I lifted up my pillow and grabbed the dagger hidden underneath. I pushed it against my wrist drawing blood. I dragged it up my arm. I felt relief.

I heard a knock on my door. I pulled on a black hoodie and hod the dagger under my pillow. I ignored the warm liquid sliding down my arm, and opened the door.

"Hiya Percy!" Will said happily. I glared at him. "Did I wake you up?" He asked confused.

"What do you want Will? I'm a very busy demigod."

"Well, I'd like to point out you hardly leave your cabin," he stopped after seeing my glare. "But anyway. I came to personally invite you to hang out with me and Nico. You can bring Annabeth. It'd be just like a double date. You know... If you want to. I know you're Nico's best friend, so..." He trailed off and looked at me with a hopeful expression.

"Alright," I sighed. "When and where?"

"The beach on Saturday."

I remembered the warm trickle of blood sliding down my arm. "I-I can't go to the beach on Saturday. I'm going to... To visit my mom and Paul." I still hadn't told anyone about what happened to them except Nico.

"Um, okay," he said. "Well I guess we could see a movie or go out for dinner on Friday."

He is really persistent, I thought. "Fine, just not too early." I forced a smile. He laughed.

"Okay, bye Percy!" He began to run away. "See you later." He yelled still running. Probably to tell Nico the "good" news.

I shut the door and kicked it. I looked down at my arm and noticed the blood was beginning to reach my hand. I felt tears run down my face.
