《[Kengkla x Techno] Unfinished Business (Love by Chance Fanfic)》Chapter 3 - Part 2

It's not difficult to find Techno in the mall. Despite the wide variety of shops, there's only one place he's likely to visit. Kengkla wastes no time heading to the sports clothing store, dragging Technic in tow. He complained the entire way, but Kengkla kept insisting he had a plan.
The first step was approaching Techno who's easy to spot in the back of the store, even from where Kengkla stands near the front. But Kengkla's never had any problems finding Techno when he wanted. Techno's taller than most of his friends, and with the lighter shade of his hair, he stands out among others, especially when he wears a bright red hoodie like today.
But besides all these factors, the person next to Techno is unmistakable with his height and build, even at a distance. Kengkla doesn't know Type too well, just knows his name and that they're on the same team, but he plans to learn everything he can about the person who's becoming his constant obstacle.
"There they are," Technic says needlessly from behind Kengkla.
"I'm waiting until he's alone," Kengkla reminds him without looking away from Techno.
Technic doesn't reply for a moment, and Kengkla draws his gaze from Techno to stare at him. Techni's flipping through a rack of tee shirts to look like he's shopping, but he's watching his brother too. "Doesn't look like that's happening any time soon," Technic declares airily, and Kengkla looks back at the pair.
Techno's in front of a clearance rack, browsing through the clothes, while Type stands at his side, drinking a cup of juice. It irritates Kengkla how close the other stands next to Techno, and the jealousy prickling under his skin only intensifies when Type puts his hand on Techno's shoulder. He says something close to his ear, which makes Techno laugh, and Kengkla almost abandons his plan, ready to explode, when the other begins to walk away.
"Finally," He hears Technic breath.
Kengkla's smile comes too easy for him to try to repress. "Don't leave yet, Ai' Nic," He hisses, turning to face Technic who immediately begins to frown. "I need you a little bit longer."
"Come on, Ai' Kla," Technic sighs, tossing his hair from his face and glaring at Kengkla.
"I'm paying you for this," Kengkla reminds him, patting Technic's back and stepping around him. "I think P'No's friend is coming back soon, so I need you just in case."

"What do you expect me to do? Beat him up?" Technic mumbles under his breath sarcastically and steps behind a display of pants.
The statement makes his chest knot uncomfortably, but Kengkla doesn't look at Technic again. He's too busy moving as fast as he can toward the back of the store. He's thinking about what to say as he approaches Techno.
But when he stops to stand just behind Techno, out of his peripheral view, he simply watches for a moment. Techno's looking at a track jacket, pulling out a tag from the inside. He heaves a dramatic sigh but plucks it off the rack anyway.
"You'd look good in that, P'No," Kengkla says with the best purring of flirtation he can manage.
Techno visibly jumps, losing his grip on the hanger before fumbling to catch it. As he turns around to face Kengkla, Techno's staring at him with wide eyes. "Ai' Kla," He breathes, tone implying shock and voice breaking on emotion. "What're you doing here?"
Kengkla can't answer for a moment. He's too stunned by Techno's expression. He wonders how everyone else is so blind not to notice Techno. He takes a breath and tries to conceal his expression, smiling what he thinks is sweet. "Ai' Nic said he wanted to go to the mall," He answers, taking a step forward.
"Ai' Nic said that?" Techno gasps, tightening his grip around the hanger.
"Well, Ai'Nic didn't tell me you'd be at the mall too," Kengkla adds quickly, trying to muster up a lie. "I really didn't think we'd run into you, P''No. But I'm glad we did." Techno's still staring with confusion at him, so Kengkla walks forward until he's standing only a few feet away. "Aren't you happy I'm here?" His voice goes dark with the sincerity and danger behind it.
Techno's still staring at Kengkla, mouth half-open, and Kengkla has never wanted him more. But then Techno's gaze wavers to behind him, and Kengkla's shoulders stiffen in instinctive response, expecting it to be Type coming back. But when he glances over his shoulder, it's Technic approaching instead. He turns a bit to the side so he's facing both of them.
"Hey, P'No," Technic greets, sounding out of breath.
"Ai' Nic?" Techno questions and looks at Kengkla then back to his brother. "You really followed me to the mall?"

