《Saving Wisdom and Wizards || PJO x HP Crossover》Chapter 45: Third Line Down

~~~
Hermione walked towards the edge of their campsite, into the forest.
Percy plopped down onto the ground.
Picking up another rock, he skipped it against the dirt floor into the forest.
~~~
Percy continued chucking stones into the forest.
~~~
"Harry? Ron? What on earth is taking you two so long?" Hermione called.
"'Mione, we're right here." Harry popped out from behind a tree.
"Merlin, Harry! Don't do that."
Ron looked behind Hermione. "Where's Percy?"
"He's back at the camp."
"Alone!?"
"Yes, Ron, alone."
"But he doesn't have his powers. He could get hurt." Ron worried.
"He'll be fine. He doesn't need his powers or whatever to take care of himself."
Ron grumbled a reply, unheard by Harry and Hermione.
The trio continued to walk until they heard the snapping of twigs. Hermione put a finger to her lips as her, Harry, and Ron ducked behind a bush.
~~~
Percy felt uneasy.
He may have lost his powers, but Percy still had dam good instincts. Quietly, he grabbed his wand and checked his pocket for riptide and crept towards the woods, where he saw Hermione go off.
After walking for about ten minutes, Percy heard faint talking.
Hiding between trees, Percy poked his head out. He could see a group of dudes wearing black robes surrounding something. Death Eaters, Percy thought.
Before Percy could register what he saw, the group apparated away.
Percy ran over to where they were and noticed a drachma lying on the ground.
Hermione must've taken it from him.
Which meant that Hermione was here.
No doubt with Harry and Ron too.
Percy cursed and ran back to their campsite. He began to pack up essentials and throw them in his backpack. Percy knew who took them, but he had no idea where. And besides, even if he did, he knew he was going to need his Wise Girl's help.

Within seconds, Percy apparated himself just outside of Hogwarts.
Percy quietly ran to the front of the castle and snuck in. He had no intention on running into Umbridge or Snape.
As carefully as he could, Percy made his way towards the Gryffindor common room, where hopefully he could find Annabeth without being seen.
"Percy?"
Whipping around, Percy became face to face with Draco.
Rubbing the back of his neck, Percy said hi.
"It's good to see you," Draco said.
"What he said," Annabeth came from out behind him and ran to hug Percy. "Gods seaweed brain, I was worried."
"You were worried? I tried Iris Messaging you and-"
"- it wouldn't work. I know. I tried too. Something's going on with the gods."
"When is something not going on with them?" Percy joked.
"Fair point." Looking behind Percy, Annabeth became confused. "Where's Harry, Ron, and Hermione?"
"I don't know. That's why I came back. This group of black robed guys- uh Death Eaters, took them. I think to Malfoy Manner." Percy said, warily looking towards Draco.
"Sounds about right," Draco confirmed.
"Okay, wait." Percy held up his hands. "Did I miss something? Does Draco...?"
"Draco's on our side, yeah."
Percy's eyes widened, before he let out a sigh of relief. "Thank the gods."
"Excuse me?" Draco said.
"Hermione and I were talking about me losing my- uh, backpack- and we thought, uh..."
Annabeth covered her mouth to hide her laughter, as Draco pointed towards Percy's backpack. "That one?"
Percy stared at Annabeth wide eyed, until she burst out laughing. "Seaweed Brain, Draco knows."
"No, I know that but-"
"Like everything, Percy. He's on our side, in fact, he's the one who told me you lost your powers." Annabeth crossed her arms.

"Hey, that was not my fault."
"Oh really?"
"Well, I mean, maybe... no doesn't matter. Look, Hermione and I were talking about it, and we thought that the line: "One will lose what the other will gain" was referring to my powers, but now that Draco is on our side..."
"You think that's what it means?"
"Makes sense, though, right? I mean think about it: Voldemort loses a follower, Hogwarts gains an ally," Percy said.
Draco jumped in. "Then what about your powers?"
Annabeth had a thoughtful expression. "They might not even be related to this prophecy. Draco- you said that there was someone out to get Percy-"
"When is someone not out to get me?" Percy mumbled.
Draco tried to crack a joke. "Well, that's three lines down, right?"
Annabeth ignored him and continued, "Which means, that everything else going on, that's connected to this, yes, but it's a different prophecy."
Percy laughed. "Well that's just great. Haven't even finished one prophecy, and we're already in another. Okay, well, this whole 'not being myself' thing isn't working out for me, so I'm going to go figure it out," Percy said, as he started to walk away from Annabeth and Draco.
Annabeth turned to face Percy. "Percy Jackson, I swear to the gods if you do what I think you're going to do..." Annabeth threatened.
Percy turned around and put on an innocent expression. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
Annabeth glared. "Don't you dare."
"Dare what?" Percy asked. Annabeth fumed. "Look, Annabeth, don't worry, I won't do anything stupid, promise."
Annabeth raised an eyebrow and continued to glare. "Why don't I believe you?"
"I'm just going to ask around and see if anyone can come up with any solutions."
Annabeth's eyes widened as she realized what Percy was thinking. "Percy Jackson if you go to Nico, I swear to the gods that you will be dead before you even-"
"Love you Wise Girl! I'll be back before you know it." Percy yelled, as he ran out of Hogwarts. Once he was outside the boundary, he took a deep breath and apparated to Camp Half- Blood.
Annabeth fumed and began swearing. Draco couldn't understand any of it, but he knew for a fact that he was glad not to be on the receiving end of it.
"Come on."
"Where are we...?"
"We're going to get ready to deal with Percy's stupidly reckless idea." Annabeth said, marching towards McGonagall's office.
"But you don't know what he's doing." Draco pointed out.
Annabeth sighed. "He's done it before. Now come on, we need to tell McGonagall about Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Send out a rescue team or something."
"I actually have an idea."
Annabeth turned to Draco, and raised her eyebrows. "What?"
"No one other than you knows that I'm on your side. I live at the Manor."
Annabeth smiled, realizing where Draco was going with his idea.
"But we can't tell McGonagall, or else everything after won't work."
Annabeth nodded. "I don't entirely like the idea of keeping Minerva in the dark, but... I think you're right. Now come on. We got work to do."
Annabeth and Draco began to head towards the library in hopes of finding more of Voldemort's horcruxes, and sending their plan into action.
