"Sai." I heard Lance call from right beside me.

Startled, a sudden wave of terror ran through me, causing me to jump.

I must've been so engrossed in myself, I didn't even hear him approach.

"Woah there, calm yourself. I'd only hurt you if you did something wrong. I'm not cruel."

Oh, that reminds me...

-I hadn't tried Lance since that day. I figured that without my power, I was weak. I wasn't as strong as Lance, I couldn't outrun him even if I knew the layout of the house, and he keeps the basement locked. I was hopeless, so I was forced into acceptance.

However, I was rewarded for my decision. Because I was obedient, every time I was washed up and put back, Lance took off one restraint. First, He uncuffed my ankles. Second was the mouth piece. Third was my blindfold, leaving me with the only thing left, the cuffs that restrained me to the bed. He told me he wasn't quite ready to take them off.-

Lance softly chuckled, looking at me with those troubled, blue eyes and that uptight, dimpled smile.

I looked back at him with questioning eyes.

He drew in a sharp breath, "I was just thinking about how cute you've been lately."

I looked away from him and rather past him.

Though I might as well be, I'm not just some pet.

He reached his hand to my cheek and stroked it ever so sweetly with his cold hands, bringing my eyes back to his.

"Lately, you've been such a good boy. You haven't fought me at all since the other day."

He let out a small chuckle, then shifted his expression to a menacing one, contradiction the one just moments before. He stopped his hand on my face and leaned in closer to me.

Thrown into the sudden, toxic atmosphere, I started to sweat out of fear.

"..But I think you're bluffing. Your 'change of heart' was all too sudden."

He continued to glare a hole right through me.

Finally, I couldn't take anymore of the horrifying aura Lance was emitting. Shaking, I turned my head away from him, squeezing my eyes shut. I drew in a hitched breath, as I started to cry.

Lance took my face and forced me to look at him, just staring into my eyes. He seemed to be studying them.

"...Are those real tears?" he pressed.
