《Rosa Perri Gilbert》Chapter 16

So far classes have been great. I'm also more acquainted with Grace. Apparently she's Miss Raine's Goddaughter AND studied at the Royal Ballet in London. She's wicked talented. Grace also seems to be a bit rebellious and does what she wants. Myself, not so much...with authority anyway. But we're getting along quite well.
I do miss having Kat as a roommate though. She hasn't had the best of luck with making friends at her new school.
Class was over and Sammy had to hurry to work. His dad still refuses to pay for Sammy to be at the Academy.
Tara has once again apologized to Grace for what she said last week. But Grace basically ignored her, but to be far Grace was on the phone.
"C'mon T, lets go I need food asap," I said dragging Tara outside.
"I don't understand how you and Kat both eat so much but gain no weight," she laughed.
I rolled my eyes and continued to drag her to the cafe.
Once we got out food and coffee Tara gripped my arm, "Oh my God! Perri its Saskia Duncan." she whispered in awe.
"We're gonna go over to her aren't we?" I asked already knowing the answer.
Tara quickly walked up to the woman pulling me along, "Um, excuse us are you Saskia Duncan?"
"I hope so," Saskia smiled at us.
"We saw you in the Firebird, you were amazing," Tara gushed, "I've been carrying the program around...do you mind?"
After she signed the program, Saskia let us join her for lunch. I'm pretty sure Tara almost fainted.
"So Tara Webster and Perry Gilbert," Saskia said, "are you a good year or a bad year?"
"Um I think we're kinda a mixed bag," Tara giggled.
"Like Chex-mix," I said without thinking, "Sorry I'm really hungry and the the cafe food is hardly appetizing."
Tara glared at me while Saskia chuckled, "Do either of you have a boyfriend?"
"No, boys are a waste of time," I answered, "plus they're gross."
Tara playfully shoved my shoulder, "I do, yes."

"I remember my Academy boyfriend," Saskia said, she then went on about how Tara's boyfriend should be committed to dance or the relationship is doomed.
At least thats what I got out of what she said. To tell you the truth I'm not a huge fan of Saskia Duncan anymore. I mean sure she's a great dancer but as a person...mmmmm yeah not so much.
Later when we went back inside, Tara, Abigail and I were looking at the week 1 results that had been posted.
"She's topped everything," Abigail said, "every single class."
"Who?" Tara asked not really paying attention.
"Grace," Abigail hissed, Tara and I just shrugged, "can't pretend that doesn't bother either of you."
"Well she's really good," Tara said, she was finding Christian's name on each list. She then sighed and left in a hurry. Living me alone, well except for Abigail but we're not close friends.
"It's unfair of them to let someone transfer into second year and disrupt the whole dynamic," She complained.
"Oh just get over it already," I said not wanting to hear anymore of it.
Before she could bitch me out, two first years that were oddly dressed like mini-Abigails waked up to us, "Abigail, we just wanted to say that you were robbed," one of them said then the two walked off.
And with that Abigail left to follow to the first years. There is defiantly something fishy going on with that but I am way too lazy to look into it.
When I got back to my room Grace was there too.
"Hey roomy," she greeted.
"Hey, oh congrats on topping all the classes," I said sincerely.
"Thanks! But hey I've got a question." she said sitting on my bed while I put my things away.
"Sure whats up?"
"Who is this?" she asked holding up a picture. It was a picture of Kol and I dancing at the ball. I'm not sure how or who took that picture but Nik gave it to me that night. The picture was taken during the waltz.
"Thats my friend Kol," I said nonchalantly.

"Yeah he is so not looking at you like a friend," she said, "I mean seriously, he's looking at you like you're the love of his life." I felt the heat quickly rise in my cheeks at this comment, which didn't go unnoticed by Grace, "I saw that!"
"Saw what?" I asked turning away from her.
"That blush on your cheeks," she said, "You like him.
"We're just..." I sighed knowing that she wasn't about to believe the 'we're just friends' line, "Shut up."
"Awe Perri's got a crush!" she squealed clasping her hands together.
I threw mu jacket at her, "Will you be quiet! I don't need Tara to hear, then I'd never hear the end of it."
Garce playfully rolled her eyes but dropped thankfully dropped the subject.
A few minutes passed and Grace was feeding her pet Axolotl. It's a creepy but in a weird way kinda cute pet.
The two first years that were dressed like Abigail kicked on our door. They were asking Grace a bunch of questions on why she was at the Academy. They claimed they were writing something for the 'new letter' well I claim that is utter bullshit.
I didn't say anything for the the whole interview thought, Sammy and Christian with texted me to meet them by the cafe.
When I got there I saw a circle of kids surrounding a piece of cardboard. There was music playing and people taking turns dancing and showing off their moves.
Ever since they took Hip-Hop off the curriculum last year, we've been trying to figure out how to get it back on. And in our spare time we just do it for fun.
While this one kid was going, I think he was trying to copy what Christian did, the music stopped and he fell. We all turned to see what happened and saw an irritated Miss Raine standing there.
"I see you listened carefully to our talk this morning," She said to Christian.
"Well you said more cardio right?" he asked snakily.
"Clear this walkway. It's a health and safety issue," she demanded.
After she left Christian said for all of us to meet at the studio the next day after hours. Thats where we'd practice Hip-hop.
"Let the Revolution begin," Sammy said causing me to laugh slightly.
Once everyone dispersed, I linked my arm with Sammy's and we made our way back to the boarding house.
While relaxing on the couch, Kat came to visit! She and I were taking about a cute video about a dog that I sent her a couple days ago. But we were interrupted when Tara skipped into the room handing Christian a piece of paper.
Tara began explaining what it was.
"A pie chart, it tracks all of your out o class activities for maximum time management. I had one too, they're color coordinated!" she exclaimed, " If we both don't get into the company then Saskia says we have no chance of staying together."
Kat, Sammy and I all went wide-eyed, trying not to burst out laughing.
*Time Skip*
Right now I'm on my bed doing homework...yay. As usual Grace is MIA, but I'm starting to get used to it.
Before I have time to die of boredom my phone started ringing. Reading the caller I.D. my spirits were immediately lifted.
Me: Bekah! What's going on?
B: Perri, it is so good to hear your voice. I am just about ready to dagger myself if I have to spend one more minute with my unbearable brothers.
Me: C'mon they're not that bad......oh who am I kidding, yes they are.
B: so how's dance school?
ME: Fine, already I can tell this year is gong to be filled to the brim in drama. But what more should I expect from a dance school?
B:Well I can't say its any better here, with a new doppelgänger every other week. Hey when do you have break? I am in desperate need of some girl time?
Me: To far to even think about. Hey why don't you come and visit me?
B: Really?!
Me: Yeah totally! It would be so much fun! How's about in a couple of weeks?
B: Can't wait! I've already started packing. I have to go now, Nik needs me for something, but we'll talk soon, bye!
Me: Later Bekah!
Well now I have something to look forward to other than classes every day.
