Dragon : Before the finding of the Dragon continent, this species was know to have a quite small variation, but they where important !
First those which were deemed intelligent were of two kind:
The Kargaros: Their body look like a giant lizard with some significant differences: the most predominant is their wide leathery wing, they also have a longer neck and the way their legs a attached to their torso and pelvis is more like the cats and dogs than the lizard. Their are other difference but those are the most visible one
The Ryugami: Their body is more serpentine like, thought they style have four legs, and they fly even without wings.
Secondly those more animal liked:
The Wyvern: a lot like the Kargaros, but their wings are part of their front legs, they often have a sting at the end of their tails, or barbs most likely to be venomous.
The Guivre: Even if they look like more of a serpent they are parent of the Kargaros. They have no legs, no wings.
The Drake: They look like small Kargaros, but don't say it to a Kargaros you probably wouldn't finish that sentences!
Of those quite not like the myths of the land where they didn't live in significant number, Dragons aren't that much a magical beings. They do have Orenda like nearly every living being, and a big reserve at that thank to their size, but their power is their psionic capacity!
But when that continent was discovered the variation had more than tripled! But the most exotic were the even to this day most enigmatic Nagarr'Kyur.

She was pushed back and back again. Already she couldn't see Xia He anymore, and even with her two Kodachi and fighting truly defensively she had tacken some hit; none were really dangerous, but her blood was slowly dripping out, and her life with it.
Again one was jumping to her throat! She lowered herself and slashed his underbelly, but this one and one of the other were regenerating too quickly for it to do much more than a short lived hindrance!
Still he won't attack her for nearly ten or twenty seconds. Just as she was thinking that another one jumped at her legs, and with the two other more or less to her side she could only jump backward again. She grit her teeth and jump back again after a quick look behind. She nearly hurt herself with the branches of the tree she wanted at her back. But it wasn't all, she was pulling at the ambient mana and her own, to form a wind blade. She already had launched two other, and with the enhancement she had done at the beginning her reserved was near half, it didn't spell good.

This time on the other hand she knew to which one it would do something worth! Two launched themselves at her, one one her leg the other to bite her neck. Just as expected she grin for the first time. She jumped high having prep her ki to boost her legs power, and pined her left kodachi in the trunk and with the other launched her wind blade at the one under her who stunned itself having expected her legs there. The blade cut a good part of him, making him loose the use of its front right legs and having difficulty to breath; now she could breath again, one was as good as out!
Balancing herself on the kodachi, she tried to take a footing on one branch, but the last jumped at the same time and with the help of one under he bite her ankle! Thankfully he couldn't take hold of it but now is wasn't usable, and she knew she couldn't stay here the tree much to small for her to escape higher. She tried to look around while keeping her foot out of the reach a those beast but as one of them had just once more struck the trunk her kodachi sleep out of the wood.
With a small surprise cry she felled onto the one responsible for it, albeit that it wasn't what he really wanted. Her surprise didn't stop her to feel him under her, without any other way, she put one blade on guard before her, and struck the other right in between two of his cervical. Sadly she put too much power behind her strike and sinks it in the earth. That wouldn't have been much of a pain but the way the cervical of the wolf were constricting the blade plus that made that she couldn't snatched it easily.
While she was killing this one, the other one still alright jumped at her, slightly away of her guard blade, however this blade was moved toward his heart half because she saw him, half because of the movement of the dying one under her. The kodachi stroked true and pierced his heart with no resistance, but he still had planted his right claws on her side making her bleed even more.
She just had one more, and a handicapped one, but her two blade still struck in the monster there was nothing she could do to stop him when she saw him walking on the corps of his ex-packmate.

