking so quickly that's Kengkla is skipping steps to keep up with Techno's longer stride. "Ai' Nic better show up, or damn Ai' Type will make us leave without him."
"It's okay, P'No. Ai' Nic said he'd be here. I texted him earlier," Kengkla says and glances at Techno at his side. Techno's brows are drawn together, mouth tense on a frown. "Don't worry." He's been tense since the ride over. Kengkla could feel it in the way Techno's shoulders stiffened during the ride, how he kept as far away from Kengkla as possible, and the speed he jumped off the bike. Still, it was an enjoyable ride for Kengkla, and there was nothing like wrapping his arms around Techno, the warmth of his skin enough to feel even through the layers of fabric.
Techno hums some sound of acknowledgment, pulling Kengkla from his thoughts. "I'm sure Ai' Type is gonna' love that I'm bringing two high schoolers," he says, sounding annoyed and not at all thrilled as Kengkla would prefer him to be. "Oi, I'm never gonna' here the end of it."
Kengkla can feel his jaw tighten in irritation at Type's name but tries not to let it show."P' No, I'm sorry," Kengkla says slowly, and Techno turns his head to look at Kengkla, confusion flashing over his face
"What for, Ai' Kla?" Techno asks, his voice regaining some of the cheer Kengkla prefers. Kengkla's head snaps up at this and a smile returns to his face. He reaches out and braces a hand at Techno's shoulder to cut off his walk. When Techno stops and looks up to meet his gaze, Kengkla draws his hand back.
There's a pleading look in Techno's eyes that doesn't match his smile. It's almost as if he's more serious than his jesting tone suggests. Kengkla can feel his blood go hot. "I just want some alone time with P'No," Kengkla tells him. "But I'm sorry for making you take responsibility for me this weekend. I can always call Ai' Nic and cancel."
He reaches in his pocket to get his phone — with no real intention of canceling — when Techno reaches out to grab his arm, and Kengkla glances up at him, breath catching his throat. It's a rare occurrence for Techno to touch him first, so he's not surprised when Techno pulls away quickly, offering him a forced smile. "No, Ai' Kla," He tells Kengkla. "I mean — you're already here, and Ai' Nic's bringing my bag. So, you can just go."

"I'm so happy to hear that, P'No!" Keengkla cries out with a smile and leans in closer to Techno who stares down at him while taking a step away. Techno's watching him with wide eyes; the fixed line of his mouth says he's completely focused on Kengkla's movements. He has his prey's complete attention. "You want me to go too, right?" Kengkla asks and frowns, furrowing his brow to complete his innocent look.
"Uh," Techno draws the word long and scratches his arm, darting his gaze away. But before he can answer, there's a voice, a high chirp of "P'No!" before someone — Kengkla remembers him as Techno's junior — catapults into Techno.
Kengkla takes a step backward in reflexive retreat, but Techno doesn't move, doesn't even seem particularly fazed by this sudden attack. Techno actually starts smiling as the shorter male hangs on his arm, pulling on Techno until his shoulder sags. "Ai' Can," Techno says, eyes darting to Kengkla quickly then back to Can. "What are you doing here?"
"We're...on our way...to the bus stop," comes another voice, slower and steadier. When Kengkla blinks away from the shorter boy still squeezing affection into Techno's arm, there's another stranger approaching.
"Ai' Good?" Techno asks then laughs at Can who keeps pulling on his arm.
Good is taller than Can, his shoulders slumped in disinterest, and his body relaxed beyond the gym bag in his hand. His eyes look tired and bored, but Techno turns to him with a smile, trying to shake Can off his arm. "Ai' Can, let P'No go," Techno chuckles, eyes closed, and teeth bared in a wide smile.
There's pressure in Kengkla's chest at the sight and Techno's words. He spoke so sweetly to Can, and a knot forms inside Kengkla's ribs, twisting his stomach sick and sour with jealousy. Can juts his lip out to pout but let's go of Techno's arm, taking a step back to stand beside him, and Kengkla feels his chest ease, only slightly
"For the trip, P'No! You're coming, right? P'Type said you're coming! You can't bail on us now," Can whines loudly, finally taking a step back.
Techno smiles at Can. "Yes, I'm coming, you little monkey," He laughs with comfortable familiarity, and something twists in Kengkla's gut. "Why else would we be walking to the bus stop? Are you blind, Ai' Can? Or did you get hit in the head with a ball again?"
