《Rosa Perri Gilbert》Chapter 5

"Hey Perri, I'm going to Salvatore's you wanna come?" Elena asked me.
"No I'm good I think I'm just gonna practice," I lied.
"Of course you are," she shook her head at me, "Just be careful okay? Call me, Jeremy or Ric if anything happens okay? See you later," she said closing the door and driving away.
Perfect Elena and Jeremy are both gone. I'm not really sure where Jeremy is, or Ric for that matter. Maybe they're at the Grill. Right now it's 10:20. Plenty of time before Kl- I mean, Nik gets here.
Nik picked me up at exactly 11:00. The drive was pretty quick, mostly because Nik was speeding, but also because we were laughing and joking which passed the time.
As we pulled up to the house, well more like castle, I was utterly amazed.
"It's beautiful," I said staring out the window. Nik said something under his breathe but I was too much in awe to ask what it was. When we were parked Nik used his vamp speed to open my door for me.
"What a gentleman," I said hooking my arm around his.
"Only for you love," he said as we made our way to the door.
"What if they don't like me?" I asked suddenly getting nervous as we got closer to the doors.
"You're entering house full of the oldest vampires on earth and you're worried they won't like you?" Nik said laughing.
This made me calm down a little, "Oh, shut up," I said punching his shoulder, but I know that had no affect on him, he only laughed more at my childishness.
"Welcome, Miss Perri to the Mikaelson household," Nik said opening the door, revealing a gorgeous foyer. Damn and I thought outside of the house was nice.
"Sweet," I said letting my eyes wander around. Nik laughed at me...again, I shot him a 'shut up' look.
"Perri," a familiar voice said, "I thought I heard your angelic voice," I blushed looking down.

"Kol its great to you again," I said smiling, my cheeks probably still pink.
"Why don't we move to the den? The rest of the family is there," Kol said offering me his arm which I gladly took. Nik glared at his brother but Kol took no notice to it.
He led me to a beautiful area filled with luxurious furniture, and a couple paintings scattered around the walls.
"Everyone," Kol started, "this is Perri Gilbert, the twin sister of Jeremy Gilbert."
"I'm Rebekah, pleased to meet you," a tall blonde girl said walking up to me, I suddenly feel really self conscious.
"It's nice to meet you too, by the way to I love your shoes," I said looking at her adorable booties.
"Thanks," she smiled, "You're much prettier than your doppel-bitch sister."
"Doppel-bitch?" I asked confusedly.
"Doppelgänger bitch," Rebekah clarified.
"Oh! That's actually really funny," I said giggling. Even though she's my sister, Elena can be a real bitch at times.
"Huh I thought you'd yell at me or something," she said a little surprised.
"Well she can be a little self centered. Okay a lot, and ever since our parents died she's acted like everything's about her. And not to mention she kept a HUGE secret form me that her two lovers just happen to be vampires," I said irritated, "sorry about the rant."
"No need to be sorry, I think you and I will be great friends," Rebekah said smiling happily.
A well dressed man was next to approach me, "Perri, it is wonderful to meet you, I am Elijah and may I just say how beautiful you are," he said in a soft voice. Wow these Mikaelson men sure are lookers.
I was obviously blushing, "Elijah its nice to meet you too, and thank you for the compliment," I said sort of awkwardly.
"Well a young woman like yourself is sure to be showered on compliments," he said still keeping his nice smile.
I scoffed lightly, 'huh I wish,' I thought in my head.

"You must be the new Gilbert my sons seem to be so fond of," a voice said behind me. I turned around to see an older looking woman but no less beautiful. I could see a lot of Rebekah in her.
"Uh, yes ma'am I guess that would be me," I said awkwardly.
She chuckled and smiled at me, "Dear call me Esther," she said kindly.
"Esther it's nice to meet you," I said as politely as I could.
"And you," she nodded her head at me, "So from what Niklaus tells me you have been away at school?"
"Yeah, I go to school in Sydney, Australia," I said simply, "I attend the National Academy of Dance."
"I have heard of that school," Elijah said, "I have seen some of the ballets they put on. It is a very prestigious school. You must be very talented."
"Huh well, I'm not one to brag, but I am the female scholarship student of my year," I said flipping my hair over my shoulder, in a dramatic way.
"You failed to mention that yesterday," Nik said raising his eyebrows accusingly at me.
"Well like I just said, I'm not one to brag," I sassed. Nik chuckled and shook his head.
"Who're you?" a new voice said. Another man had come into the den, he wasn't as good-looking as Nik, Kol or Elijah but he was still somewhat handsome.
"Oh great, Finn's home," Kol said sarcastically.
'Finn' glared at Kol then looked back at me, "Who're you?" he repeated.
I was about to answer but was beaten to it by Esther, "Finn, love, this is Perri. She is our guest for the evening," her voice held a motherly sternness to it.
"Of course mother, it is a pleasure to meet you Miss Perri," he said in a monotone voice. He bowed and left going upstairs, probably to his room.
"So Perri you wanna go shopping with me tomorrow?" Rebekah asked once Finn was out of sight.
"I would love to, but I try to save my money for school. The equipment is really expensive," I said a little sad. But instead of looking disappointed Rebekah laughed, making me very confused.
"You won't have to pay," she said in a duh tone waving her hand at me.
"Wait what?" I asked, did she want me to steal? I'm not about to steal anything.
"Darling, we are the oldest family on Earth, we have an infinite amount of money," Kol explained, "Not to mention compulsion."
"Ohhh," I said understanding, "Okay answer me this, how does compulsion work."
Kol was about to explain but my phone started to go off.
"Is that One Direction?" Nik asked trying to hold in a laugh.
"Yes it is," I said in a matter-of-fact tone, "Now if you'll excuse me I have to take this before Jeremy calls the FBI," I said, Nik laughed at this.
Me:Yes dearest brother of mine?
Jeremy:Where are you!?- I held the phone away from my ear
Me:Well thanks for making me deaf in that ear. And to answer your bossy question, I'm at a friends house.
J:WHO?!
Me:No one that you need to know.
J:Why do you have to be so difficult?
Me:Why do you have to be so nosy?
The Mikaelson's were chuckling at my childish banter with my brother, I could tell that they were trying not to laugh out loud.
?:Come to the Boarding house right now young lady!- It was Damon, who does he think he is? My father? Yeah I don't think so.
Me No!
D:Yes!
Finn came back downstairs, "Brother how am I supposed to use this electronic box again?" he asked frustratingly.
D:Who was that?!
Oh shit.
D:Are you at the Mikaelson's?!
Me:Would you look at that? My phone is gonna die, gotta go bye!
I hurriedly hung up the phone, "I'm in a lot trouble," I said mostly to myself.

The overall story is pieced together through the perspective of the characters presented, first + third person narrative styles because I enjoy reading novels with similar storytelling. Please feel free to provide any comments and constructive criticisms for me because I love to read what you think so I can continue to improve on my imperfections and make the story better. Cheers!
