Ones does not normally remember much if anything of their small childhood, but I never said I was normal. I've always had impeccable memory. If I said I forgot, I was most certainly lying.

Very fortunately, I have had the chance to meet my great, great grandmother, Queen Madeline. Unfortunately, I couldn't exactly talk and it was very brief.

My family had always been superstitious and when I was born on the same day as my great grandfather, they were fear stricken. As soon as I was born, they wrote to my ancestor, begging her for advice or any word. Queen Madeline actually left Europe to see me and my family.

I was only a few weeks old when she arrived. Upon her arrival, she was immediately escorted to me and my family, waiting for her words in the parlor. I remember every single family member being in that room, making it cramped and hard to breathe.

- Upon Queen Madeline's entry to the room, everyone, including my mother, knelt and bowed their heads in the utmost respect to their Queen. She gracefully and humbly took the respect with a smile and waited for us to come to our feet again.

"We can't thank you enough for coming all the way here to counsel us, Your Grace." my mother said, still bowing her head.

"Of course, child. I am happy to help. We may be distant, but royal blood still flows through your veins." Queen Madeline said, smiling with an odd nurturing warmth to her. "Let me see the child."

My mother followed the Queen's request, and gently handed me over to her.

Queen Madeline's arms were warm and calm, even more so than Edmund's. They had a true warmth. They were unlike anything I had ever felt and unlike anything I would ever feel again.

Not even five seconds in her arms, and she gasped at me like she had seen a ghost.

"The- the eyes. The circles on his head..." the Queen looked up at my mother. "You need to get rid of him. He will cause nothing but hardship! This is a wicked child that will take pleasure in nothing but the suffering of others!"

Everyone in the room gasped, taken aback by their otherwise calm and collected Queen's hysterics.

"I'm not beheadin' this one, too!!" a woman yelled after the Queen finished.

The mighty Queen Madeline handed me off back to my dumbfounded parents and walked away, fleeing right back to Europe without staying a single night. -

Guess my ancestor was right about me. I really do take pleasure in the suffering of others and that only. They really, truly should've taken her advice and left me in the woods. At least then, I would've at least been food for the wolves.