"P', that was one time!" Can shouts back, sounding shocked and offended at the same time. "And that was all because of — nevermind, I'm alert now more than I have ever been!"

"More alert than ever? Shit, Ai' Can, you're already too alert at this level of alert, " Techno teases, placing his hands on his hips. But Can and Good are looking at Kengkla now. Can looks surprised and curious while Good remains resigned, and Kengkla simply stares at them, trying to mask his annoyance with a fake smile.
"Swadee, P's," Kengkla addresses them with a wai in a quiet voice.
Can's eyes narrow into suspicion, but Kengkla doesn't look away, even when Can takes a step closer to him. "Who's this, P'No? This isn't Ai' Nic, right? Is this your friend?" Can asks as if there's no weight to his relationship with Techno at all.
Kengkla can feel his irritation rising and brings one hand behind his back so he can make a fist. "I'm Nic. This is Ai' Kla," another voice says that brings Kengkla's attention away from Can to where Technic is approaching with two duffle bags in his hands. "Swadee, P's." He bows to Can and Good then walks up to Techno and drops one bag in front of him. "Here's your bag, P'No. You should stop forgetting things at home all the time. You're lucky Ai' Kla is so smart and called me."
"Don't scold me, Ai' Nic. I'm your older brother," Techno snaps. He then looks down at the bag, color rising to his cheeks that makes Kengkla grin. "It's only because I'm so busy being captain and all."
Kengkla glances over at Technic and nods his head as a greeting then turns back to Can who's glaring at him "Ai' Kla? Ai' Nic? What are they doing here? Who are they again? Why am I so left out?" He rants, voice skidding higher with each word.
Good shrugs, a lift of his shoulders that says whatever more than words and walks in the direction of the bus stop. But Can't doesn't follow, waiting for a response, and Techno grabs his bag from the floor, letting out a sigh when he picks it up. "I invited them?" He says but sounds more like a question. "Ai' Nic is my brother. I've mentioned him, Ai' Can. Try listening for once."
Can huffs. "I do listen. You just say a lot of things. I can't listen to them all!"
"Ai' Kla is my friend from school," Technic answers calmly.
"P'No invited us on the trip." Kengkla adds, and there's a bite on the words that he doesn't bother to strip off. Techno is silent, biting his lip and looking over his shoulder, apparently content to let Kengkla and Technic explain.
"Invited you?" Can asks slowly, looking between Techno and the two of them. Kengkla's skin goes cold, thinking for a moment he's been caught. "Why don't you invite me to things, P'No?" But Can's apparently not that clever.
Techno sighs. "You're going too, aren't you?" He asks, reaching out to place his free hand on Can's shoulder, shoving at him until Can turns around. "Let's go, Ai' Can. You can ask a million questions on the bus."
As Can begins ranting once more, Techno nods his head, telling him to calm down, while they walk in the direction Good left earlier. When Techno doesn't wait for him to catch up, Kengkla feels his chest clench. "This is going to be a long trip," Technic sighs next to him and shakes his head.
Kengkla hums an agreement. "I don't like this P'Can," He whispers, rubbing his chin in thought. "We need to work on separating him and P'No on the trip."
"Somehow I knew you'd say that," Technic mutters, patting Kengkla's back. "Come on." He begins walking after Techno and Can toward the bus stop, and Kengkla follows in stride with Technic but maintains distance behind Techno.
"How did you end up getting invited, Ai' Kla?" He hears Technic whisper, and Kengkla leans in to Technic so there's no chance of eavesdropping. "A good husband knows how to get his wife to say whatever he wants," Kengkla purrs before pulling away with a smirk.
The look on Technic's face is one of shock and disgust. Kengkla laughs as they approach Techno standing with Good and Can at the bus stop. The sound must catch Techno's attention because he turns to look at Kengkla with curious eyes, mouth parted slightly. But he looks away at the sound of someone approaching, and Kengkla follows his gaze to two boys approaching with backpacks. It only takes him a second to remember the Type's face, and he offers a fake smile to the senior and his friend.
"Swadee, P's," Kengkla and Technic greet in unison, but Can doesn't wai to Type and Champ, standing up and approaching them with a frown.
