《Saving Wisdom and Wizards || PJO x HP Crossover》Chapter 46: Mortal

Annabeth's eyes widened as she realized what Percy was thinking. "Percy Jackson if you go to Nico, I swear to the gods that you will be dead before you even-"

"Love you Wise Girl! I'll be back before you know it." Percy yelled, as he ran out of Hogwarts. Once he was outside the boundary, he took a deep breath and apparated to Camp Half- Blood.

Percy fell to the ground outside of the border. "Schist, I need to get better at that."

Getting up, Percy walked towards the giant pine tree marking Camp Half- Blood's border. That was, until his forehead smacked something hard. "What in Hades?" Percy grumbled.

He ran into nothing. Percy reached out his hand and felt a smooth, invisible, barrier. "Oh come, on!" Percy yelled. Demigod powers, gone. Apparently, in the eyes of the gods, Percy was a mortal.

Not like he was complaining. He always hated being a demigod. But now that he wasn't constantly being threatened with death at every turn.... he missed it.

And he was pissed off at whoever did this.

"Hey!" Percy banged on the barrier, yelling out to no one in particular. "Hello? I know for a fact someone is here to let me in!" Percy continued banging.

"Percy?"

"Nico! Let me in!"

"What's wrong with you?"

"It's a really, really, long story, that we don't have time for right now-"

Nico held up his hand. "Do not say that to me again." Percy stared at him. "You will tell me, and Will, and Chiron, everything." Nico looked at Percy. "Starting, with why the heck you can't get into camp."

Percy hung his head. "Just let me in okay?"

Nico nodded. "I, Nico D'Angelo, son of Hades, give Percy Jackson permission to enter."

Sitting inside of the meeting room, Percy finished recounting everything that happened to Will, Nico, and Chiron.

"You left out the part where you and Annabeth are engaged!" Nico yelled, pointing at Percy's ring. Will put his hand on Nico's shoulder.

Percy rubbed the back of his neck. "We wanted to tell you guys, it's just, whenever something good happens, something bad happens, and we didn't want to tempt the Fates... again," Percy explained.

"Yeah well something bad did happen. You're not a demigod." Nico pointed out. "So really, when you think about it-"

"Nico." Will cut him off. "Percy, it's not possible for you to be mortal. You're half- god. That isn't something that can just be taken away."

"Great. Well then explain to me why I don't have any of my powers, why I couldn't get into camp, and why I haven't been attacked by one monster for the past three days!" Percy yelled. He was beyond frustrated. "Chiron? Have anything to add?"

"Only a god has the power to do something as strong as this," Chiron mused.

Percy groaned. "Great. Well that really narrows down the list. Now I can check off titans, giants, monsters... but oh, darn. That still leaves every dam god and goddess out there." Chiron gave Percy a look, but Percy ignored it and continued, "Gee I wonder which god has it out for me this time. Zeus, Ares, Hades... man the list really does go on. But oh shoot. They might not even be Greek. I could be dealing with an angry Roman god. Now the list gets bigger." Percy waved his hands, before leaning back into his chair and crossing his arms.

Will, Nico, and Chiron stared at Percy's outburst.

Chiron worried that Percy was beginning to spiral again. And when Percy spiraled, he was even more reckless than normal.

Which is saying a lot.

"Percy my boy, we will figure this out," Chiron reassured.

Percy scoffed. "Yeah, let me know when you do that." Percy sighed, before taking a few deep breaths.

"Percy, from what it sounds like, you've already done your part in the prophecy. Maybe it's time to take a-"

"No." Percy said, cutting off Will. "There's still one line left, Annabeth is still there, and I'm not leaving her, and I know she won't leave, so neither can I until this whole thing is over."

Percy went to get up from his chair. "It's been nice seeing you guys, but I've got to go."

"Percy, wait," Nico said.

"What?"

"Why did you come?"

Percy sighed. What he was going to ask Nico... there's no way he'd agree to it. Percy would just have to do it on his own.

So Percy did the only thing he could think of. He lied. "Annabeth and I can't use Iris Messaging," Percy said.

"Neither can we," Will replied.

"Great. Why?"

"We don't know. But not only can we not contact the gods, Rachel can't give prophecies. It's like her power connecting her to the Oracle is gone."

Percy groaned. "Why do I have a feeling this is going to be a problem for us?"

Nico grinned. "'Cause the gods are involved."

Percy chuckled. "Fair point. I'd say update me if anything happens, but uh, you can't, so I'll see you guys around."

"Be safe, my boy," Chiron said.

Percy gave a smile in response. He'd promise, but with his current plan, that wouldn't be a good idea.

Percy then turned to leave camp's borders, before apparating away to L.A.

Percy fell in an alleyway right outside a recording studio.

Percy knew what he was doing was stupid and reckless. But any edge they could get over Voldemort was good enough for him.

Then again, Percy wasn't worried about this killing him.

He was more worried about Annabeth killing him when this works out.

If this works out.
