"What did you do back there?" I ask Jaye as we walk to the stadium. He looks at me and his eyes glow iridescent blue. My eyes widen in shock.
"You didn't, did you?" I ask, my eyebrows knitting together in worry. He smirks, then looks away. I sigh.
"He was a werewolf, anyway." He reassures me.
"Jaye, that's not the point. You can't just go around demanding things," I protest. He frowns.
"Why not? I'm an alpha,"
"I'm an alpha, too. Does that mean I can go around demanding things?" I deadpan.
"No; you're a girl," He replies. I glare at him.
Well then, sexist much? May scowls.
Ha, totally. I reply.
"Now that's just rude," I scowl. He smirks.
"But it's true," he smiles. I glare at him and punch him in the shoulder. He just smiles wider. Then I start chasing him, and he turns around and sprints off toward the stadium. When we get closer to the stadium, I stop chasing him and we walk in, his arm wrapped around my shoulder.
"Hi! I'm Peyton! Nice to meet you!" Kai's mate shakes my hand. I smile.
"Nice to meet you, too!"
We walk to the counter and get some skates, then we walk onto the ice.
"Are you good at skating?" Peyton asks. I shake my head.
"Not really,"
"Come on, it's easy! You'll get the hang of it!" She smiles, then turns around and skates off. I watch in awe as she spins and leaps and twirls, and every time she lands perfectly.
"I wish I could do that," I mumble.
"Boo!" Jaye comes up behind me and tickles me. I scream, and thrash about.
"Stop! Please, stop!" I laugh uncontrollably. Jaye smirks.

"Who's the best mate ever?" He asks, and tickles me more. I laugh harder.
"Me," I laugh. He growls playfully and continues to tickle me.
"Who's the best mate ever?" He asks again.
"You," I laugh. He stops and puts me down, thank the moon goddess.
I watch as Paige clumsily skates around the ice rink, crashing into walls, crashing into people, and falling onto her butt.
You're the luckiest werewolf alive, Brodee says. I can just picture him smiling as he watches her.
You're the luckiest wolf alive, I reply. He doesn't say anything in return.

After an hour of skating and falling over, we decide to go somewhere else to get dinner.
"Macca's!" Paige exclaims happily as we walk to the car.
"No. Macca's is gross," I protest. She folds her arms over her chest.
"Macca's is bae," she scowls. I scoff.
"Did you just say bae?" I ask. She nods her head.
"Hate to break it to you, babe, but bae means poop in Danish," I laugh and pull her in for a hug. She wriggles to try and get out of my grasp, but I just tighten my grip.
"I don't care, and let me go," she whines. Kai laughs and Peyton slaps his shoulder.
"Jaye, let me go," she tries again. I shake my head.
"Fine," she mutters, before a large stab of pain shoots up my arm.
"Did you just bite me?" I ask, astonished, as I look down at my arm, punctured with teeth marks and bleeding. "With your canines?" I add on. She nods her head.
"A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do,"