A sight escape her lips, her last thought was that she was going to see her grand mother quite early, and that she will have her ears ringing because of it! And that she hope her friend was alright. The warped creature with his only leg couldn't get a good killing bite but he could just trash her torso, which he wanted to.
She feeled his fangs pushing onto her leather armor before piercing it. The pain shocked her, his jaws were more powerful that she would have thought! She felt like it was crushing her bone, as she felt her blood flowing. With how much she already shed she would certainly die in less than a minute even he didn't kill her before.
Her eyelid felled heavy, and she was closing them when the wolf explode! She opened her eyes wide in shock searching for what had done that, and there a few meters away of her was... something. She had no word for it, and her head was getting heavier each passing second.
She made a small smile at the thing not knowing why, if he really had save her, or if her just wanted the concurrence to be away.
The being approached her, seems to be... looking? At her. Even if she couldn't see any eyes. Before closing her eyes for the last time, she heard a voice, without him opening his jaws.
Your strange little one, you smell like us, but you aren't, yet you are.
She felt the mana around her, it seems like waking up, waking up to sing. The amount she felt was like nothing she had ever felt she should have been crushed under the simple pressure of that much power, mana had a “weight”, and her corps should have been crushed to powder. Yet she feeled like she was in the water, hot yet refreshing.
Her eyelids feeled less heavier, as her head, so she took a better look at the entity that seems to want to save her.
A svelte long and swift four legged body, much bigger than the wolfs, probably as big as a pony. If his claw were an indication of its feeding, the finger long claws, wide like two, should show she would have been a good, if quite small meal for him. But what really made her marvel, and shocked her the most was his color, a particular silver, much to pure for it being metallic, yet never reflecting the sunlight. She know that color, she know it so very well, that was her hair color!
You will live little one, live and find us. You're barely alive as I speak, but this will help, now and later. Live and find us strange one of my kind yet a stranger to mine.
He lift his head to look back.
Some like you, yet not are coming. Your kind is not prepare for mine, don't speak of me.
And at that he simply.... disappeared. She felt him left, felt the wind, but he was much to quite for her tired eyes. She closed them finally hearing Master Chen calling her.
A few second after she felt them near, she opened her eyes slowly she was so much sleepy; yet barely able to open them halfway, she saw two beautiful eye, one deep blue, the other gold with an orange outer ring. She let go of her kodachi and lift her hand slowly, to stroke the cheek of her no doubt crying friend.
Hiiyo, Xia.... genki da.
And she closed her eye falling finally asleep a small smile on her face.
Master Chen put his hand on the head of the tiger who was trying to awake the girl. He crouch down to test her pulse, thinking it was to late, his own tear close. But to his surprise, the pulse was strong! So much blood, no doubt her own and her pulse was this strong? He keep them there a little, then said to the ears of the crying beast:
Let her sleep Xia, she's alive.
“But heaven strike me if I could tell how...” was his thought.

Tales of Demons and Dragons - An Original Xianxia GameLit
One or more chapters per day Directly Inspired by Tales of Demons and Gods, with an Italian (European) spin and magic on top of cultivation. Mix of light comedy and very dark parts. Darker chapters are marked with a disclaimer. Synopsis: Jacob reincarnates in his 15 years old body. It's just a few minutes before the Change that brought Demonic Beasts swarming all over Earth. In a matter of hours, all the big Capital Cities are razed to the ground. Dragons invaded Rome; Hydras assaulted Venice. Even nastier monsters lurk in the dark. Sadly, his talent is abysmal, and virtually everyone is stronger than him. And he knows that Demonic Beasts are not his only concern, for humans can be far more malevolent at times. St. Peter, Jacob's small mountain hometown in Abruzzo, houses only a few hundred. And since bigger monsters appear in more populated cities, they are relatively safe, or so he thought. But, he soon realizes that even if he went back in time, not everything is the same. And one thing is for sure: he is not the same. His soulmate is now in front of him once again, but things are different. Maybe too different. Follow Jacob in his struggles to protect everyone, change his talent, acquire strength, confront lost loves, and maybe meet new ones. This reincarnation story shows that people who can go back to their past may not be as successful as they thought. I will write no harem in this story. The protagonist may be involved with more than one girl, but not every female will fall at his feet. Swearing will be censored whenever possible since some people do not like explicit forms. However, the censoring will be minimal, like "Fuc**ng." [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
