《Rosa Perri Gilbert》Chapter 4

Currently I am in the park reading a book, my favorite actually, The Outsiders. I was sitting cross legged on one of the benches. I had finally gotten away from the 'Scooby Gang,' that's what Damon calls them.
I was so into my book that I didn't realize someone sat next to me until a voice spoke up.
"So you must be the youngest Gilbert my brother has been talking about," a British voice said startling me, "Sorry love, didn't mean to scare you," the man chuckled. He looked over at him, he had short, curly, blond hair, and light blue eyes.
"Let me guess you're one of Kol's brothers?" I asked reluctantly closing my book.
"Smart girl," he said smiling, showing the most adorable dimples ever, "I'm Niklaus."
Niklaus? Wait, Klaus? Well... shit.
"So you're Klaus?" I asked, a little nervous, I mean from what everyone told me, he's the most dangerous original.
"No need to be nervous, love, I won't harm you," he said the last bit with sincerity in his voice. I looked at him again, studying him. He was very handsome, like Kol, maybe it's a family thing? He looked to be very tall, again, like Kol. But then again everyone is tall to me, I'm more on the shorter side of humanity. I also noticed he had a sort of superiority to him.
"So Perri, why are you all alone? It's very dangerous," Klaus said.
"You know thats what the serial killer says right before he kidnaps you," I said partly joking.
Klaus chuckled, "Love, if I wanted to kidnap you, we wouldn't be sitting here having a conversation."
"Hm I guess so," I said still not entirely sure about him. I know what Elena told me about the Mikaelson's but I don't like judging people before I get to know them. And Elena has been known to blow things out of proportion and be over dramatic.

"I have a question," he said. I nodded my head for him to continue, "From what Kol told me you have just arrived back in Mystic Falls. Back From where?"
" Oh, uh, I go to the National Academy of Dance, in Australia," I stated proudly.
"Well congratulations, from my intelligence it is a hard school to get into," Klaus said smiling at me, "You're not like your siblings are you?" He said out of nowhere.
I looked down, "Yeah, I'm kinda like the oddball in the family."
"No, you're the special one," Klaus said. I looked over at him find he was already staring at me, "People underestimate and take you for granted, when they shouldn't." Despite everything that he's done, well from what I was told he's done, Klaus seems like a nice guy.
"Are you saying that about me, or are you speaking from experience?" I asked softly, not breaking eye contact.
He gave me a small smile, "A little of both I suppose."
"You're a lot different than I thought you'd be," I said furrowing my eyebrows.
"How so?" he asked intrigued.
"Well from what everyone has told me, I pictured a huge ugly monster," I laughed, "I dunno, I just wasn't expecting...this," I gestured to him.
"Should I take that as a compliment?" he asked raising his eyebrows, and chuckling.
I shrugged my shoulders, "Up to you," I laughed.
"Well Miss Gilbert, I have to be on my way but I would like to invite you to my family's house tomorrow," Klaus said, standing up from the bench.
"Hmmm, a human in a house full of original vampires, an original witch and the original hybrid? Eh, why not? How many people can say they've done that?" I smiled accepting his offer. A huge smile broke out onto his face.

"Wonderful! I've already put my number in your phone and I have yours. So I will pick you up around 11?" Klaus said while cheekily handing me my phone.
"Sure, I'll see you tomorrow than Klaus," I said laughing softly.
"Goodbye Perri," he said kissing my hand, "Oh and call me Nik."
"Whatever you say, Nik, I'll see you soon," I said, without another word he vamp sped away.
Whelp I guess I'll slowly make my way back home. Maybe I can finish my book without any more interruptions.

Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment! Any sort of feedback can help me become a better writer and write more engaging stories for you. I used to update once every 3-5 days, but this rewrite is taking much too long...I do hope it will be worth it.

The Goddess’ Chosen
Destiny is a strange force indeed. One simple act can create a ripple, one simple change can cause a cataclysm. One act outside of the individual would be enough to alter one's life no matter how insignificant that life may be. This is the adventures of Allisa Reed, a young girl from our world who found the legendary sword Excalibur and taken to the magical world of Avalon. On the other side of the portal with her friends by her side, Allisa is forced into a conflict she is not prepared for, ordained as the Goddess Chosen to bring about one of two possible outcomes; Salvation or destruction. ------------------------------------ Author's notes: This is more or less the first draft of this story. Currently working on a second draft. Spelling and grammar is definitely my biggest weakness, particularly in my earlier stuff. I've done some editing and hopefully have ironed out most of these mistakes in my older chapters though I'm fairly certain there are some mistakes still left. This story is ongoing. Updates are slow as I publish when a chapter is ready. Expect long chapters for most of it. Just sort of my style. Only available on Royal road.com