"That's what I was going to ask."
The voice comes from over Kengkla's shoulder. He looks back at Type standing behind him, sucking on his straw as if they're having a pleasant chat instead of the interrogation it's becoming. But before Kengkla or Technic can answer, Type walks between them to stand behind Techno, shoulder brushing Kengkla's as he passes.
Kengkla's heart starts pounding. He has to resist gritting his teeth. Type's too smart for his own good. It's dangerous to have him around, he thinks to himself. Trying to conceal his emotions, he puts his hands together in a waing motion and bows to Type. Technic does the same after Kengkla shoots him a glare. "Sawadee, P," They say in unison.
Type doesn't wai back, nodding at them instead. "You called Ai' No earlier, right?" He asks Technic, and it must be a rhetorical question because he adds, "Did you follow him here or what?"
There's another pause. Kengkla feels like it's forever with the thud of his heart. He wants Type to go away, hiding his fingers curled into fists in his hoodie. Techno isn't even looking at him, waiting for Technic who takes a breath and shakes his head. "No, P'Type. I just wondered where he went since he seemed sick last night. And when he said the mall, I thought it was a good idea since it's so hot out," He explains as Kengkla tries to force himself not to smile.
They didn't even rehearse this. Technic's too good. But when Type turns to Techno, Kengkla fears they will be caught. "You felt sick? Is that why you didn't go out?" Type asks.
Techno scratches at his neck and looks away with what Kengkla thinks is an adorably confused expression. "Uh," He drawls. "Yeah, totally. Sorry, I was a bit embarrassed, you know?"
Type shakes his head and lets out a sigh. "You better not get everyone sick on the trip," He says. "Did you get-" He cuts himself off when a phone starts ringing. Reaching into his back pocket, Type pulls out his phone with his free hand and picks it up. "Hello?"
Kengkla can feel his shoulders stiffen at Type's words. His chest tightens, and his eyes flicker to Techno who avoids his gaze, staring at Type on the phone. "Oh, okay. I thought you said you had work," Type says to someone on the other line. "Okay, hold on." He glances at Kengkla and Technic then turns to Techno. "I'll be back."
As Type begins to walk away, Kengkla can feel his expression going tense on frustrated confusion. He waits until Type is far enough away to ask, "What trip?" Kengkla tries to keep his voice as calm as he can manage.
"Yeah, P'No. What trip?" Technic repeats.
"Uh, it's with the team..." Techno answers, trailing off. He's wandering away, steps taking him out of Kengkla's reach. "Since we're all on break, Type suggested we head to the beach, and uncle has that house we can use." His gaze wanders toward the back of the store, looking away from the duo. "Anyways, I'm gonna' go try this on. I'll see you later."
With a wave, Techno turns around and heads toward the dressing rooms in the back of the store. He walks away quickly before Kengkla can say a thing, and ducks behind wall blocking the rooms from the store.
"A trip?" Technic says abruptly, breaking the focus Kengkla has on Techno.
Kengkla sets his jaw. "We have to go," He says with urgency.
Technic huffs an exhale that is almost a laugh. "I knew you'd say that," He says and reaches up to pinch the bridge of his news. He lets out an annoyed noise then adds, "Can I go now? You can fill me in on this shit later."
He frowns as the dismissive disregard in Technic's words but nods anyway, handing him keys from his pocket.
"LINE me," Technic sighs and grabs Kengkla's keys from his hands before walking away.
Kengkla doesn't reply. With no sign of Type, he follows in Techno's trail to the dressing rooms, walking around the wall blocking the rest of the store.
...
A/N: Hope you all enjoyed it! :D Are you interested in this "trip" Techno is taking? Will Kengkla follow him? Is Type going to keep cockblocking?
