The bodies on the ground slowly began to vanish in a blur of dark red spirit energy. Looking at the remains of the leader of the Oni realm, the creature gave its parting words.

"You served your purpose; no true alliance exists.."

Its words were cut short when it saw movement among the remaining pile of slowly vanishing bodies. Looking closer, it saw a young Oni child with blood covering its naked body with tiny horns on its head, its hands and feet had tiny claws that were not fully grown. It was slowly crawling its way out of the massacre, with knees bent, and head bowed.

"Please...my lord, spare my life..., Asahi promises to faithfully serve by your side, forever."

Looking at the Oni with eyes full of disdain and arrogance, the creatures sheathed its sword, "I have no interest in having anyone serve me."

Raising its hand with a forefinger pointed at the Oni, Foxfire emerged. The creature released the Foxfire which went straight towards its target; at the last moment, the creature dispelled the blaze with a flick of its hand.
