After last night, I am completely drained this morning. Peyton is staying in our pack house, so when I walk down to the kitchen I'm not surprised to see her, Kai's arm wrapped over her shoulder. I smile.
"Hi, Peyton,"
She smiles back.
"Hi, alpha,"
"Please, call me Paige," I correct her. She nods her head okay.
"Paige! Paige! Paige!" I turn around to see Charlie running full speed towards me. I step out of the way before she can run into me, and she keeps on running.
"Aaaah!" She screams as she's about to crash into the wall, but Jaye runs in in the last minute and catches her before she does so.
"Thanks, Jaye!" She smiles as Jaye sets her down onto the ground.
"No worries," he smiles.
"Now, what is it that you wanted to tell me?" I ask as she walks up to me.
"I'm playing hide & seek with Frank and Lewis. Have you seen 'em?" She asks excitedly. I shake my head.
"I haven't seen them this morning, sorry," I say. She sighs and pouts.
"It's okay," she says, then runs off to find them.
I hope they're alright, May says, worry weaving through her voice.
Why do you say that? I ask. I can feel her shrug.
I don't know, something just doesn't feel right. Like something bad's going to happen soon, she replies. That makes me worried. If something happens to any of them, I don't know what I'd do.
"Hey? You okay?" Jaye waves a hand I front of my face, bringing me back from my thoughts. I nod my head.
"Yeah, I'm fine. May just said she thinks somethings gonna happen, though." I explain. Jaye presses his lips into a thin line.

"Good or bad?" He asks worriedly.
"Judging by the way she said it, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be something bad."

"Hey, Paige? You okay?" Bonita asks as she walks up to me. I nod my head.
"I'm fine, but May thinks something bad's gonna happen today, and I'm worried. What if something happens to Charlie? Or Lewis? Or Frank? What if something happens to Jaye?"
"Aw, you worrying about me, babe? Don't worry, I can take care of myself," Jaye pops up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist.
"I'm serious Jaye! I'm really scared. I'm a terrible alpha," I mumble the last part. Jaye turns me around to face him.
"You are nota terrible alpha. You're probably even better than me, and I'm a guy,"
"Again with the sexist statements!" I exclaim. He lets go.
"You know what I mean," he says.
"No, I actually don't," I mumble. He rolls his eyes.
"Whatever. The point is, your an absolutely fantastic alpha, an absolutely fantastic sister, an absolutely fantastic mother, and an absolutely fantastic mate. Now don't you ever forget that,"

The Chronicles of Artharian Dagworth
Back in 2020 there were many theories on how the world would end. From the many religions apocalypses, nuclear wars that would leave the planet inhabitable, global warming doing the same, biological weapons getting out of control, viruses mutating into unstoppable diseases to the dead raising to prey on humanity, either due to a virus or just because hell filled up. Also, aliens, from the war mongering kind to the ones so advanced they didn’t see us as more than worms. And of course there was the fail proof theory that the world would end when the sun died. In a bunch of billion years give or take. Althougth some new scientist were discussing if the end would be on the take side, since when the sun started dying things would go haywire on the entire solar system and we would collide with mercury or maybe mars way before the expanding sun engulfed earth. But I digress… Now, those were the mainstream theories that the everyday Joe, who didn’t know the big secret, worried about. So, if you were to ask me which theory was correct I can tell you that I haven’t seen any little green man, at least not from another planet, and so far the sun is still shining, although it’s been only 9 years since everything went to hell, not the few billions (give or take) the scientist predicted, so that one isn’t ruled out yet. These two aside, I'd say all of them. Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at writing. I have been planning to do it for a really long time, and while this is not the one epic fantasy idea I ever wanted to write, I think it's a good one. The plan is to write an end of the world urban-fantasy series. Think a world like Dresden Files, Alex Verus, Iron druid, where magic is real but exist hidden from society meets the apocalypse. It will be written in first person in the Dresden Files style, no plans for other POV for now. As you probally alredy guessed from my style, english is not my first langague, so while google corrector helps, expect grammar errors, and I'd be gratefull for anyone to point them. I plan to write 2 to 3 chapters a week, 2000-4000 words each. Might change as I get more experience and depends on my free time. Cover image from the colections of getwallpapers.com

In Pursuit of Bark's Finest
On the frontiers of transhumanity’s expansion into the galaxy thousands of light years from the light of Sol, things can get rather chaotic. There are countless millions of nascent interstellar nations securing their interests, pirate ships prospering off plunder and deniable mercenary work, dissidents setting up their own civilizations, and other groups all trying to push an agenda. When these groups crash into each other, the results can become extremely messy and convoluted. Recently, a frontier nation calling itself the Red Star Union has found itself at the focal point of one such complication. A freighter under their protection has been sabotaged, hijacked in interstellar space, and robbed of its cargo. This would be bad enough even if all it were carrying was luxury goods, but the freighter Nebula Plow was carrying more than just normal trade goods. Indeed, her cargo of Non-Orientable Wormholes for use in starship power plants was both very expensive and very, very dangerous. Now the Red Star Union has to worry about a pirate crew running around with several extra devices capable of converting matter into antimatter with negligible energy cost. With those, the pirates could be capable of inflicting untold damage if allowed to leverage their ill-gotten gains into a stronger position, a possibility the Union finds completely intolerable. Unfortunately, all that the Red Star Union has to go on for evidence is two names; that of the captain, and that of the ship. The Captain is going by the possible pseudonym of Fuller, while the ship is named Bark’s Finest. And thus the orders came down to the Union’s Bureau of Starforce Intelligence: find more information on these pirates, conclusively identify them, and figure out where exactly they’ve gone to ground so that the fleet can crush them before they get established. Of the many agents that the bureau assigned to this mission, one would happen to play an important role: Field Agent Madeline Zargosty. This is her story. This story is entirely pre-written, and will have one chapter released per week. If you want to read it all ahead of schedule and get access to some premium-exclusive bonus content, the entire book is available for purchase; links to the appropriate storefront pages will be posted at the end of each chapter. This story is also being posted to Scribblehub.
